For anyone wondering, we did prime the engine each time in the video after we took the oil out and put it back in. In the clips with the car running it had been idling for a while and was already up to temp. We will make sure to include us priming the car in future videos and give more info so there will be no confusion. We were tired and ready to be done, so we missed out on filming those things. When you do a job like this always prime the oil first before starting. Your oil ran without oil for a couple seconds that was that knocking noise you could hear upon start up. To prime oil all you have to do is press the gas peddle all the way to the floor and hold the start button. The car will crank but not start and it will build oil pressure. Do this at least 2-3 times for at least 10 seconds
Yes that’s very good and important point. We make sure to prime it whenever we do something that removes oil, but it was a super long day and I honestly forgot if we did or didn’t. If we didn’t that’s on me and thanks for looking out, but trust me we make sure to do that every time. Of course the one time it matters we forgot to put it in the video lmao. Thanks for the input though, we used the method you mentioned to prime it when we put the oil in. I’m not sure if we recorded that part 🤔, we will have have to check later, but just in case we will make sure to include it next time. We appreciate you dropping some knowledge 💪🏾.
Ignore what I just said lol, I just thought about it got a while and we talked about it, and we did prime the car we just didn’t film it. This was a few weeks back that we did this so I forgot but we always make sure to do it. It also had been running for about 8- 10 minutes before we started recording and it was up to temp every time it was running on video so it had plenty of oil circulation already, not sure why the camera picked up that sound. We did prime it though, but thanks for commenting that. It’s a flaw in our videoing and we will improve on that next time so there is no confusion.
@@jessefarias1507 the reason is you never want to start your motor without having oil pressure/circulation. Easy way to ensure that doesn’t happen is to prime the motor. We didn’t show it in this video but we always do it when it comes to changing oil and things of that nature. Just press the gas all the way down and the clutch at the same time and do it a few times and you’ll be set.
When removing the oil filter, loosen it and allow the oil to drain on its own instead of trying to take it off while the oil is coming out. Keep up the good videos.
You’re 100% correct, that’s the smart way to do it. To be completely honest, we only do it the hard way because its funny when things like this happen. Thanks for the support we appreciate you watching the video!
Yep Florida where it’s always hot and sticky. It has an oil cooler stock but the stock one uses coolant and I’ve seen them fail on many different cars from other manufacturers. I didn’t want to have that issue so It was a mod I wanted to do anyways, it just happened to be earlier than I planned lol.
Damn I saw mine leaking screwed back in last oil change. Gotta order one or put that tape on like you guys did right? Mine isn’t too hard to get to in the ecoboost.
Whatever makes you feel better, honestly as long as the sensor is still working fine thread tape would work. Just make sure that if you do use thread tape you put it on the right way so it goes with the threads not against them.
It’s pretty good, it drives smoothly and it’s snappy, but we honestly don’t feel a huge difference w it vs the Airaid. We are going to try to get it on the dyno to compare the two in the near future. We just haven’t had time yet.

I installed the Ford racing suspension for the Shelby KR 500 tuned for the S197.. keep turning wrenches!! oB
Will do, but do you have an Instagram page with the car? It sounds like a nicely set up Shelby.
Great vid!
Thanks!

Pick your self up some ford performance engine oil filters they are bigger than every other filter
We will check them out, thanks for the recommendation I’ve recently heard about them and that they were one of the best if not the best.
Going to check them out as well
