@@hanginghighhammocks The button knot is just killing me. I watched your other video. I'll keep working on it. I'm glad I bought the handled splicing needle from you though, it makes the work so much easier!
@@someidiot3411 Do you have any larger rope that you can practice with? You can also try and make the zing-it longer so you have more rope to work with tying the knot. I'm glad you like the splicing needle. I used to use it without the handle and it was much harder. The handle is a game changer for sure!
Nice fish tool! I use these little shackles as key hangers off my belt or hammock. They work great on tarps even with dyneema or tree straps.

Thanks for this tutorial! I made two to try on my tarp w/ridgeline. If they dont slip out I can ditch the toggles.

I did a test setup in my backyard. They worked like a charm. Definitely staying on my ridgeline. I made a few more, and also some regular soft shackles. Now I can do the button knot almost without thinking.

My ridgeline is 7 64s amsteel,whuts the best prusik line set up size?
Really, anything smaller than the 7/64th will allow the prusik to bite into the ridgeline and prevent it from sliding
