    I remember stumbling on this channel and while back and was taken away of the production and the high level of the presenter. Well this morning I did it again, stumbled into it on a subject I was researching, and was blown away of the presentation.. This channel needs to be picked up by the algorithm cause it might actually be the best one in it's niche.

    It looks like you made a really practical video for a small 4090 PC. I'm a Mac person, so as you point out, I'm used to tiny, very quiet and cool running, low power mini-desktop Macs. But, this looks like a fun build for me to add a PC to my options.

    I got this case. I was able to fit the xfx merc 7900 xtx at the bottoms. While it was a bit of a struggle, I have a 4k beast on ultra settings.. in a small case. I love it. I will have to do some modding on it to make it a bit cooler because I used a 1000w sfxL psu so it took some space from the top so I only have 1 fan on top.

    THis is gorgeous mate. I love what you've built there. I'm incredibly surprised by your thermals. I have an SFF build in a Meshlicious case and my RTX 3080 still pushes between 75-80C even when I've undervolted it. Any tips?

    • @spectertech
      @spectertech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Thermals were a bit of a challenge to tweak up at the start. The 13600K was hitting the low 90C range with prolonged Cinebench tests, without a proper BIOS adjustment. How's your ambient room temp? Also tweaking a custom fan config, or repositioning the fans with AIO as exhaust. The GPU placement might also be an area that can be adjusted.

    Did you encounter any thermal throttling?
    Thanks and nice video.

    • @UnboundClown
      @UnboundClown ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeh my 13600k would thermal throttle on cinebench immediately and was drawing 230w+.
      I have an MSI Z790, and I went into BIOS and changed the “Lite Load” to a lower mode and my temps and power draw dropped down immediately, without noticing any performance drop in gaming and such.
      So pretty much you need to undervolt it. With MSI it’s easy in the bios, but not sure with other brand mobo’s.

    • @spectertech
      @spectertech  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dealt with the same thermal issue at the start. The MSI motherboards have an easy fix by adjusting the CPU Config - Lite Load. The ASUS boards you have to manually undervolt & adjust the (CPU load-line calibration - Adaptive Boost, etc). A bit of some tweaking and you'll drastically reduce max temps + maintain performance.

    NR200P Max = 340€ at the moment ...
    If you go with a BeQuiet! Silent Loop 2 for 130€ and a Corsair SF-750 PSU for 160€ - you would have 50€ left for a case. So ... sad that it is outdated (no USB-C Frontpanel), but it is still a bang for the buck :) But if you spend another 50€ on it, you can get your own components AND a COLORED Version of the NR200 MasterBox :)

    Anyone ever find out what the customer power adapter was? Dying to build this with a windforce v2 but worried about the power adapter fitting now

    Hi ,
    My v850 sfx that comes with the Case has terrible, very loud buzzing
    when the systems draws about 200-350 Watts . Support told me thats normal behavior. Im kinda dissapointed with the psu so far .

    With negative pressure you’re going to collect lots of dust!

    Thanks for the full exhaust profile tip. It happens to be same for the meshroom D with air cooling. Were you are able to test noise at some point? was it too loud? I saw from Christopher Flannigan those slim fans were noisy as intake and temps turned out to be better without them (as intake), not sure exhaust? th-cam.com/video/3Wo-ceEIh6A/w-d-xo.html
    Also, you may be able to squeeze regular length fans based on reviews like this one: th-cam.com/video/8XubuoGa6TA/w-d-xo.html

    Anyone know if the 4070ti strix will fit in this case? About the same length as the msi gsming trio x 4090

    "i went with a more economic option" proceeds to build with a cpu that draws 230W under full load, yeah very economic there.

    Current nr200 max prices do not make sense imo.

      It's a hefty increase over retail. If you can snipe one at the original price , it's solid.

    I dont l;ike the ram choice or price. Im glad I stayed away from ddr5 this round. only being able to have 2 functional dimm slots and using slow timings for a crap load of money is not my ideal of fun. I will wait a gen or two when ram, cpu and motherboards get more efficient and play nice together and with windows 12 or whatever MS want to call it then. take care. Not as bad with intel, "supposedly"?

      Its not just a case though is it, I mean you get a 280 AIO + a 850W + a GPU Riser all included

      @@yoitsmefror you can buy the non max version and save $100 by buying them separately. Seems pointless to me.

      Definitely good value in Australia right now. I just picked one up for $520 ($358 USD). And for all parts separately, $149 Case, $239 PSU, $150 AIO and about $90 PCIE Riser. So I saved almost 100 dollarydoo’s.

      @@UnboundClown that's a good price then. It's just overpriced in North America.

    Ugly case. That top grille is a dust magnet, and even one drop of water gets near it, it's going to destroy the PC. They could have easily put a removable metal shroud over the top of the grille to make it safer and less visible, without even affecting airflow, because that grille alone is already limiting airflow. There's also clearly room to reduce the height of the case by at least 3-5 inches, which is important, because a tall tiny case is just asking to be knocked over accidentally. Node 304 is basically everything this case isn't.
