But the problem for us "new" creators like me is that apparently this kind of videos are not monetizable through ads anymore - even though older channels do retain monetisation for very similar content. I've been arguing with TH-cam for three months now but they have repeatedly denied entrance to the TH-cam Partner Program to my channel - although I have all the necessary requirements. Apparently, the videos I make are not transformative enough to constitute their own value. Now, I make videos out of passion and love for MTG stories and narratological world, of course. However, I am at a point in my life where I'd really love to make this passion an actual job, also because I cannot afford to invest the amount of time and energy it'd require otherwise. And, honestly, I don't know what to do. I love the support and the love you guys show me in the comments - seriously, you're great - but I am afraid I'll have increasingly less time to dedicate to this passion without some sort of sustenance coming off of it - especially when it takes about 20 to 30 hours of my time to make one of my Walkers 101 videos. Patreon is a nice way to go around it, but it takes a much bigger community to actually have a few people supporting my content through it, which, at the moment, I do not have. I was thinking about recording a video in the next couple days to explain to you all this and assess our possibilities moving forward, but the problem is I haven't decided what to do yet.
@@OctopusLair Those are some insightful information about the reality for the channel. I can really tell the way how these videos show your passion. The narrations and subtle edits for the stories. Not to mention, the research required to make these videos. So coming from you with those statements, I can truly feel the melancholy as well. Whatever happens, whether you pursue something else or stay with the youtube grind, I can vouch for my support to you. Wish the youtube will make a change of heart for the partner program or algorithm do some kind of magic, we the fans can only hope. But, we will be with you all the way. (Sorry for any bad english. I have a theory on Ugin's original color combination before he became colorless. I think he was born with the Temur color combination centered in Blue. Here are my reasons for it: 1. He always had a desire to explore and learn (B,R) everything about the multiverse while preserving and protecting it (G) like when he didn't want the gate watch to eliminate the eldrazi because they might hold and important role in the multiverse (G). 2. Being the twin brother to Nicol Bolas and sharing an egg with him it would make sense that they shared more than one color, in their case Blue and Red. 3. If I remember correctly he's powers revolved around creating living things from mana like the dragons of Tarkir from the dragon storm. The Temur color combo has always been the color capable of creating things from nothing and manifesting things like dreams, spirits and illusions into reality and giving life and sentience to natural forces like elementals. 4. There's also the whole thing about Ugin being "the soul of Tarkir". Ugin, a pre mending plains walker AND an Elder Dragon would have the power to either create the plane or molded it in his image. If he is a wedge color dragon then that might explain why Tarkir is a wedge color centered plane. And remember, where was he in fate reforged fighting Bolas?, in or close to Temur territory. 5. Put his card shown in the video next to the Temur/rBg apex predator of Ikoria, Illuna. They clearly look as if they might be related or in other words born out of the same mana combination. And what are her powers? O yes creating life, in her case beasts, out of nothing. Those are my reasons. Please leave your feed back it helps give strength to my imagination. Or better yet put your ideas of what ancient EDs from Dominaria with a wedge color combo centered on the enemy color looked and acted like.
One of the details I love about Ugin is that he would often contemplate how everything between him and his brother happened. Even though he is possibly the most intelligent and wise being in the multiverse he still feels for his brother despite hating him for everything he's done. Their story together is one of shame, misdirection, and misunderstanding.
I totally feel you. Ugin is like the wise character that always has something to teach. I'd love to take the time to make an in-depth video about his twin Nicol Bolas in the future and then another one featuring both of them each with their own goals, motives and visions for the Multiverse. Hopefully that will come soon enough! :)
I wish either of those Ugin flipwakers were real. Of my, admittedly limited, knowledge of MTG lore, Ugin is definitely my favorite character, and the fact that there is no version of him that can be a commander is upsetting.

Ugin and Bolas remind me of Injustice Batman and Superman. One is cautious and controlled, while the other is destructive and emotionally driven.
I am not really familiar with any superhero, be them Marvel or DC, but I trust you on this!
