Just remember peeps, more and more AA guns will be destroyed as the battle wears on. So don't throw your aircraft away early. Spotting is just as important and much safer in the beginning of a battle
Also as a side note, Destoryers are prime suspects of your planes. All early game moves should be spent locating and spotting a destroyer for teammates to shoot. Keeping 1 last strike above the least AA armed ship class can net you some easy spotting dmg.
This is not my typings and this is a disclaimers of course. But.. they add an game mode in the standard. I did ask the word of warship: legend team for question and this is what they said(that’s reason why you didn’t see any CV. One more THIS IS NOT MY TYPING, THIS IS FROM THE GAME TEAM). Standard matchmaking still tries to get 9v9 matches. However, it also tries to force a fair match to occur as soon as a minimum time threshold has been met which can lead to smaller than optimal matches. Because carriers are limited to 1 per team, and were highly anticipated by the community, there's an overabundance of carriers in the queue right now, which is preventing full 9v9 matches from happening. It takes 8 people to queue as 'not a carrier' for every carrier that queues. This will pass in time, once the player base stabilizes.
You should do these instructional videos for every type of ship and mention how to get the most XP. It will make the game much more playable since hopefully our teammates won’t be potatoes

I got into a match where it's only 2 ships per team (one is a carrier and the other depends). Admittedly it was pretty fun for my first match with a CV
Yeah that seems to happen with the tier 3 carriers right now, not sure why The tier 5 one seems to fix it though with full lobbies and quick matchmaking again
Honestly it takes 4 min to find a match and it's always a 3 v 3 or 4v4 if im lucky. They need to fix this. Also buff the aircract as they do little damage.
Dropping bombs takes a lot of getting used to as the game, itself, gives you nothing in the way of tatorial. Additionally, bombs often have terrible rng spread esp if you realised them early in your dive. If you thought dispersion on battleships could be frustrating just wait until you try to hit anything with drive bombers, esp cruisers and destoyers. Carriers can be heroes or zeroes in a match. A good CV captain is often one of the unsung heroes who doesn't always get much glory or reflect well in scoring but can be hugely supportive. In that regard, I feel like CV's are much closer to being balanced in Legends. They're pretty easy to use as spotters but there is a decent skill cap, and rng luck, in actully doing damage with them.

Now 24 t6 =26 premium days. That makes premium time worth way more than 20 promotional orders, which can be earned every week

I likely won’t be playing any Tier 7 ships because of how broken matchmaking and the dispersion of the Iowa is. They need to buff the Iowa now that they buffed the shit out of the Bismarck and Vanguard

People really seem to need to learn how to play again during this event, but im happy to see carriers being in the full game yet not being overimportant as its not 2 cv enemies per game
They should put carriers in their own category, so players can choose to play in games that have them or not. Have not meet a single player that likes the carriers apart obviously from the players that uses them. That’s probably why they don’t have separate categories cause then players that uses them will never find a game.
It doesn't tell you how to fly multiple plane groups at once... Often I get swarmed by 2 or 3 groups of planes.. But when I use planes I can only fly one group at a time or return to ship?
Can everyone complaining about them stfu till you’ve actually had a few hours playing with them an against then. So far they feel pretty weak damage wise however their main strength is the spotting capabilities. All WG would need to do is just buff destroyers concealment from the air maybe within the upgrade slots. That’s only if they’re too oppressive against DDs which we have yet to see. Stop complaining and play the game and if something is drastically wrong the devs will listen. They’ve put a lot of work into giving us aircraft carriers, just be appreciative please.
AA is too effective. How many torpedo runs does a squadron have? Secondary CV guns don’t really work. A lot of work to play, with few hits to show for it, not as fun as I hoped...
And so is the cheap bullshit tactics you can use with torpedoes so that they cant be avoided i couldn't care less about the aircraft carriers getting mulched by AA

Do the Weekly Havoc missions run until the end of the campaign? So do you unlock one set per week but can continue them until the end of the entire campaign (May 17)? Or do you only have one week for to do them?
Is it not possible to commit all planes in a squadron to dive bomb or torpedo simultaneously? I'll go in for an attack and when I come out my other 4 planes just casually fly over the ship getting torched lol
I Absolutely LOVE carriers they are perfectly designed and are really fun to play I already have the United States Carrier commander and have played multiple games with over 50k damage and 3 or more kills.

So I was struggling with dive bombers, it looks like I’m supposed to face ships head on, and start diving when the reticule is about half a centimeter from the target. Then drop when the cross is a half a centimeter from the tip of the bow. Ok. And I have to practice until I get some intuition. Ok.
What can’t the squadrons and attack groups get larger with the tier? I looked today and saw that all CVs tiers 3, 5, and 7 have 6 planes per squadron, and when going in to attack only 2 planes attack
@@autumnobservatory how so? I think that having planes that can strongly deal with a ship class is a good idea. Also, it means you can have less downtime waiting for a full squadron of torpedo or dive bombers after those squadrons have attacked
Germany didn't have a carrier in WWII. The zeppelin sat on the Baltic until their defeat, when the Germans scuttled it, then it was dug up by the Russians, and used for target practice. Devil's advocate: the still have the Maus in WoT and that never happened outside of a prototype
How can you use the 6 planes at the same time? I got in a game and the enemy carrier attacked me with 6 torpedo bombers at the same time not just 2 plane at a time but all 6 at once:/
They still need a big buff to damage output. Most hits are barely even noticeable. Accuracy of HE bombs is very screwy, as it often drops outside of the reticle. HE bombs also need a lot more penetration as currently I hit a lot of shots that don’t set fire or even do damage upon hitting. Had one game so far where I hit 9 bombs, set 2 fires, but otherwise no damage from HE bombs.
world of warships is like star wars or star trek, fun and cool but not very realistic, war thunder is like the expanse, realistic but takes some effort to learn
We should be able to control secondary armements and aa guns like in war thunder. Sometimes they give away your position. Personally i prefer war thunder but wows is a wayyyy better game
The devs on Legends stated they didn't want over complicated or clunky controls and since there's limited buttons on a controller, adding another option to control secondaries would clutter the control scheme.

Do you think that it will be easier now that rather than just being spotted by destroyers, which you can counter if you have any tactical awareness and / or skill, you will remain perma-spotted the whole game making you even easier targets for DD'S and HE spamming cruisers hiding behind mountains or battleships lobbing AP at you from the back of the map and you can't get near them because you're not sure where the DD's are because your carrier has gone Captain Ahab about a BB he just has to sink? Do you think that bunching together to pool AA is a good idea? There by making 50% + of your team an easier target for sniping BB's , hidden cruisers and lurking DD's that will just launch a wide spread and probably hit 2 to 3 maybe more ships with one torpedo salvo? You have no clue what you are talking about, just another player who doesn't know how to counter different ship types so you'd rather have a class that requires no skill and can do damage from the back of the map without being spotted.

Had everything bad to say about every other class and somehow blame your horrible experience on CVs alone despite ignoring the fact that if you ever had a competent CV on your own team, you'd have consistent recon and if they're really good, cover from your flanks. Solo acts cannot be performed by any class other than destroyers and destroyers shouldn't feel confident enough that they go without at least a cruiser for anti-air support unless their team can make enough noise that searching for that 1 destroyer can wait because the team is already engaged and taking losses. You forget that CVs in all their glory have a glaring disadvantage once they're spotted and those, as you called them "sniping BBs" and "HE Spamming Cruisers" become our problem too, except we can't even fight back if they position themselves far apart or right next to eachother because CVs only have Secondaries and planes still get shot down. You couldn't understand what levels of fear and regret a CV gets when they're spotted and that one destroyer that "could wait" suddenly dumps a salvo into your port side and you're gone in seconds. You're the exact same as the people who want artillery vehicles removed from world of tanks, you'll never understand because the narrative you've managed to stick to gives you an easy scapegoat to all of your burning problems with a game besides from your "noob/bot fucking team, thanks matchmaking". How do you control more than 1 squadron at same time? I see enemy CV having 2-3 squadrons up in air at same time?

So I was struggling with dive bombers, it looks like I’m supposed to face ships head on, and start diving when the reticule is about half a centimeter from the target. Then drop when the cross is a half a centimeter from the tip of the bow. Ok. And I have to practice until I get some intuition. Ok.
What can’t the squadrons and attack groups get larger with the tier? I looked today and saw that all CVs tiers 3, 5, and 7 have 6 planes per squadron, and when going in to attack only 2 planes attack
Also, will we get rocket-equipped fighters as well? Try to make every ship type have a type of plane that can go up against it
As of now there's no plans to add rocket planes. At tier 7, carriers upgrade to 3 planes per attack run instead of two

Germany didn't have a carrier in WWII. The zeppelin sat on the Baltic until their defeat, when the Germans scuttled it, then it was dug up by the Russians, and used for target practice.

They still need a big buff to damage output. Most hits are barely even noticeable. Accuracy of HE bombs is very screwy, as it often drops outside of the reticle. HE bombs also need a lot more penetration as currently I hit a lot of shots that don’t set fire or even do damage upon hitting. Had one game so far where I hit 9 bombs, set 2 fires, but otherwise no damage from HE bombs.

We should be able to control secondary armements and aa guns like in war thunder. Sometimes they give away your position. Personally i prefer war thunder but wows is a wayyyy better game
The devs on Legends stated they didn't want over complicated or clunky controls and since there's limited buttons on a controller, adding another option to control secondaries would clutter the control scheme.

Im glad i was only forced into playing with carriers in 3 matches today. Ive spent a lot of time on this game. Im at 60% win rate. With well over 4000 matches. So i am decent. Not great by far. Not a potato.. i mash em! Lol . But i dont spend much muny .. under 20 or 30 bucks. So they probably arent going to miss me if i start playin somethin different... ppl wanted Carriers. Well u got em. There is no plan to add tier 4 or 6 carriers. Premiums will most likely appear in the future
It's simple, really. you send your planes up. you line up for an attack run. Then you repeat, because your entire squadron got shot down in under 10 seconds
Hm, this pains me to hear this from one who has Yang as his photo. There is strstegy, as in being advanced scouts, forcing the enemy to run or turn for broadsides from your bigger ships. Endless possibilities if you put your mind to it.

@@uh57tissues They revelotionused it by causing the death of big gun battleships. If that's a positive for this game then this game is screwed. I suppose it's a positive that all battleships are now moribund? That all destroyers will now spend matches skirting the edges and back of map or do nothing else other than run off looking for carriers? Do you think that it will be easier now that rather than just being spotted by destroyers, which you can counter if you have any tactical awareness and / or skill, you will remain perma-spotted the whole game making you even easier targets for DD'S and HE spamming cruisers hiding behind mountains or battleships lobbing AP at you from the back of the map and you can't get near them because you're not sure where the DD's are because your carrier has gone Captain Ahab about a BB he just has to sink? Do you think that bunching together to pool AA is a good idea? There by making 50% + of your team an easier target for sniping BB's , hidden cruisers and lurking DD's that will just launch a wide spread and probably hit 2 to 3 maybe more ships with one torpedo salvo? You have no clue what you are talking about, just another player who doesn't know how to counter different ship types so you'd rather have a class that requires no skill and can do damage from the back of the map without being spotted.
@@WEEPFORBALDUR sounds like you don't even like the game. Had everything bad to say about every other class and somehow blame your horrible experience on CVs alone despite ignoring the fact that if you ever had a competent CV on your own team, you'd have consistent recon and if they're really good, cover from your flanks.
Solo acts cannot be performed by any class other than destroyers and destroyers shouldn't feel confident enough that they go without at least a cruiser for anti-air support unless their team can make enough noise that searching for that 1 destroyer can wait because the team is already engaged and taking losses.
You forget that CVs in all their glory have a glaring disadvantage once they're spotted and those, as you called them "sniping BBs" and "HE Spamming Cruisers" become our problem too, except we can't even fight back if they position themselves far apart or right next to eachother because CVs only have Secondaries and planes still get shot down.
You couldn't understand what levels of fear and regret a CV gets when they're spotted and that one destroyer that "could wait" suddenly dumps a salvo into your port side and you're gone in seconds.
You're the exact same as the people who want artillery vehicles removed from world of tanks, you'll never understand because the narrative you've managed to stick to gives you an easy scapegoat to all of your burning problems with a game besides from your "noob/bot fucking team, thanks matchmaking".
Fuck off or learn to play the fucking game because CVs clearly aren't your only problem as you pulled every cheap excuse someone who can't accept that they fucked up on their own could ever pull out of their ass.
