    Also - vote “SLACK” or “AGENDA” based on what content you’d like to see next!

    Thanks for these videos. Small request: I watch most of these videos on my phone. If you could zoom in on whatever you are showing us, that would be very useful. Perhaps take a look at your analytics. If you have a high proportion of your views on mobile phones, then this zooming idea is a good one. If not, then not to worry. Just a though. Great videos though. Thanks.

      Hey, thanks for the feedback Greg! We do have mostly desktop viewers, but I certainly would love to make the viewing experience easier for all viewers, regardless. I've had some trouble shooting ClickUp zoomed-in, just because the formatting gets off...but I'll see if we can do more zoom-in highlights throughout!

    Great video! One thing that made me finally decide to stick with tasks over Dashboards + Docs was when it came to action items that needed to be assigned or notes I wanted to reference as a result of the meetings.
    Because the meeting agenda is a task, I can add it to my task tray and refer to it quickly when assigning action items, sharing notes in task descriptions & comments , etc.
    When I used doc/dashboard this wasn’t as easy to do because I couldn’t minimize the view, I had to completely leave where I was in CU to go back to the doc/dashboard to view any notes/action items taken from the meeting.

    we use a combination of 1, 2 and 3. create a task for each meeting. attach a document within a task if it is a private meeting. so only attendees can see the doc. we do this for things like performance reviews.On the other hand, we mention a doc page of the agenda for team/group/non-private meetings. We also have a dashboard for meetings where we see the calendar. it also has button that allow us to book a meeting (clickup form) and quick access to the agenda doc.

    Agenda - my specific question is if we used the tag's and have multiple client meetings and we wanted to not pull all the company wide "to discuss" but wanted to pull just for that client. (Using CU to run our digital agency and we're outside client/stakeholder meeting heavy)

    • @abipaine5067
      @abipaine5067 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try added another Tag for that client, and then when you add the filter, you add two filters - all tags 'to discuss' and all tags 'client name'. That should work, then you will only get stuff showing up for that particular client.

    • @LaylaPomper

Clickup would be awesome if you can create that so you can have a special place to refer. If you can not remember the name in search is there a way to see all archived tasks only in a table or something. Ah to many questions - let me know if I can set up a time. Thank you.

    I found out that tags only work on the space level. They don't work on the everything level. A label can be created at the everything level. I contacted Clickup to find out how to create this at the everything level and they said tags cannot. How did you create this at the everything level? I know you like dark view but it is difficult to see what you are doing in dark view. I am trying to figure out if this is a task folder, task widget inside of a dashboard, or an agenda with tasks inside the document? It is not clear on how you set up this task list. I have watched this video twice because I am working on my team meetings and am coming up with a meeting agenda with tasks that will also allow me to have a repeat agenda and have structure to it. I found the first time I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about. Then I created my set up in clickup. Now I sort of understand what you are talking about but this video (and I do like your videos) seems very all over the place and doesn't really have cohesion. Now I understand all the parts but this video was not helpful in actually setting up a meeting agenda with all of these components or some of them. I am setting up a meeting Dashboard. It would have been more helpful to talk about how to set up meetings in a dashboard with the widgets because this to me seems like the most comprehensive way to set up meetings. Again, I love your videos but this one was very scattered and difficult to follow even after watching it twice.

    I think tasks are the best method by far for meetings. Tasks serve as a record of the meeting, the meeting notes and agenda should be typed into the meeting task or subtask, after the meeting the notes are only a record moving forward and the notes should be turned into to-do's, this means that there is almost no such thing as a note, a note will most always turn into a to-do. Meetings I think in most peoples cases should be to-dos because they should always show as a record, doing this in the dashboard doesn't allow for that if one is not making there tasks or sub tasks as meetings.

    • @LaylaPomper
      @LaylaPomper  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tasks work well for a lot of different companies organizing meetings! The Dashboard method you're mentioning does not incorporate a Task for each meeting (though it could). The Dashboard is simply the agenda.

    I like your videos and really appreciate the great tips - but I have a suggestion as an audio/podcast producer - to not include the faint background music - it sounds accidental because it is so far in the background and it is distracting... I think you are doing way more work than necessarry by tagging and making notes in seperate tasks and sub tasks. Things could and most likely in most peoples cases I've found so far be much more local. I find your use of tags in this video and making notes in multiple different tasks and sub tasks is doing a lot more work than needed. I recently was doing this. My new workflow makes it so I don't have to do any of that. Too much for me to explain over text but perhaps look into how you could get rid of those methods. Since I've done so, I've been a lot more efficient.

      @@LaylaPomper For sure! That's a good point and I do agree that it's different for everyone, however I still think main principles apply for most everyone. I will think of tags though now from your comment and see if I can make tagging make more sense for some of my stuff. I currently tag only templates, I would never tag a dynamic task area, something that isn't a template, only templates for me get tags. Before I would tag things that were not a template and found a much faster way of doing things so that I don't have to constantly tag, etc to anything, saved me a lot of time. Thanks for your response. Cheers.

      @@arayahomes4308 Not sure if you are using Click up as a team, but seems the tags are really useful for teams and complex info coming in at different times.
