I think (and this is just me here) that the "soul of" set of Avatars are the general peoples perception or consciousness of the plane. Like why do the Ravnica and Theros ones have clothes and armor? Why do they look like people? Because the general populace associates the idea of there plane with the strongest or most powerful thing/people/creature. So Theros has a heroic warrior's armor and wields a spear + shield combo akin to the soldiers on the plane with the Spear being a common symbol of Helio and the shield being a natural pair with it, the Zendikar one is a great elemental beast obviously connecting the immense wilderness and the unstoppable elemental roil together whilst covering it in Hedrons, the Ravnica one kinda gives Azorius combined with Jace vibes like the personification of the very idea of the power the Guildpact grants, Shandalar looks like a powerful Warrior/Mage that controls lightning and storms and many Red colored mages (who are sometimes known to wield lightning) go to Shandalar for training, Innistrad is a giant living graveyard + undead zombie which is the literal old horror monster plane full of spirits and graves and zombies, and New Phyrexia is a giant monster made of metal that kinda looks like Elesh Norn, who is the ruler of the plane and of course its all metal because you can't be compleated with out that.
Worldsouls is proof in my eyes that all Planeswalkers are Druids
I always enjoy a good Magic history lesson since I don't always keep up with the story. Thanks for the video 👍

I'm sure Valgavoth probably consumed the original World Soul, just like he consumed everything else
If Duskmourn had a world soul before, Valgavoth likely consumed or shattered it in his overtaking of the plane.
I guess Kamigawa's world soul is O-Kagachi?
Would be Kyodai, now, no?
Her card refers to her as "Soul of Kamigawa" and her papa died a while back in the lore.
Both of them to be precise, O-Kagachi in the past and Kyodai in the present
I kinda want a Progenitus commander deck if I ever make one in all 5 it’ll probably be him
Gonna just forget Yawgmoth and the og Phyrexia?
Yawgmoth was not a worldsoul, it was an artificial plane he was functionally the god of
It bothers me distinctly that the world soul of Zendikar is not Omnath; it feels like a retcon, and a shoddy and unnecessary one at that.
