    I was listening to my brand new pair of Beoplay H7's while working at a cafe today. A guy showed up and I noticed that he had a pair of 100x's. A little later he asked me about them. We talked for a few and demo'd each others headphones. I you could tell that he was pretty impressed. If you don't need anc then the Beoplay H7 is king at this price point. The H9 has it for another $100.

      i have beoplay h7 too do they connect to the bang and olufsen app mine just dont add themselves it says error occured i don't know whats wrong with my piece i reseted them n deleated n reinstalled the app n software updated the headphones via computer still no luck bang and olufsen said they will release firmware for this in mid feb 2019 hope that helps.....

    I have these. They are very comfortable! The sound of them are pretty good also but if you love loud music these are not the one's to get. The noise cancelling is pretty decent not like my Sony Xm3's though. The app is useless that's for sure. The touch control's are pretty accurate better than my Sony's.

    I would choose the 550's over the Sony's and QC 35's just because they have more feature than the other 2.

    • @jlsnfl81
      @jlsnfl81 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I chose them because the Bose and Sony gave so much added pressure from the anc I couldn’t handle it. I found with the Sennheiser their is no added pressure from this

    Nice honest review! BUT try to let the battery completely dry , so that the electronics power off (it's the only way), and then use the headphones again. What you'll hear, will blow your mind! The headphones are getting to a completely superior level, especially with the use of a dac or amp. I discovered it accidentally. ..... The electronics limit so much the headphones performance. Let me know your opinion. No reviewer has mentioned it until now.

      What do you mean charge again and then get a better sound or use the included wire?

    • @bened22
      @bened22 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      He must mean use the 3.5 jack wire. You can only use this headphones "off" when they have no charge.

      @@bened22 I thought that he said that when using the 3.5 to 2.5 extension wire, the unit will turn off all electronics of the headset.

    Will the EQ WORK with Spotify? I hear it does not. Does the app shows the songs your playing on Spotify? I heard it will only work if you got songs downloaded. That will be useless

    • @rajatukey2992
      @rajatukey2992 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it doesn't save equalizer on the headphones its just in the app the effects on the other hand can be saved on headphones n works a little for bass enhancement etc but doesn't do much plus these headphones aren't that loud n their app captune hasn't been updated for over a year or more in app store so i didn't end up loving these that much but its ok still wish we could save eq i contacted sennheiser they said they dont have plans for any firmware update so i guess its useless to some people noise cancelling is ok n sound is low in loudness n i guess even fidelity.....

      +jamomasha1 you get more bass out of the Momentums but that's about it. The 550 has incredible space in the sound, and amazing control so you can get the sound you want within the app. Also, the 550 wins in comfort and features as well

    Dear Mate,
    Please compare
    pxc 550 COSTS 629 dollars and MDR 1000x soon.. 699 dollars.
    I use MOTO G4 plus bluetooth and Mp3 files , MP4 bluray rip movies 2 gb files and youtube for news, south indian dance music from movies and
    Australia has got these ones.. I am finding it hard to select.. I am here for sound- ( punchy bass and perfect mids and quality treble) and noise cancelling feature with proper calls..
    Need your advice.. Thank you...
    Happy Easters in States...
    Kind regards,
    Pradeep Rajkumar.

    I bought the skullcandy crusher wireless and completely dissapointed with the bass. The subwoofer effect is useless for music I think. May be this headphone is for gaming and action movies only. But for music, the bass is one note, it vibrates the ears but not deep at all. The vibration doesnt refflect the frequency and interfere with the rest spectrum. Im talking the review from someone else and expected too much for the quality.
    Back to topic. whats the score of these pairs in terms of noise cancelling and bass quality?
    Sony MDR1000x, PXC550, and QC35. Since your review said, its great, wonderful, but how great. I need at least ranks to compare them.

    • @kimberlycampbell1100
      @kimberlycampbell1100 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't speak for the 550's and 1000x's, but I tried the bose at Best Buy and I was completely let down by the sound quality. The one word I would use to describe the sound quality of the Bose qc 35's is hollow. The bass was sort of deep but it just wasn't good or satisfying, the mids were just there, and the highs were sort of held back by the headphone trying to go for more bass than it could really provide. The overall sound was hollow and underwhelming(disappointing), but in terms of noise canceling, Bose has out done it self again as these block out an amazing amount of noise I couldn't even hear my friend, who was standing next to me talking, I was compelty blown away, but the downside to the excellent noise-cancellation is the cabin-like-pressure that you feel on your ears and you can't turn off ANC unless you use the cable which sucks. So if you want a good sounding headphone with deep bass then these aren't for you, but if noise cancellation is your top priority then these will not disappoint. While I haven't tried the Sennheiser's or Sony's I know that there sound signatures are much better than the Bose as both companies are known for making excellent sounding headphones.

    • @jlsnfl81
      @jlsnfl81 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s because the fcc has a law against stores letting their headphones give you the true sound to protect themselves should a child put them on. But your right the Bose did suck and gave way too much anc pressure it’s like your taking off in an airplane

  • @ultimatestewart1581
    @ultimatestewart1581 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I currently have the QC35's and I'm thinking about replacing them with the PCX 550's. Do you think that would be an upgrade on sound quality? Also, is the sound canceling good enough to even compare to QC35's? Thanks for any help.

    • @jlsnfl81
      @jlsnfl81 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ultimate Stewart the best thing about the Sennheiser is they don’t give you pressure like the Bose from anc the Bose make you feel like your taking off in an airplane

    If you have a Samsung phone, the best way to tweak ang get the best audio quality in this headphone is to use the "Adapt Sound". First, turn the ANC then plug the 3.5mm wire and start the "Adapt Sound" to calibrate. After setting up the Adapt Sound, use the bluetooth to pair your devices again and play some music. Hooray! You got the best audio that sounds like wired. Try this setup with other bluetooth headphones.
    I wish Sennheiser has Adapt Sound app as well since Captune is not really helpful in tweaking the sounds.

    Another great review, but one thing I found missing is the fact that Sennheiser's bluetooth headphones all have the apt-x codec, meaning fuck all Apple products and a number of Android devices. I have heard that the codec will make those headphones sound better if your device is compatible, but if not, it'll sound horrible.

    • @OfficialGamesky
      @OfficialGamesky  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nick Shelton it's true it does have Apt-x codec but I can promise you it still sounds great on devices that don't have it as well.

      Vadym A. The bose and the sonys are plastic to dude....Plastic keeps the headphones lightweight.

      I've got the Momentum 2.0s. They have a more premium look and feel, although they're not wireless. A businessman that cares about style and sound quality would probably opt for the more premium headphones close to the $1,000 mark (at least that is what I would do).

      +Vadym A. That is a good point but they are built that way too keep them light. It's not a cheap plastic build though, these things were able to handle me twisting and bending them with no problems
