- Charlie Adelson’s parents are now facing questioning before their son goes on trial for the murder of Dan Markel in 2014. A judge ordered Adelson’s parents to appear for questioning ahead of the trial. This is the latest in the case that caught national attention.
Charlie Adelson is accused of hiring people to kill his former brother-in-law during a heated custody battle with Adelson’s sister.

They need to arrest and charge Wendi and Donna. Not only are they guilty as sin for being part of this murder conspiracy, but the sons are in danger. It has happened many times before that a parent kills the kids, and sometimes herself/himself, when they feel the law closing on the them. They need to keep make sure the kids are safe and far away from Wendi and her family, and then they need to nail their asses.
I think the boys are in danger emotionally. Sadly they are being brought up in a family of malignant narcissists (I find this the most appropriate description of Wendy & Donna) They are quite possibly being brainwashed as they are not allowed outside influences.

Thanks Vinny for highlighting the fact that Danny was such a loving father. This case is heartbreaking. The loss of this brilliant man, father,son,brother and friend all because he wanted to be in his boys lives and be an active father. The adelsons plotted ,planned and then put their plan is motion and this man died a horrific death leaving his family shattered.
Is there a better legacy than that of a loving involved dad?

Why, oh, why did Katie not take a plea from the beginning? Did she have ineffective counsel? Some say her attorneys were paid by the Adelsons. Had Katie sought a plea, she may have a chance to be in her children’s’ lives, instead of in prison for life.

No custody was decided even before the divorce was settled.
They had JOINT custody.
Tow things were going to happen in court the next month if he wasnt murdered.
He is not mentioning these issues:
1. Wendi could lose her license for lying to the court about assets.
2. Donna could lose her ability to be alone with the boys.

It is so lovely to hear Dan’s Mum talk about his personality. I would love to listen to her speak for longer about him. He sounds like a great guy, not just a victim or a statistic.
Both sides acted like jerks during the divorce: no one gets deified. But the abject evil of Wendi, Charlie and the rest of the Adelsons need the full measure of justice.
It's rare to see this much psychopathy united to hurt so many. May Charlie's downfall just be the beginning of their end.

Donna taking the papers from the undercover cop was one of the most chilling parts is this: she didn't bat an eye, knowing full well that her son set up a hit.

Dan Markel was a brilliant jurist. It’s so sad to see an academic like that struck down before his time. This trial is going to be sensational. You can’t make a script better than this.

During the defense attorney's questioning of Wendi, and I believe that of Charlie's past girlfriends, I couldn't help but laugh when he would start off with: "You would say Charlie is a good-looking guy, wouldn't you?" I thought, how could someone that looks like Larry Fine be considered good looking??

It is laughable that Donna Adelson, in one of her lengthy ranting emails to Wendy, made snide comments about Tallahassee, implying that Tallahassee was "beneath" people from Miami, that Miami people are better class, a higher caliber of people.
But, based on the "Characters" that we've seen coming out of Miami, to plan, orchestrate and execute this crime, that is hilarious. These characters, affiliated with the Adelson's are the lowest of the low, as is Wendy and her entire family of psychopaths.
It would appear that the Adelson's are scum of the Earth, as are all of their criminal associates.

Custody was already decided. The issues were Wendi could have lost her law license, and Donna could have lost unsupervised visits with her grandchildren.Wendi wanted to move 400 miles away to South Florida and was denied. When Dan was shot death she could make that move.
Much love and respect to the Markell family. From Alberta Canada. I pray you finally get peace after this trial but I fear there are at least 2 more trials to come. Wendi and her mother had a part in it. In my opinion. I truly believe they both knew it was being set up at the very least. I think his mother facilitated the money and Wendi gave times and helped to set up the time and place. It was a family decision in my opinion. I don't think the father was involved but I'm sure he knows more.
The father was absolutely involved. The family made decisions as a unit. No way they spent a dime without his approval.
