- Leprosy in the Bible is not uncommon to find. In fact, leprosy in the Bible can be found in both the Old Testament like in the healing of Namaan by the prophet Elisha and in the Gospels.
In this video, Dr. Pitre discusses what it would have meant in an ancient Jewish mindset to have leprosy and what it would have meant for someone to have the power to cure it.
With this week's Mass readings, the Church puts before us two stories of leprosy in the Bible (one from the old testament and one from the new testament), and the question we need to ask ourselves is what does the power to cure someone from leprosy, just by speaking the word, tell us about what the gospel writers are indicating about the identity of Jesus.

There are 2 components to this problem 1) medical-biological. 2) spiritual
1) eczema is related to gut bacteria health. Fix that youll get better
2) prayer & fasting works wonders for the mind, body and soul. Intermittent fasting can reverse insulin resistant diabetes.) Imagine what it can do for your health. My niece who has eczema since birth also excludes specific types of food like dairy products/eggs/nuts - and uses non dairy equivalents. My own depression/anxiety/etc has significantly improved since i do prayer and fasting on a daily basis.

So the feeling of envy doesn't come from an enemy but from who is you in another body living out what whom envied you wishes upon you. In a video made by Messianic Jews of One for Israel they cite the 4 miracles that only the Messiah would do (I think from the Talmud): cure leprosy, raise a person who’s been dead 4 days, expel a demon without knowing its name, ie. deaf mute (because rabbis could only expel a demon if they knew it’s name), and heal a man born blind (because this involved the forgiveness of generational sin that only God could do). If you read the gospels around these miracles the reactions of the people and the Pharisees appear to fit the shock that Jesus could do these miracles. And notice the timing of the last one. Can you comment on this here or at some point in a future video? Thank you. I do appreciate learning all these amazing threads of how Judaism led to the Messiah and those threads continued into the Catholic Church!

_Slave girls or domestic servants were the norms of rich Asian households, even now, however not in the sense of a concupine._
Moreover, your comparison of Jesus to Elisah seems not to be the purported meaning of this passage. Jesus cannot be compared with any human being at all. Even if someone can perform greater miracles than Jesus, as it is acknowledged in Bible, Jesus tells his disciples that they can do greater deeds than him , John 14:12,, which doesn't bring anybody near, even to the level of comparison and as intented by God. , John the Evangelist says, he was unworthy to untie His footwear.
*Elijah and Elisha, among the two , it seems Elijah was fortunate to meet Jesus alongwith Moses at Mount Tabor, that gives him a special status in the Bible, irrespective of his capabilities to do miracles.*
