Going over some of the points The carbon body panels, one point that you didn’t mention is that there are like genuinely a lot more examples than you’d think where the carbon part is actually heavier than a factory metal body panel Adding on to the part where you said it looks unfinished, like many other mods especially recently, there’s no design cohesion, shit don’t flow well together and there are just way too many people who look at parts individually instead of looking at the car as a whole, because yeah a carbon fender looks cool on its own but when you stick on a car that pretty much factory looking and you just have an eyesore of a carbon fender, that’s a lack of design cohesion. It’s like so many people modding cars now never got past kindergarten cause they kept sticking the square peg into the round hole The blacking out… like you said it’s way overdone and it genuinely just makes 90% of it just look so cheap and shoddy, especially the taillights and I’m so glad you mentioned how it can melt and distort the housings Camber and stance… couldn’t really say anything more you worded it perfectly The wheels… my god the wheels, bigger does not always mean better especially performance wise, generally the only performance benefit you’d get from bigger rims is bigger brakes which is also something that is something that is way misinformed thing in our community but I’ll get to the brakes in a bit, bigger wheels can genuinely be such a massive deterrent to your performance not just because of weight but also because of the sidewall and it’s flex, there is so much more to it than that Donks aren’t included in this because they obviously are very very far from performance oriented and are blatantly obvious to just be stylistic Then the brakes, bigger does not mean you stop quicker, that is such a huge misunderstanding. Having bigger brakes just means your brakes will cool better, that’s it, tires as well as your pad and rotor material are what make you stop quicker, not the size of the brake disc Then the final point you made, upbadging… again I couldn’t have said it better Overall great video and I’ll definitely be watching more of your things A lack of complaints to the over use and misuse of canards would have made it even better but that’s me being a bit anal
💯 agree with the black rims being over done, or played out now, and also agree with the carbon fiber take. I have a bk2 Genesis coupe 3.8, which i have a carbon fiber hood, but that is it, and I have satin black rims. The hood isn't painted , but I have a black spoiler, the car is white, and it looks good imo with the black spoiler, black rims, carbon hood, and heavy dark tint. Lol. nah fr lol, but I think we're seeing a shift in trends within the truck community. Overlanding is back and ppl are swapping their rubber band wheel/tire setups and candy painted 2ft tall lift kits for functional 2-4in lifts and 16-18in wheels on fat tires and other functional mods that look like they could actually go offroad.
The fake badge thing is one of the oldest crap mods. Guys way back used to make tribute cars. They would buy up all the exterior parts and badges for something like a early 70s GTO and make it look like a GTO Judge. It was painful 50+ years ago and it is painful now. My weird car thing is that I cannot stand any modification that makes your car worse to drive and handle and serves no other purpose than appearance. Squatted trucks, lifted trucks with no suspension travel and rubber band tires, extreme camber, massive heavy bodykits, just to name a few. Lowriders get a pass because they are set up to hop and bounce. Drift cars get camber passes and even missing fender passes. True offroad trucks are good too. So maybe my other rule that nobody needs to follow but guides my thinking is that you can make your vehicle horrible for regular driving so long as there is an alternate purpose.
The hood/roof/mirrors combo on some cars looks ok but adding the fenders or trunklid looks pretty tacky imo. Atp you gotta go full carbon or paint the carbon you have🤷🏾♂️
Its not that people "like it" what people dont understand is once you paint carbon its extremely tedious to reverse or change the color without damaging the weave underneath. Your better off leaving it or wraping it if or when you can afford it.

A trunk lid can be as heavy or heavier than a hood. Carbon fiber exist with a purpose, that's more important than looks.
If it's not a bus, dump truck, airplane tug, tractor, or some other commercial vehicle; there's no need to put 20+ inch rims on a car.
🤣🤣🤣
😂🤝
You missed on the carbon bit. Because having to go back and paint match it can be expensive especially if you decide to change the color later. Once you paint carbon you cant really go back or you run the risk of damaging it so its functionallu better to just leave it. Or wrap it.
😂😂😂
😂🤝😂
It's not about looks. Carbon fiber is weight reduction. I feel this is a very common thing. And extra hp without the tune
I knew i wasn’t the only one that hates it especially dudes in my city with their Infiniti Gs with it 😂🫣🥴
