This is also a lesson for new players for battleship troll dispersion. Even when you do everything right and your opponent everything wrong, there is still a significant chance your shells will go everywhere but the target and even if they DO land RNG can still say "nope, all over pens". Just the way the game is nowadays.
ur tutorials make a difference, i definitely improved and started landing cits and dev strikes consistantly; but this game updates things and then half my shots miss with peerfect dispersion and grouping. ive learned to stagger shots at turning ships and my s hells land thru there superstructure and hit there rear cit for a dev strike. Keep it up peek.
While I totally appreciate your advice and it's actually very helpful. I've often found games like W.O.W have a algorithm in them that puts you in a certain group of players for the day. One day I'm getting on a ton of winning teams and I'm accurate the next day without changing my aiming style or ship parameters I can't hit anything with the same accuracy as the day before and I can't get on a winning team to save my life 😂.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but probably the most important thing in battleships is to SPREAD OUT The more battleships your team has spread out the more angles they have on the enemy
@@chardaskie it's not always as bad as it looks. BBs with good range can still support the flank if they move to the middle. But really it's about setting up crossfires and that won't happen if all the BBs are in the middle. Keep grinding, do your best and try not to let the potatoes get you down.
Good Luck improving the player-base. Had a game where all enemies killed at the 9:30 minute mark. Something to consider delving into once the basic ship-types are done is doing commander/perk combinations for general ships - and of course meme builds.
Well, for the 1st two weeks of WOWSLs play, I used only the cruiser class. I watched this video and that changed. I picked up the Wyoming...applied what I learned from this video and fell more in LOVE with this game.
Secondaries are great if you can get on their non gun side. Like juke them into having their guns pointed the wrong way. Then they can get pens into their guns.
Anybody else love when playing as a destroyer class cutting to the extreme right or left depending on starting map location and just creeping on cruisers and low tier battleships? Gives me a serious dopamine rush when I can cut over on their exposed side where their main turrents aren’t pointing and shooting out a wide torpedo spread then activating engine boost and getting the fuck outta there
4:52 only threat? Are you forgetting about the extremely stealthy destroyers that are impossible to spot, they could be anywhere on that side of the map and nobody would see them. Your response to this will decide whether you earn another sub or not.
Been playing since July of this year, and although I watched the older tutorials when I first started playing, these new ones have refreshed my memory a bit. Really wish some of my teammates would watch them too especially in the lower tier gameplay when I'm grinding out tech trees.
Sound advice. Longtime Legends player here. No claims to brilliance, just hold my own. Easy to be wise after the event, I know. But in that last endgame, I probably would have tried to ram that DD. Any damage taken would be inconsequential compared to what his torps could do otherwise. A lot of players tend to sneer at ramming as a tactic, and I don't often use it myself but, in a BB versus DD knifefight, it can be the BB's best move.
Shit if it's a close match, And I can't get off a shot because of reload, and I'm already low HP and on fire. I'll be damned if I don't take the nearest OP out with me with a ram. A kill is a kill.
Another tip for learning to play battleships: you almost never want to go bow on to a group of ships even if they can’t overmatch your nose. You always want to have a good escape route and putting yourself in that position doesn’t offer one, and you’re more prone to being torpedoed or HE spammed by the other team.
For BBs you might want to Keep a distance and salvo em from afar. Remember BBs have the longest range than other classes use that to advantage. Keep other BBs on your Gun range limit and always have An escape route. Unless you are a German bb with a Very good secondary
I have played the pc game since Alpha. Played legends since release. The Yamato does not have lots of armour at all in practice. It is the most heavily punished ship for poor positioning. For NOOB friendly language the Yamato is the easiest to citadel BB in the game and you will be heavily punished to the point it feels like you have no armour.
Love this game immensely because of being prior navy and loving naval warships history but I am pretty pissed that I grind my ass off trying to get the USS Alabama for 4 years and still not even close to getting it. It also pisses me off that I can’t just purchase it in the store. Same with KMS Bismarck
I'm old and to old (computers) school for consoles & controllers and the wows game legends. I'm a clunking around wows player (for PC) and I'm not very good at it. No one can disagree that wows really requires skilled/learned players who know how to play the game well. That requires a fair amount of time and devotion to the game. How many will dive that deep and stay that long? Anyway, hope to learn some things in here and thanks for your time and hard work.
I usually like to play the ranger. Haircut carrier, First thing I do is I loiter over the enemy area. To give everybody a good idea where buddy says., The first time I play in usually takes minute midnight for me to be chosen. But after that, it's only like, 2 seconds, LOL. I'm only been playing the game for like two weeks
The matches you post don't have sky cancer present. I always get planes spotting me from space, and the HE cruisers just shoot n scoot, so i can't hit back
I know this is probably old news but is there anyway you can do a how to on the North Carolina or do you have a video that you've done already. I tried scrolling and searching your videos. I just recently acquired the N. Carolina and I've been having difficulty staying alive. I've watched some of your videos and I've improved my matches and would love a more detailed video on that ship. Thank you and I appreciate what your doing. It has definitely helped me.
Probably a bit late to the party for this, but. Theoretically, it should be easier to survive at that point in the tech tree, spec wise I've got nothing against the Wyoming it is slow and bulky to use just like most of the early old school battle ships but it's got good health for its class, but I quickly moved on when I realised how little that matters in a game where the simple game stats make the world of difference and that 16% torp damage reduction dosen't save you from much. For the most part, playing similarly to the way he shows was my biggest saviour to staying with battle ships. Avoid getting surrounded, minimise opening your broadside to your enemy, keep yourself placed where you can fire from one side and not wait for your guns to come around and play to your range remembering you've got the longest gun reach. And like he says, don't sacrifice yourself doing it, but there's been more than one occasion for me where I've taken a punch, saving a destroyer or cruiser and they've been able to have my back keeping enemy destroyers away from my broadside. Sorry for the long message 😅
Not bad information, but you could condense this video to 10% of the length and I think more new players would be able to process the information - plus many people just wont sit through a video this long and rambling
I just got AL Nelson last month and all i can say is that commander makes all british BB's unaccurate. Even in a Nelson i rarely hit more then 3 out of 9 guns.
I don't think I need these tips being a 4 year player and all, but I'm glad they are out for the new players. Hopefully my next blue team is better thanks to you. Good day to you peek. (P.s. could do without the music. Is distracting)
You had one issue with using that back turret of the Yamato playing against a GK at close range. You have a cheek armor that leads straight into a citadel, he coulda punched through that cus minimum size those GK guns are still 16" guns at the end of the day. If he aimed at your cheek right in front of your first turret then you probably would've lost a lot of hp or even worse, died there cus you gave the angle to use your third turret, regardless of how weakened the GK was when he came around.
Well then I guess I'm just horribly unlucky all the time. I've seen a 15" round citadel me at that very same angle both in legends as well as in PC, a GK would have it easier since the caliber is higher.
Im really close to giving up on BB's. I hope and pray for a 5k hit and then pray again that i only get hit for 20k from each opponent salvo. Idk what im doing wrong lately but its frustrating as f.

Yeah, irl the Iowas were probably the best/most advanced overall battleships ever built, not the most powerful, but best overall. In the game (and irl) Yamato probably has the most raw power but there are arguably better battleships.
