I only hope one day soon, some if not most of Davids older albums get put on a compilation (CD) so we can get access to them.....as it stands, theyre kinda pricey some are outa site! Tis is a Beautiful rendition of a song Ive always loved, Burt Bacharach (I believe) This Guy's In Love With You! Great David! I remember this when it came out on am radio in the summer of '68....beautiful song! and David, touches every note, just wonderfully, he is, as Ive said elsewhere, a genius of Melody! Just Beautiful! I finally ordered and received this CD from Japan recently! Outstanding! Every song, just outstanding! Is that Tyrone Davis tune? Can I Change My Mind? Love that one....and the 2nd tune, My Baby Loves me? Martha Reeves? Tremendous selections for this LP David.......Your early stuff is awesome! Peace/Love always! PS I ordered more instruments, from LP Latin Percussion, and I'm so happy to play along here! New Bongos, Tambourine, Woodblock & Cowbell....YES!
"'You don't know what love is"' is a difficult tune to play (as i've found over the years) but you've done it proud PLUS i love the sitar "'open string"'drone effect you have given it. Very Gabor Szabo/Barney Kessel BUT BETTER than both! (sorry Gabor & Barn) Great choice in songs here. Love this to bits. Thank you.
