I used it in a clinic setting with talk therapy for brain damage, major depressive disorder and PTSD. It worked extremely well for about six months after a few treatments. The ptsd symptoms have come back but, they’re mostly manageable right now. That’s my experience with it for anyone curious about it. Cheers from Canada.

Thanks for sharing that, was it one single treatment that had those lasting effects?

@@LevelheadedMind I had six treatments. With each treatment I had an hour of talk therapy which consisted of going over my trauma with a hand and eye tracking technique that I had to focus my eyes on. I would think about the memory and I would change it to something funny or wonderful instead because, that’s where the ketamine comes into play. After the talk therapy I would go into a comfortable room where I would lay down on a recliner with a music playlist that the nurse would hook me up to, then the lights get turned off, I put my blind fold on and take my dose. The dose I started at was 100mgs increments till the last appointment when I had to use 650mgs. While under I would think about the memory that was hurting me then I would replace it in my minds eye with the new memory of my choosing. The last treatment I had was what the therapist calls an ego death. I sure thought I was dead to be honest. It was an amazing experience. I believe in an afterlife now, I don’t fear death, and want to enjoy life again. My family has noticed the benefits which is the best possible outcome I could have had. The visuals though, wow, I could explain that for hour’s to be honest lol.

    CAUTION not for everyone!!
Got first infusion July 8,’24 at a good clinic in Cocoa beach, Fl..
I stopped it during the ‘ session’ - turns out I only got half of what is usually given . Thank goodness !
Vomited and could barely walk due to dizziness ..
    Results?
    It’s been 5 days and
The pupils of my eyes are chronically pin sized ..
slightly blurry vision.. tightness (spasm) in upper back and neck , pressure migraine, feeling warm, nausea and VERTIGO.. & forgetfulness
-everything is a chore to do ..
I can’t work without extra efforts .. breathing is laborious due to my dizziness .. I was a healthy woman when I went into the clinic and now I am a shadow of the person I was ..
I hope that I will get back to being normal soon .. ugh

I just signed up for Joyous so we'll see..... Unfortuantely I was put on Benzos 2 decades ago (Please-anyone- don't start- ever- ruined my life in so many ways and it can actually caise depression) but that didn't seem to be an issue with Joyous. They also said I would ('you will') receive the ketamine troches (small squares that you split and melt between you gums and inner lip/cheek). in 2-3 days. This is not true. That doesn't include shipping and now their pharmacy is backlogged so I have to wait even longer. I wish they had been more transparent and truthful. So, I'm a little less enthusiastic right now.

I think there is a single ketamine clinic that just opened up recently in my area, but other than that, I don't know if providers are on board with it.

Im starting it but have a lot of conflicting thoughts and feelings, given its addictive potential and my own worry about both being addicted and enjoying the high. Im under the care of a physician and am only taking the prescribed amount and maybe it will be worth it uf it helps depression, but still, i am skeptical it will work and worried about the long term.

This combination is very high risk for experiencing serotonin syndrome. Why so many SSRIs? This is not cobsidered safe practice by my standards. But you shouldn't abruptly stop any of your medications either as that can lead to consequences such as withdrawal. You need to discuss these concerns with your doctor.

@@LevelheadedMind For my above mentioned symptoms, can you suggest which antidepressants would mostly suit me as Prozac and Cmybalta are not working...Any suggestions so that I can talk to my doctor regarding the same..my basic and major problem is my body is weak, my muscles feel fatigue and weak and I dont feel any strength...Also Benzos help me a bit but they can't be taken long term..is there any alternative medicine for benzos so that I can talk to my doctor..I have watched most of your videos and they are very informative so if you could guide me in any way it could help a lot..Thanks

PLEASE get off the Benzos asap. They can make depression much worse and the longer you take them, the worse it gets. And it takes YEARS to slowly taper off. Watch any video by the Benzp Coalition. Benzos are NOT antidpressants. There are safer A.D.'s like Lexapro for anxiety. If you're not getting any improvements, why hasn't your doc either changed your neds or increased the dose? I'd maybe get a second opinion.

Ma'am, I am from Pakistan. I am a poor 17-year-old boy in 12th grade. I have been suffering from depression since 2015. TH-cam recommended your channel to me, and I saw some videos on depression. I started taking Zoloft 50mg for a month and felt much better. Now, I am using four different SSRIs: Sertraline 100mg, Escitalopram 10mg, Olanzapine 3mg, and Fluoxetine 20mg daily. Is it safe to take four SSRIs at once? I apologize for my poor English. I have downloaded all your videos on depression topics. Please, ma'am, answer my question as I cannot afford doctor fees. I feel very well after watching while taking Zoloft 50mg

    Crucial information mam❤
    Mam i have one query
Does desvenlafaxine treat OCD and Neuropathic pain. If yes then at what doses?
    Kindly reply mam..

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, it can, but will need high doses to really target the neuropathic pain, so 100mg max. The TCAs would be a better option, such as clomipramine in doses 200 to 250mg. Have you tried these before or discussed this with your provider? Would be worth a try as long as you ruled out root causes of your symptoms. Also consider with either medication you would have to taper off slowly to minimize withdrawal effects.

Mam currently I didn't talk with my provider about desvenlafaxine and clomipramine.
I saw your video of desvenlafaxine on TH-cam. So I am planning to take desvenlafaxine by consulting with my provider
I tried all SSRI's some SSRI's are intolerable and some are ineffective.
So I am planning to take desvenlafaxine.
      Is desvenlafaxine good for OCD?
How much dose should I take of desvenlafaxine for OCD?
