    This is a high performance channel, but after seeing engines run for weeks, sometimes months under load. It made me a Borg fan!

      We love Borg turbos as well. We just wanted to offer a good cost effective turbo that flows like the big Borg but fits under the hood easier.

    Nice! I picked up a Momentum Worx 11 blade s475 and I got a 1.15A/R t4 turbine housing on it and that's what I'll be using as my primary when I get my twin kit finished up.

    If you did this test as a single turbo that blade count difference would really show up. The 11 blade will be superior at any part load situation and the fewer blades will do better when it’s tounge is hanging out getting flogged. Try an hx60 though it will beat the borg a 100hp😊

    Great Video. Touched all the bases. Would like to see just how quick they would spool off idle up to max rpm but you kinda touched on it in the video. Still the Aggressor is the clear winner when the results are this close and the price gap is that big. Ill be ordering an Aggressor soon. Thanks for the vid and damn good job on the summary Mur.

  • @jamescharron8550

    I feel like this setup is limited by the secondary turbo. I don’t know what the atmospheric pressure is up in Utah but 40 psi interstage to only 60 psi at the manifold seems strangely low. You’re doing over 3.5 pressure ratio at the primary and only 1.4 at the secondary. Assuming a 75% compressor efficiency, the secondary is only providing a marginal density increase. I’d be interested to see the outlet temperatures of both compressors.

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It is limited by the small manifold charger as far as max power is concerned. But it is a great compromise for easy driving and quick spool.

    I knew the big side difference between the pdd and borg but it's awesome to see how much better it is for a 12 valve that's going to be used! Ie track, fun street, tow pig etc. Spent wayyy too much money on turbos over the years.. not anymore! Thinking pdd 80 over pdd 62 would pair better with the 5 spd and stage 2 head I have.

    Split vane T6 with the vane actuator vs non-split vane T6... total spool up time at a static 1700 or 2800rpm dyno pull. change in Back Pressure and EGT's?

  • @barttimothy1053
    @barttimothy1053 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The Dirty secret is lowering EGTs is only half the problem. Lowering engine temperatures is the other half. That needs to be addressed in your videos.

    What gauge are you running for AFR? I am trying to find one for my 2nd gen so I can see how much more nitrous she can take but I can't find a gauge that will work, about to just build a custom solution with an arduino.

    What's the A/R on that turbine housing? I have the 1.58 on a 476SXE, and it's pretty sluggish until 1800+ rpm, so I've bought a 1.32 to hopefully bring my setup to a more usable range. Just wondering

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The turbine housing we used was our new single scroll housing.
      A/R is technically 1.15 but with the divider gone it actually flows better than the 1.32.

    • @Matt-zx1xj
      @Matt-zx1xj 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @pddofficial Does it spool faster than a 1.32? I hear the big single scrolls are sluggish compared to divided. The response of a 1.15 with the flow of 1.32/1.58 would be a god send with my 6 speed. By time I've built any boost, it's already time to shift again.

    I’m not saying you are wrong or you are correct either. I am just questioning as to why you are the only people that are telling people to take drive pressure with a grain of salt. It may be that your concerns aren’t the same as others. I would also assume that drive pressure doesn’t matter when you are only concerned about peak power numbers. I am concerned about working truck power and how to make it live longer and pull better. You will find the limits and explode more motors and turbos which gives data that I will never get.

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We are not saying take drive pressure with a grain of salt. We are saying that the readings on the dyno may not perfectly represent what is actually happening. Boost to drive ratios are very important just tune for a trend rather than focusing on the individual boost and drive numbers at specific points.

    • @mattmorrison6958
      @mattmorrison6958 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It sounded to me like they were making the point that drive pressure psi is only measuring the average pressure, with much more going on in the background to see if things are actually moving in the right direction at the right time.
