I think the hype’s just died down a bit and it’s presence os a bit diluted because they dropped like 7 more of these hypercar reskins, none of which have more hp coming from the motor(excepr the one that isnMt road legal) than the aventador ultimae and none of which are known to perform better on track than the svj or offer a more exciting driving experience.
I don’t care if the aventador for was repeated. It got me into cars, and it’s my favorite car ever. I love centenario so much, I love the name, the looks, the rear.

Lamborghini owner here... The Veneno & Centenario are both great looking cars. Have had the pleasure of riding in both in the UAE. But you can say the same with the SVJ, just being a standard adventador with a body kit. To me, the best looking bull is the Reventon & Diablo SE30 6.0... and dont sleep on the Sesto Elemento. Extremely raw, striped down race car essentially... On the V10 platform, the gallardo squadra coursa is a dream, the Huracan Perfomante is amazing & STO is a crazy car to drive on track... Really looking fwd to the Temerario & seeing more Revuelto's on the road
I’ll never forget the sesto elemento. That’s actually my favorite lambo. I’ve driven multiple huracans and I was never really a fan but I’ve always been curious about gallardos, especially the early 5.0 cars.
To be very fair. The engineering behind the Aventador chassis was highly expensive and a MASSIVE leap forward compared to the outgoing Murcielago chassis design which was pretty much a carry over from the previous Countach and Diablo chassis. It's a good cost savings measure considering the Aventador was underpriced when it came on the market.
One thing I hate with the Centenario is that They should have given it at least 800 hp because after it release, they came out with svj and gave it the same amount of hp

Even the McLaren F1, the fastest naturally aspirated car, has less than 700 horsepower... And most of those record-breaking cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife are still under 800 horsepower yet they pull off incredible lap times.

Owners of those cars all say iT's aLL PaRt oF tHe dRaMa when in reality the transmission acts like it just learned how to drive manual yesterday. Under full throttle it almost shifts like a dct and it's not super jerky at low speeds nor does it have trouble accelerating from 0mph. The la voiture noire is so expensive yet has same interior as an Chiron and has Sam power etc. the centodiechi is also part of same . Divo is no better than a pur sport but costs much more. The thing is since bugatti has low production run they weren’t able to exploite it like aventador .

I'm aware of the history of coach builders, especially older ones like mulliner, park ward, packard, healey, maybach, etc. I know that value of a given car isn't solely based on the performance of the car, I mean we look at porsches like the 911 st and sally special that most definitely perform worse than the gt3rs, turbo s, and gt2rs, ferraris like the sp1 and sp2, and mclarens like the elva that probably perform worse than the hardcore track variants that are cheaper and less limited yet see much steeper hikes in values and I'm still much more okay with that because those cars offer an experience that is different or represent some point in history. I know carbon is an expensive material to work with and getting sharp edges that you see in a lot of these cars with carbon panels can be costly, but we see the same level of craftsmanship in paganis, koenigseggs, the hypercar holy trinity, the apollo ie, and more. However, all of those not only presented exemplary carbon fiber body work but ALSO offered performance that was industry leading in their respective eras, bespoke interiors that weren't shared with lower end cars, and an endless list of options that more or less weren't available for some of these cars in the video. Even in terms of other hypercars I still struggle to understand why someone would want a car built on an aventador chassis and drivetrain over something that was built from the ground up specifically as a car to compete in the 7 figure price range in more areas than just performance. If the only thing these cars can offer is exclusive bodywork, then what makes them any better of a proposition to a billionaire than any other hypercar that offers more than just unique bodywork?

@@Vincetagram Sadly not really. The sc18 was in 2020 in Monaco for a while, driving around. Both cars are sitting in his collection since then. He has also an Centenario, Essenza, Sian, Countach and reventon.

the front of the revuelto has really grown on me and the back has looked sick from day one. Its really carrying new production lambos because the temerario looks bad all around.

That's why the countach had a wing that does nothing other than look cool, the Murcielago had bat wings that also does nothing, the revuelto is a v12 hybrid which doesn't make any sense, the aventador got cylinder deactivation to save fuel like really, the sto is an homoligated huracan from the super trofeo race series which is a lamborghini organised race. I couldn’t agree more with your take on the Aventador “reskin”, I couldn’t even name them. They were ugly and pointless and it hurts the brand. I don’t feel bad for the stupid people who bought them. They look like a botched plastic surgery or a Temu body kit, how can they release the same car with different names and act like they made a whole new hyper car, while other brands actually build and innovate new platforms that have their own identity. The Aventador itself and its iterations (sv, svj, etc) is pretty sick though. As a matter of fact I prefer it to the new Revuelto.
you are absolutely right. I think the Centenario, Veneno, Sian and Countach(these are 'hybrid' but still) were just huge cash grab cars. They are just an aventador with a different body. I actually love how they look, but they should not have been millions of dollars. I'll tell u why they managed to sell them though. Its because the ultra rich don't care about how good a car is objectively, they want something that their fellow rich friends don't have in their collections and it makes for bragging rights and these cars won't use their value in the future which makes for a good investment for them.

I grew up w/ the enzo, watched the reventon come out when I was 7, watched the seato elemento come out when I was 11 or 12 and likewise with the laferrari but we’re supposed to act like the veneno looked nearly as good as any of those?
I think the vast number of Aventador reskins just speaks to how good a platform it was for Lamborghini. I remember how insane that car was when it came out. It was one of very few supercars at the time that could school a GT-R in a drag race. It does not surprise me that Lamborghini milked the platform as much as they did. It should also be noted imo that the 2000s and 2010s were very different eras when it came to special edition high end supercars. We did not get much of anything in the 00s outside the Veyron and the occasional Pagani/Koenigsegg. In the 2010s though everybody who made a supercar was trying to cash in on the ultra wealthy demographic. Did Lamborghini take it a little too faf? Maybe. End of day though, this is still Lamborghini we're talking about. What is Lamborghini about if not excess? It remains to be seen how they proceed with the Revuelto now. If they have a good platform, they will milk it till it's dry. If not, they'll probably just not do that much with it. Edit: I've been able to shoot the Sian at a car show a couple of years ago. Was definitely an experience, even if I didn't have the flexibility to do everything I wanted. Until I do have carte blanche with a Sian, the macro lens on a Maisto model will have to do.

The hypercar marked Lamborghini is targeting is not about performance, value or technology for money. It is about scarcity for money. Different manufacturers have different approaches, but all have the same outcome; expensive products.

personally i love the design of the veneno. its design (specifically the dorsal fin) reminds me of le mans prototypes, which are my absolute favorite type of cars

@@Vincetagram Sadly not really. The sc18 was in 2020 in Monaco for a while, driving around. Both cars are sitting in his collection since then. He has also an Centenario, Essenza, Sian, Countach and reventon.

Lamborghini never ceases to surprise me with how stupid the interior and exterior designs are. Like they look good when you aren’t paying attention, but then you take a closer look and realize how IMPRACTICAL they really made the car. Still gotta love Lamborghini though ❤️😭🙏🏼
That's the whole point of lamborghini. It doesn't have to make any sense it just have to be cool. That's why the countach had a wing that does nothing other than look cool, the Murcielago had bat wings that also does nothing, the revuelto is a v12 hybrid which doesn't make any sense, the aventador got cylinder deactivation to save fuel like really, the sto is an homoligated huracan from the super trofeo race series which is a lamborghini organised race. Lambo don't make any sense and I like it 😂😂

cmon the sian is not tha bad man?? it should have been actually good and not mid asf. ive seen a spec of one online and oh my the way how beatifull this car can get with specs... also the base colors look so good and the angles are so great. tbh you cant even call it a aventador reskin it looks nothing like an aventador. matter of fact i think the revuelto is based on it and even the revuelto looks so good. i dont get the hate on this car though. ik it might have an aventador engine and system but besides that it doesnt deserve all the hate. its like if id start hating on ALL the paganis as they are all the same chassis, engine, design and the only differrence of those cars is that they either remove a roof and add a little bit of carbon fiber and make it millions more expensive. if that gets the hate alr i get it and im not a fan of it neither. but like cmon this is a one of model that looks good and is unique without having really any ugly parts. the rear, front. every angle looks good imo.

I couldn’t agree more with your take on the Aventador “reskin”, I couldn’t even name them. They were ugly and pointless and it hurts the brand. I don’t feel bad for the stupid people who bought them. They look like a botched plastic surgery or a Temu body kit, how can they release the same car with different names and act like they made a whole new hyper car, while other brands actually build and innovate new platforms that have their own identity.
The Aventador itself and its iterations (sv, svj, etc) is pretty sick though. As a matter of fact I prefer it to the new Revuelto.

you are absolutely right. I think the Centenario, Veneno, Sian and Countach(these are 'hybrid' but still) were just huge cash grab cars. They are just an aventador with a different body. I actually love how they look, but they should not have been millions of dollars. I'll tell u why they managed to sell them though. Its because the ultra rich don't care about how good a car is objectively, they want something that their fellow rich friends don't have in their collections and it makes for bragging rights and these cars won't use their value in the future which makes for a good investment for them.
There’s only 14 Veneno’s in the world. 3 coupés, 9 roadsters and 2 display models. These cars are made for stupid rich people who want something more special than a Lamborghini Aventador. Like somebody else said in the comments, it’s all for exclusivity.
I like the Centenario and Sián but for the price of just one of them you can literally P1 and 918 (two actual hyper cars)

OH DAMN! I had forgotten about the new Countach. And YES it's a beautiful car. And I grew up in the 80's and I still believe it's a beautiful car.
I think the vast number of Aventador reskins just speaks to how good a platform it was for Lamborghini. I remember how insane that car was when it came out. It was one of very few supercars at the time that could school a GT-R in a drag race. It does not surprise me that Lamborghini milked the platform as much as they did.
It should also be noted imo that the 2000s and 2010s were very different eras when it came to special edition high end supercars. We did not get much of anything in the 00s outside the Veyron and the occasional Pagani/Koenigsegg. In the 2010s though everybody who made a supercar was trying to cash in on the ultra wealthy demographic. Did Lamborghini take it a little too faf? Maybe. End of day though, this is still Lamborghini we're talking about. What is Lamborghini about if not excess?
It remains to be seen how they proceed with the Revuelto now. If they have a good platform, they will milk it till it's dry. If not, they'll probably just not do that much with it.
Edit: I've been able to shoot the Sian at a car show a couple of years ago. Was definitely an experience, even if I didn't have the flexibility to do everything I wanted.
Until I do have carte blanche with a Sian, the macro lens on a Maisto model will have to do.
