it darn near erases the need to buy a steez sv tw...it's that good. you could argue it's the best baitcaster on the market. the clicking drag is gold...wish more reels incorporated it.

Agreed, fantastic reel. Now, price difference does not come into play if one starts looking to Japan where the JDM models are. Difference in price between Metanium 2020 and Zillion SV TW is next to nothing. Same in Europe, costs almost the same. With the price difference out of the question the Metanium 2020 feels sooo much smoother, almost too smooth in a way. I have both, and fished both for a year. Zillion has the better casting system for sure, but the Metanium is well built and without any fancy casting brakes etc., it still performs close to Zillion. Winding them I give the edge to Metanium because it just feels so dang butter smooth, unbelievable. Styling, edge to Metanium as well with less plastic feel than Zillion. Put some proper JDM line on either one and you cannot stop casting 😁

I’ve seen it in action and it looks like it’s just effortless Fun all day long for whatever you want to throw on it. I thought Debo would use it Frogging but man that gets a Reel pretty gnarly and it’s way to nice for that.
Now we need to get you on a Daiwa Steez SV TW. One the lightest and powerful reels I have. The Metanium is great but there’s something special about those Zillions & Steez reels.
Best part is that they were only $300 when they were in pre-order. Metanium is still an awesome reel, but won't buy any more of them at US market price.

I just received a brand new Daiwa Zillion 21 SV TW G reel ( ZLNSVG100H ) but without the cast control cap or the stem. Where can I order an authentic replacement cap and stem for it or any that is compatible? I think the Daiwa part number is H28-1201 but I’m not 100% sure on that or what the stem it covers is. This Zillion 21 is a pretty well known reel so I figured you guys might have a good idea of what would work here. Thank you!
I bought my first diawa in December it will be my last. It broke fished with it 4 times. 200$ tatula. I’ll still with shimano or my $80 piscifun that’s been beat to shit and still works. I know it’s probably just a one off. But the shimano feels better anyway.
Love my Zillion SVs. I do not agree with the Zero Adjust though. I have 4 Zillons and they were NOT set the same from the factory. I usually set it up how I want it but I can tell you first hand that they are not consistent from the factory.
The zero adjuster is BS. The first thing everyone does is adjust it. Companies are getting more and more desperate to dream up new features, and this is the result.
The U.S. version is made in Thailand and the JDM is made in Japan but the U.S. version has Brass gearing vs. Aluminum on the JDM and the U.S. handle is a little bigger and beefier. I purchased the JDM because it was $150 bucks less and I love it.

Yeah, but there are a couple of differences between them so I just went with the one I bought.
Fantastic reel. Effortless retrieve cast farther than any of my lews or Shimano’s. The braking is the best. Set it and fish.
