Refreshing ! This is the word i keep on using for your videos. You see whenever your new video comes out i'm always very tempted to watch it first but no i keep it for the night time just so that i can watch it peacefully, and trust me they are quite relaxing the background music and the editing just adds to the viewing experience ! Woah man what a review. I have seen like at least 10 other reviews and nowhere they have discussed these points like the breeze problem and the voice quality over the phone calls. Excellent videos (both the QC 35 and this one) and moreover perfect for those who are just entering into the world of headphones like me and doesn't understand all that jargon in particular. Just picked up a set ( pxc 550) today.. have previously owned Bose qc 35 ll, and a pair of Sony 1000 ( can’t remember the rest)...and hands down the best sounding headphones on the market!✊✊✊

Thanks for your wonderful and detailed review... I got my PXC 550 today, I would not say it's the best, but it's actually better than the other two for sure. Audio quality and touch control are top notch. People are complaining about low volume, but I wonder how much volume is adequate. Senheizer as a prestigious brand knows what it's doing with their top of the line product. Quality at its peak...I am simply loving it. Thank you Senheizer and thanks Mr Mobile🤘

Wonderfully done video, as per usual of course, however I do have a question. Will you by any chance be having a look at the Sony MDR-1000X? I've seen it in stores and even the description that's written next to it acknowledges Bose's superb noise cancellation, but claims that Sony's pair is better than that. I tried it out, they had a machine to produce this loud jet engine noise at the demo stand, the same you'd hear on a flight. The Sony cuts out the sound amazingly well, it's almost non-existent. The Next Web says it's better than the Bose, and I prefer it over my father's QC35 for sound quality, just wanted to hear your thoughts on it. Cheers Michael ^^

Check out Jim's Review Room for his review the 1000X. I thought the 1000X were over hyped, but decided to buy a pair after watching that review. The build is really sturdy, and it doesn't feel light and fragile like the Bose headphones. Also, the touch functions on the right ear cup really come in handy, along with ambient sound for when you have to talk to people without taking them off. I really love my pair, is what I'm trying to say. Also, they look really cool.
John Couchman I actually have seen that review (a good review, might I add), though I do wonder if Michael Fisher will prefer them over his QC35s. I use a pair of wired open-back Beyerdynamics, the DTX 710, and while I love the sound quality and soundstage, after trying the MDR-1000X myself, their quality isn't far off, and having the convenience of being untethered is also quite a bonus, and as you mentioned, the build is pretty solid, much more so than my plastic cans. And I agree, they indeed look amazing
Worth noting, I have PXC550 my colleague has Bose QC35. Noticeable differences after 3 days. Touchpad isn't amazing, the turn on/off function is annoying, Skype does NOT work, the amazing noise cancellation microphones also pick up a ultrasonic cleaner vibrations that are used for jewelry cleaning etc-it turns it into a high pitch vibrating noise in your ear.. The wind while you're walking is horrible, but you get that on the Bose also. I'm probably returning these and exchanging for the Bose.
I have been a huge fan of Sennheiser for years. Since the 1980s. The QC35 is the quintessential travelers headphone. I love the sound of any 7X7 Boeing jet, but not all the flight long. I think the weight of the QC35, and comfort might sway me to stay with my recommendation to my customers, get Bose, get happy, and go somewhere!
That's a hell of a lot of cash... It would be worth it for GearVR when 4K screens are out as the cinema experience will be good enough, you'll use it all the time and when you're on a plane you need a noise-cancelling wireless headphone to cancel out the plane engine noise.

The Sennheiser pxc 550's are hands down the best built & far ahead of any other pair when it comes to tech. My cons are they just aren't loud enough. I still would recommend them over any of the Bose head sets. I truly believe that all of the Bose headsets are far overrated. I have a pair of Sony mdr MDR-Xb950B1's & which I picked up for 60$'s off of the Facebook Marketplace and I am happy that I bought them. They can hang with all of these sets. Thanks for the video!!!!
As already suggested you should try out the mdr1000x from sony. From my use the noise cancellation is better than bose's with slightly better sound quality. Comfort is one notch below, but everything else is amazing.
I'd love to see a video on the Sony MDR-1000X. Their claims are kinda unbelievable and I'd really like to see if they deliver what Sony promises and how good the noise-canceling actually is. I mean, the sound upscaling to almost high resolution audio or the "Quick Attention Mode" / "Ambient Sound Mode" which let you turn off noise-canceling by holding your hand over one ear cup / lets you hear only voices sounds pretty neat on paper. And they are the same price as the Sennheiser so they are pretty appealing within that price range. But I want to know how they compare against Bose and Sennheiser and how useful those features really are / how easy the are to trigger (accidentally?) before I spend my money on them. Love your videos but it would be nice to get some more information about the actual sound of the headphones. Especially on a comparison video. Are they heavier in the lows than the QC35 and how do the mids and highs compare? Otherwise great video. Keep it up ;D
Amazing! A local headphones store staff told me that Sony MDR-1000X is above both PXC 550 and QC35 in terms of everything. Obviously it sounded subjective but might be worth you checking it out somewhere down the pipeline?
I just got mine 2 days ago .. I was stoked .. They are sick .. But .. I honestly think the Bluetooth or something related isn't working .. My music drops every other 5 seconds after working perfectly for 5 minutes ... Ever encountered this issue before . I'm getting another set I love them that much

I request you to make a video on macbook charging practises. effects of keeping macbooks plugged into the wall socket for a week and battery drainage under these scenarios. I've never understood it. I think twice before keeping my Macbook plugged in so would like some clarity and think a video on the same would be worthwhile for all concerned. thanks
I own both. PXC 550 wins over the QC35 in terms of sound quality and features but Bose wins in comfort and NC by a hairline margine. They both are also good in phone calls. Flip a coin, you can never go wrong whichever you choose. Cheers!

Have you looked into or tried the Bowers and Wilkins PX headphones? Good quality metal design and comfy to boot, but they are pricey and they wear really tight around the dome.

unpairing and pairing the bluetooth again sorts that out, never had a problem since.

I'd like to see more reviews of products that you think we might want to buy, even ones you wouldn't recommend, that way we can know more than that you like a certain product.

I can get the Sennheiser PXC 550 for 288 dollars - I can get Bose QC 35 ii for 363 dollars - I can get the Sony WH-1000XM2 for 303 dollars

Emil Madsen the PXC. They are down to $241 on Amazon now. Bose SHOULD release the 45’s this fall, so I’d hold off on that.
