Obscure = Insanely interesting! I know the lack of info can be frustrating, but it’s cool to go off the beaten path. I have some silver bars like that. Great stuff, Struck! 🤘
So true my friend! The search for more information continues, you never know who's watching. Perhaps an old employee of ASR sees this video and emails...it could happen🤣😊👍
Late getting to this comment! Hope you had a great start to the week. Tonight's video is just that GAW results vid but tomorrow night is the MPM poured bars! Been looking forward to that video since last October :)
So much to learn it makes it quite interesting. I never been a big bar collector but watching and learning from your channel is slowly changing my mind LOL
Those are all very uniquely cool in their own way. It is hard to pick a favorite. I have never seen or heard of those before. I do see lots of interesting silver I have never heard of on Mineral Exchange. Thank you for the information.
I appreciate the kind words. I have bought a few interesting pieces from Mineral Exchange as well. If you checkout that site be careful, it can ramp up your vintage addiction, lol!
Well you have some really obscure bars, so I'm guessing your SanFran ingot would be a good example. Although, that one is as closer to a numismatic value as bars get, so it's on a different level, imo.
Vintagepouredbar is great but also limited. Awesome additions. The unknown bars are the worst. At least you’ve got makers marks and other identifiers 👍
You have a great vintage bar collection CSAN! I remember you showing some hard to ID bars. I'll sometimes pick up bars that I feel might have a chance to ID. Old poured with no markings i leave alone...even tho they are cool😊
G'day Silver Struck, wow you pick up some very cool vintage & obscure silver bars, this time from some lesser known refiners, I'm sure you were very happy to find them & didn't hesitate to snap them up, in addition to your own research & with the assistance of the community, I'm sure you will fill in any knowledge gaps over time, very cool additions to your collection, thanks for sharing your passion. Cheers Peter J 😂👋💪🇦🇺 🐨🦘👍
You always have such nice comments, thank you PeterJ! I share as much information as I can with the community and often times I learn a thing or two in the comment section.
I'm not sure I even know what my most obscure bar is, especially since I only have 1 ounce bars. I probably have something obscure that I just don't recognize, otherwise mine are just very run of the mill. I do have a number of Engelhards, but I wouldn't say that they are obscure in any way or particularly rare. I know Fish will have been very happy to see some "nookage" in that Omega Refining bar, as he likes the old stuff that has "character" and especially "nookage". I'm just doing a bit of catch up again. Great vintage pickups! You never fail to find interesting stuff. I hope all is going well. Take care my friend!
Thank you for catching up on Silver Struck videos! I know it takes a lot of time to watch these, so it's nice that you find enough value in the content to watch. It's hard to believe how strong the vintage silver market has become since I started picking up old bars. I liked it better when we could buy vintage bars for generic pricing but those days are long gone, lol!
@@SilverStruck It's just the perils of popularity and bringing more attention to a part of the market that was a bit concealed and/or forgotten. I can't tell you the number of channels that I watch where your channel name comes up. When interest is spurred pricing just starts changing. It's interesting to watch the change from the outside, as I'm not very impacted by it myself. Just means your channel is having an impact and an influence on the market. It's not just you of course, but I think your channel has a larger impact than you might imagine. You've got me watching, and I'm not even in the vintage market. Well done!
I get it...Not the prettiest but still could be valued by the collector. I kind of like the bottom left one. The soft corners are a nice touch. The others I would have no interest in but weight but I get it. Obscure stuff is often collectable.
Hey struck 3rd bar is a bar I've seen before but Stamp is different on your bar. Very interesting. I know it as a International USA LTD bar. Have seen them in 10oz, 25oz and 100oz. I'm a big fan of the older Omega bars. Snagged a sweet 25oz a few weeks back. Haven't seen to many of the Omega's from the 80s which I believe is the variety u showed in your vid. Very nice looking more modern omega's in this vid especially the 1st bar💯👍Own a few 1 off bars myself but I'm not a big fan of these bars. Very easy to hate these bars as u had said in ur vid. As not knowing all the info can b very frustrating! ACO odd weight 10oz bar is an obscure bar that I had picked up awhile back and was fortunate enough to learn more about. Stamp is CAO with the A raised above the C and O. Had a community member school me on these bars. I try to trade or use obscure bars for GSR trade when ratio is in 70s or lower. I just dont enjoy not knowing the whole story on these bars. So I trade em for Au bullion along with generic silver bars I used to build weight in my stack when I started out. Always enjoy your vids and examples u share. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy watching. Thanks SS.
That's the same thought I have- International bar for that World Wide. I have an International in ten ounce and it's identical- except the name on the stamping- has to be the same maker. As a collector, it's way nicer knowing more about the bars we own and it's a more fun part of the hobby as well. I'll keep some of these obscure bars but not many. Missed the coin show- I had to go up North and docks out of the water before it's too cold, lol! Thank you for the continued support of the channel my friend, your awesome!
@@SilverStruck No worries. I enjoy the channel please keep it coming. Yup frozen water no good for docks haha. Well maybe the next 1. Usually March or April. 1 of these times it will work out lol. Still interested in Everest round and that wont change ever! Just been dragging my feet on getn letters out. SORRY! Enjoy your week ahead SS✌
Sometimes I do test the bars, I have a metal analyzer. Most of the bars are bought from trusted LCS's. I can also hear the silver too, so if the bar sounds off- that's a whole other story.
Typically the premium is high if the seller recognizes vintage silver as a premium silver bar. Sometimes you have a seller that just treats all silver as just silver- then you can score big as a buyer if you know what your doing.

I usually use good old all engelhard folks email or email the other knowledgeable guys at vintage poured silver . Sometimes eBay works😊
There are a bunch of auctions you can use for good resources- Ebay is a top one I use as well 👍👍
Some primo silver for sure! Right two super chunks! 🔥🔥🔥
They sure are fun to have in the collection!
That world wide precious metals bar is absolutely freaking awesome
I love that bar! Absolutely nothing on that one out there- must be a counter stamped bar...

For some reason I love finding these unknowns especially if they are odd weights. you added some nice ones.
The omega bars show up often on mineral X
Yes, I have seen the Omega's on Mineral X! I use that site a lot to refer to historical pricing much like Heritage and other sites like that.
Nice chunky bars
Very nice 👍🏻
I like chunky bars too- makes it feel like you actually have something in your hands!
Nice additions to the collection. My favorite is the 1st bar shown.
That's a cool looking bar NC, glad you liked it! Hope all is well with you in your part of the World. Take care, I'll see you on the next vid!
@@SilverStruck Yes, I'm fine, thank you.
Some very interesting bars, my most obscure bars are probably the 25&50 ounce class Aurum Refining bars. You definitely found some good ones.
That's some weight you have in obscure bars Three Toes, wow! It's really neat finding bars like that shopping for silver.
So much to learn it makes it quite interesting. I never been a big bar collector but watching and learning from your channel is slowly changing my mind
LOL
I'm mostly a bar stacker these days but when I started it was coins and then rounds. Glad you enjoy the content, thank you very much!
I like these bars! 😁 Happy weekend!

Vintage poured bar's are the Best 👌🏾
100% agree and thank you for watching!
I always like odd bars like these, SS!
ACE! Wonderful bars, I like finding them- like a treasure hunt😊
I like that World Wide bar 😊
That one is pretty neat, I like it as well!
Really nice obscure bars silver struck. I can't say I'd be able to pick a favorite random vintage obscure bar. I'll have to think about that one 😅
For you , I would say a rare variety of a bar! I know you stack the Engelhards and JM's pretty deep 👍👍
Outstanding bars, SS. Love the Alaska bars. Wouldn't have passed on any of them. As for most obscure... ;)
Well you have some really obscure bars, so I'm guessing your SanFran ingot would be a good example. Although, that one is as closer to a numismatic value as bars get, so it's on a different level, imo.
I can’t say I’ve seen any of those out in the wild before. Very nice bars. Thanks for sharing.
Hardly found or seen bars- sometimes the seller just has them cast aside in a bin-crazy
@@SilverStruck I appreciate you posting about those. Happen to see them out there then I have some info on them.
Vintagepouredbar is great but also limited. Awesome additions. The unknown bars are the worst. At least you’ve got makers marks and other identifiers 👍
Congrats on the pickups
The most obscure bar is the 11.75 oz with no other stamps

ASR is Alaska Smelting Refinery from the 1970's. I hope that helps. Nice vid and chunky silver! 👍👍👍
Thank you! I did know that but always appreciate people offering up information. You never know if a piece of info I need!
I love educating myself as well. Learned a lot from you! Especially on the englehards!👍👍👍
Sweet Vin-Ta-Gay you've got there SS. I love finding that stuff!
Best silver to find in the wild hands down😊👍👍
Bean, I miss your videos, Bro.

I really appreciate that PCI, thank you! I try and share as much as I can.
I picked up a couple more obscure bars that I will show sometime soon. I’d love your take on them.
Oh man, thank sounds great T- would love to see what you found😊
You always find something new to bring to the table which is very informative
Much appreciated! Wish I knew more about the bars this time but did my best 😊
I love to Hate your Bars!!! Cause I don't have them! Nice silver chunks!
LOL!! Hey sir, good to see you. Thank you for watching and making me smile! Give my regards to Silver Planes- it's almost candy hunting time👍👍
Silver Struck AKA Obscure Struck.
I'm Struck by the fact that you always find the most Obscure silver bars I've ever seen.
Thank you BA! I'll take that as a compliment!
I really like those Omega chunkers. I'm not sure which of mine is the most obscure. 🤔
Well, you have a lot of silver to go through to find that one out WMW! I'm sure you have something that would qualify.

Georgia
Most obscure bar?
A tael a.k.a. Banana bar
Vietnamese, 19th century made from french or Spanish coin silver.
That would do it! I've seen bars like that but Chinese I believe. Someday I might pick one up for the collection, very cool historic silver😊
