I agree about it being straight forward to build. I built my first pc a few weeks ago and im glad i went that route and not the prebuilt one.
Very good mate keep it up...quality content
thank you mate
I'm slowly building a PC for the first time and I have the s400 version of this case. I got the Asus Rog Strix b760-i gaming wifi itx motherboard and the id-cooling is-55 argb cooler. I'm thinking of either using an i5-13400 cpu from my current prebuilt HP Envy or buying an i5-12600K. I'm not a PC gamer, so I hope to get an Intel Arc a770 for editing and video AI upscaling. The only thing I don't like about these cases is the 3.0 generation of the included riser cable.
Incredible job sir. I really love your mini pc. You nailed it.
My most favorite multiplayer game is only The Finals.
I am totally addicted to it at the moment, its so much fun with a couple of friends
It's so tiny. I'm surprised the rtx4070 performs so well in that form factor. Great looking SFF build Dave.
Thank you mate. I am planning on doing more builds this year so if you have any thoughts on how I can improve the format please let me know, feedback is always greatly appreciated 😀
Thanks for this build, it is exactly what I want to do, just with the 4070 super.
Yes, I wish I had waited a bit longer and bought the super 😂
@@MashITTechI built a very similar rig in a similar case, but i should have went with this S300 or the S400.
My build has the following parts:
Asus ROG B760I
I5 12600KF
32gb Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400 cl32
RTX 4070 Super 12gb Inno3d X2
Sikverstone SX500-LG sfxl 500w modular
Samsung 980 1tb nvme ssd
Zalman M2 Mini ITX Case (10.5l)
Thermalright AXP90-X53
And im pretty happy with the results, albeit not perfect. I would have preferred to grab the S400 itx case with a 3 slot 4070 Super and the Thermalright AXP120-X67, plus the 2 top 120mm exhaust fans. Now we would be talking about the perfect itx build.
@@MashITTech alguna versión de este tipo de gabinete pero que soporte los 3 slocks para gráfica y que también soporte refrigeración liquida de 240?
I have it and love it!
Love this case, did a build with it recently also, used 12400f and 4070 great rig
do you notice any issue with framerate due to bottleneck with the 12400? I am debating between 400 and 600, but this is just a 1080 machine so I'm too too worried.
@@swervelord I do in some games but it doesn’t cause any issues. 12600kf was basically the same price on Amazon last I saw.
Hi, great build! How much does it weigh?
Sorry what was the small monitor? Brand name
This is the perfect video I've been looking for for days. Want to move to the from a nr200. I have a 13500, 4070S and the sf750 so it was meant to be! Would you say pcie 4 is better?
with a 4070 super you will see no loss in performance going to PCIE 3 and by the time cards are actually needing the extra bandwidth you could just pick up a 4 cable :)
Such a gorgeous build. Specs match my Meshlicious but I'm not happy with the fan noise. Any tips on fan curves and stuff?
what motherboard have you got? I will try and knock something up for you to help
I usually set a custom fan curve for all PWM fans at 30-40%
Would my rtx 3070 with 3 fans fit in this case.its a thick boy
@MashITTech alguna versión de este tipo de gabinete pero que soporte los 3 slocks para gráfica y que también soporte refrigeración liquida de 240?
What cons and pros of this itx and the atx?
What monitor is that ? 0:09
love the design, wish it had more fans though...
Have you used included gen 3 ribbon cable with 4070? Asking this because it says that if I got gen 4 GPU it won’t work unless I change it in BIOS to gen 3. Have you connected your GPU directly before setting Gen 3 setting in BIOS? Or it just adjusted to gen 3 automatically?
My 3060 just worked plugging it into the ribbon cable if that helps
Is that an aftermarket pcie or was it included? If so what is a 4.0 pci that’s compatible with a ASUS ROG Strix B760-I motherboard. I can’t find answers anywhere
that was the original PCI 3.0. there is no need for pci4 with 4070 and below as you won't loose any performance. Just go into the BIOS on the B760-i and switch it to pci3 before using the cable. Add me on insta and start a chat if you need help: mashittech
Hey, I saw you using a 14600 for this buildup, so I should be able to use 13600kf and successfully cool it right? Correct me if needed so.
yes mate, they are essentially the same cpu 👍
That's an awesome job on this build. BTW, can an AMD Ryzen CPU fit into the motherboard used in this build?
thank you. Sadly the motherboard accepts only intel cpu. I can recommend an AMD motherboard if you want to go that route?
@@MashITTech The AMD motherboard is what I'm definitely gonna try. And no problem!
I love that little shyte. I stuck my old amd 5700xt and I think 3600x(?) cpu in there and hooked it up to the living room tv. I guess if a 4070 is midrange then I'm living in the stone age with that one lol. But anyway, it's absolutely fantastic and not difficult at all to build in. I'm playing arkham knight on max settings at 60fps 1080p and it holds up like a champ. I should definitely get some of those thin fans though
the only complain I have about this case is that it comes with pcie 3 riser cable.
it's duo 90 degree turned but the screws mounting slots in the case are too close to each other. I don't know if it's a pcie 3 specialty but so far, I've tried several pcie 4 riser cables and none of them can fit both screws.
oh that's interesting, I haven't tried a PCIe 4 cable, I just turned the motherboard to pcie 3 and left it at that as there is literally no performance hit on my 4070. I will take a look for some pcie4 cables though and if I find one I will let you know
I have the same build but the gpu is lagging, a friend told me it is because of the pcie 3 cable and I should usd pcie 4 instead, what do you think about that?
what specs? and when you say lagging can you be a bit more specific? PCIe 3 on a 4070 will not loose any performance so it must be something else
@@MashITTech the same specs as you did except rtx 4070, I have rtx 4070 super, I changed the Pcie cable to 4 today, and it seems stable now, I am not Sure of the real reason but it is working fine now
What is the game in minute 0:20 ??
When you screw the psu back in does the screw on the opposite side screw back in or just the two on main side of the case
You do also need the screw on the other side 👍
Hi. Can you do Build in the Dan A4 case. Looking to build something like it for travel. Thanks
are you interested in the Dan a4 SFX or the Dan a4 H2o?
I've found in this case it's much easier to put the PSU in last, assuming it's fully modular.
after playing around with it I agree.
Awesome build! Wondering if it would under perform if I used a 4060 instead? Its almost half the price of a 4070
The 4060 is quite a bit weaker than the 4070 but if you are a 1080p gamer could be more than enough especially with frame generation and dlss etc
Hi, did you use pcie 3.0 or 4.0 cable for this build ? Because many of s300 cases comes with 3.0 cables.
unfortunately they all come with gen 3 cables in the UK. Though performance wise on a midrange gaming rig, you won't notice a difference between 3 and 4,
@@MashITTech Thank you for information :)
you can't use 4.0 riser cable. the mounting for the screws are too wide for the case. well you could but you have to jerry rig it some how
@@superdahohotheres an option here in asia what you want 3.0 or 4.0 cables
Hey! Can you ask MSI to send you their MSI titan 18 hx for a review? I would love to see msi titan 18 HX vs alienware m18, you, jarrods tech & gizmoslip tech are my favorite reviewers!
Thanks mate. I will reach out to msi and see what they say. I do have an m18 r2 on the way to me too so hope that arrives next week 😀
Hi Dave! Try a config with Antec Torque, I have and it is great!
P.s. not portable...😅
haha I have not even heard of that one....off to take a look :)
Will a RTX4070 TI SUPER fit in that case?
The inno3d is a two slot and fits perfectly 👍
Not sure if I missed it. But how much did it cost at the time of filming ofc
Doh, that was stupid of me, I didn’t talk about the price! I set a budget of £1600 for this one and just scraped in by shopping around (prices are rubbish in the U.K.)
@@MashITTech fair quite decent still
I got issue with my nvme at the back of the motherboard (temp maybe). very close from my 3090 FE VRAM 🌡, Any ideas ? Do you have same issue ?
what drive have you got? Mine is fine but I used a cool running drive and only a 4070. On my old Dan A4, I had the exact same issue and I used a thin heatsink on the drive but I am not sure you will have room (will check when I get a sec)
Selling the 3090 to get a cooler running 4070 Ti(or faster) may be a good option for you. 3090s that don't have a lot of airflow on the backplate have a high failure rate so be careful.
That's basically the build I have, but with a PCCOOLER case and a Ryzen 7600x
Hey what is that mini monitor at the beginning of the video?
that is the uperfect 16" 2k 120hz gaming usbc monitor: geni.us/WtjMY
@@MashITTech thanks so much! Subscribed!
that's a weird looking laptop
It's because everything is upgradable.
i choose s300 over s400 because i am a lazy guy , don't want to pay so much effort to clean off the top exhaust fan , and yet some tested with or without the exhaust fan difference is minimal
Do you reckon the 4080 super proart would fit in this case? Thanks!
haha I just put the 4080 pro art in the s400, did you see that? th-cam.com/video/8vL8GTc2jvo/w-d-xo.html give me 5 minutes, I will give it a try in the s300
thank you so much,
great channel!
@@MashITTech i watched both videos really good quality. Keep it up!
OK, just took a look and I think it will just fit if you take the whole case apart! You can't slide it in as it is 1mm too long sadly. I am going to try and disassemble it enough to pull the front panel forward out and squeeze it in
The S300 was to small for my usecase. I used the Shinysnake S400 to downsize my old System.
Ryzen 7 1700x
32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V
Nvidia GTX 1080
500gb NVME
3tb HDD
Two slim 120mm Fans on top
One slim 90mm on bottom
Quite good Temps for such a small case
Have you used included PCIE gen 3 riser cable?
How you fit those fans?
@@XINJINPIIG it’s fairly easy to fit those to S400. I have S400 myself. Just make sure to get SFX, and not SFX-L PSU otherwise bottom 90mm fan won’t fit due to PSU cables .
@@andriusmosta may case was s300
@@XINJINPIIG the guy commented on S400 case . And yeah there is no space for bottom fan in S300
Hi, any cheap motherboards that would fit this, less than £100 ideally
are you looking for intel or amd?
@@MashITTech AMD
I'm gonna be using a ryzen 5 4600g 16gb ram. Going for this case cause I don't have much space
this is your best bet: amzn.to/3uEHBBh
OK thanks, what cooler would you recommend?
Sir forza horizon 5 should give more 100 to 120 fps in the same cpu and gpu.
Why yours lower?
yeah, its not using much GPU at all, I will go and check but I may have left vsync enabled
@@MashITTech i think your CPU or ram bottleneck
@@MashITTech
don't use MSAA in Forza. Just use TAA only.
cpu running at 5.1ghz and ram at 3600mhz with tight timings so I think it is just the settings I used. Will go back and test again :) thanks for your help
@@MashITTech ok Sir
1st viewer from India.🥳
Ahhhh you beat me to the punch first :v xD
good to see you :)
this is mich higher than mid range in my opinion, but great build
Very tempting, I like the Fractal Design Terra, but that's $300, while I can get this for about $100. hmmmm
I also love the look of the Terra but have heard you get pretty bad turbulence because of the shape of the vents which put me off!
@@MashITTech Yeah I probably won't get it right now, I'm thinking to build a cheap SFF for work and I can't really justify the price, even though it looks cool.
laptop??
do you mean a laptop instead of a desktop?
@@MashITTech hi, no I was working on my dad jokes, after I listened to the first few minutes of the video it made me think how much of a laptop the statement sounded like🙂
🤣
Tried of these people brig about i5, I understand shit gets hot but I5 ain’t shit at least 13700k and be creative on ventilation
I think the i5 13600k/14600k is still a solid gaming CPU, I think a 13700k/14700k would be better for work and gaming but for this build I was trying to keep the price down. Just working on a higher budget ITX build and decided to use the 7800x3d for that one
