  • Why would God dedicate the entire 13th chapter of Leviticus to the disease leprosy? Is there any application for us from such a text? I believe there is application when we see how much sin looks like leprosy. Come along with me through a chapter of the Bible that you've probably never given much attention to.
The Whole Truth is dedicated to taking you through the entire Bible, from Genesis all the way through Revelation without skipping anything.
The book of Exodus shows us not only how the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, became God's chosen people but it also show us how we can live as God's people in 2021.

I like this, I bet there is even more symbolism in these verses too, if we dig even deeper. I liked this video, good job.

Is leprosy a type of sin in the Bible?
Because leprosy was so visible, it served as an excellent symbol of sinfulness. Sin corrupts someone spiritually the way leprosy corrupts someone physically.
Tzaraath (Hebrew צָרַעַת ṣāraʿaṯ), variously transcribed into English and frequently mistranslated as leprosy.
Ukrainian-Jewish born Yehuda L. Katzenelson, (1846-1917) devoted a portion of his work on talmudic medicine to the analysis of the parallels between vitiligo and biblical tzaraath, he concluded that the chazalic consensus was that they are synonymous.
Russian pathologist Gregory Minh discovered that leprosy is contagious; assuming that biblical tzaraat is non-contagious, he therefore concluded that tzaraath is in fact vitiligo. Similarly, Reuven Kalisher suggested that vitiligo is the most likely candidate for biblical tzaraath, as it is non-contagious, cause the hair located within the discolored area to turn white.
The Skin of Miriam Became as White as Snow.
Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite.
The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.
When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous -it became as white as snow.
Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.
Naaman’s leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants forever.” Then Gehazi went from Elisha’s presence and his skin was leprous-it had become as white as snow.

Paul used this law in his dealing with the man who sinned in 1 Corinthians 5:5 He told the church to kick the guy out of the church into the world to be destroyed by Satan to save the spirit. In 2 Corinthians he then told the church to forgive the man so that he will not be overcome by to much sorrow. Sorrow suggest he repented of hos actions as if the leprosy was healed and white as snow.

So if you continue to live in sin and aware of god his angry will opened up I’m only asking because I asked god to receive the fruits of the spirit as I was not bearing them and Iv had a bad injury which as changed my life before I was lukewarm having this injury has changed my spirit I think I also know some one that was living in sin and had knowledge of god and he ended up in coma and everyone said he’s a different person he was not the person you know I was shocked to find out what he was like before he’s the man that helped me find christ and Iv had many warnings over the years but this one has made me evaluate how I Live in truth and spirit
