Oh Kristen, you are enticing me to "buy one of each" of these gorgeous patterns!! Ha, ha!! Simply cant decide - what a selection to enjoy. I love this round up and Im so happy you collected all of these patterns to show us in one video. My sewing machine is going to be "smokin' hot" very soon! Thank you, thank you. xx
I also made the Elodie and the Helena. I had similar issues with size grading with the Elodie. In fact I took it apart and added additional panels if fabric to accommodate the increase in waist size. I should have been a little more thoughtful before cutting. The Helena wrap came out great! The neckline is a bit tricky. I found some on line support to help.
The best wrap dresses I made were the Helena Wrap Dress (JP), Adeline Wrap Dress (FMN) and the Giselle Dress (Style Arc). I was disappointed with the Roseclair as one of the side ties undid itself whilst i was in the street😅, but at least I was still decent to a point. With regards to the necklines, if they are too low , I just raise them on the front bodice at a height I want the cross over to be at the centre front (using a tutorial I got from a blog) and redraw the front neck facings. If the neckline raw egdes are finished with bias binding like the roseclair, then that is a straightforward process. I wasn't aware of the Wildwood, Darjeeling and Romy wrap dresses, so I will check those put.
@@LydiaDeHep no, I still haven't got around to making that, but I do believe there are instructions on raising the neckline on a surplice (wrap) bodice on the tutorial section of Closet Core Patterns.
I can’t wait to make the roseclair. I love that they have instructions on where to grade out. Juliet Uzors book also has a wrap dress. I’d like to try that as well.
I just bought the Roseclair on your recommendation...looks so great. So glad you are wearing the Millicent - I bought it about 6 weeks ago but cautious to make it but we seem to be the same size so good to see it on you! Love a good wrap dress and top!
perfect! i'm on a wrap dress hunt...some great choices...i made both the just patterns wraps and they are a wonderful sew...have you tried the seamwork ones? i cant find much on their most recent ones...love your dress, thst fabric is gorgeous...tfs:)
The Style Arc wrap dress is a stunner! Lots of lovely inspiration here. I made the 'Highland Wrap Dress by Allie Olsen' for a wedding I attended early last year. It is a nice pattern with plenty of coverage.
Simplicity 3804 is a retired Khalilah Ali pattern that is stunning. It is a faux wrap with princess seams, there are several variations including tops and also a non-wrap top, dress and skirt. It’s available in several sizes on Etsy. I made the faux wrap dress this past spring in a green and pink floral double brushed poly and I love it. I’m thinking of making another for this challenge. I love wrap dresses. Yours are just lovely and I want to make them all, lol! 😊. Very lovely video, your garden’s doing so well. The foxgloves are so pretty. Take care!❤
I've given up on instagram. I don't understand it. Managed to put up the first few posts but the whole concept is too tech for me. Love the bright fabrics.
Excellent work

Perfect timing! I’m in love with several of these and already imagining them in my wardrobe, made to suit my climate.
Glad you like them!
My fave of your makes of all time: the wildwood!

Thanks so much Amie!
Lovely pattern choices thank you. Is a faux wrap like the SOI Georgie suitable for your challenge?
Yes of course! That will be lovely!
@@thedahliasewciety that is exciting as I have wanted to make the Georgie for a while. ❤
Amazing selection. I was surprised you did not include the McCall’s 7969. Can we use that pattern in the challenge?
Yes! I’m doing a separate vlog with big 4 Wraps too!
