Spinning the tires, need some more grip
@ yea definitely, it would easily be in the 7 second range with grip. I already have the wheels, I just need to order some slicks and skinnies. I haven’t taken the car to the drag strip since this video because it’s making even more power than it was here so it would just spin even more.

@@illestproductions2589 that’s funny 🤣. I was in an uncomfortable position and trying to project my voice for the camera to hear. This comment made me laugh out loud 🤣.

How does the car feel with new lower control arms and steering tie rods? I need to do these as well.
@@jefflebo5836 it feels like a whole different car. Granted this care already had lowering springs and rear upper control arms but it was night and day. The front end felt much tighter.
@@ThrottleHavoc thanks!
So I’m on stock suspension on a 2022 GT took to dealer for oil change and told them about the squeak as well sounded just like this. They diagnosed It as spring isolators and are currently replacing them. Do you think on a stock set up this would be the case?
@@vincecarbonaro5692 yes definitely, that’s actually how we landed on the isolators as the possible culprit. A lot of cars stock and modded had the same issue and the isolators were found to be the cause of the noise in quite a few of them.
Nice before and after videos.

Did it all to my 16......Mcleod clutch, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, insert, Steeda billet mount bracket and bushing, braided lines.....I used Amsoil 75/90 with the Motorcraft oil additive. I also bleed out my brake/clutch fluid about every 5000 miles to keep that fluid crystal clear with no moisture.....These MT-82 trans are ok for street and some road course driving when you install a good clutch.....Good video my brothers.....God Bless....
Nice vid, keep going👏
@@africkerogalo thanks!
Do we know why the bearings went that bad? Did you get any lack of oil pressure or blockage?
@@leivabernie honestly we aren’t sure. When the car started knocking it still had a good amount of oil, and the car didn’t throw a low oil pressure light or anything. The engine temp was fine too, and as far as we saw there were no blockages. We just assume the engine went a little bit too far out of tolerance and chewed up the bearings.
I keep a can of dielectric grease/paste around. Use it to lube up spring cups & perches when installing new suspension. It's suggested to take apart sway bar mounts once a year, clean any debris between the mount and the sway bar, then re-apply grease and assemble. put on o-rings and seals when installing to help them last longer. Rubber body seals & trim, apply a thin coat once a year keeps them from drying out. Also makes assembling anything with a plastic, rubber, or silicone seal a lot easier; like putting an air filter on a CAI tube. A dab on your spark plug ceramic helps sliding the plug wire boots on & off. Will also seal up and protect electrical connections exposed to the elements. Probably one of the most unused and under-appreciated lubricants for automotive applications. 8oz can of Mission dielectric grease is usually $20-$25 and a one-time purchase for the average hobby/home mechanic.
You open a portal😮
no hate but I think there is more work to be done on those shifts.
No hate taken, my girl doesn’t really drive the car hard often so that coupled with the brand new clutch and shifter feel in this video just kind of make a recipe for slow shifts as she was getting a feel for the new set up. If you’re talking about me, I was adjusting to the new clutch and shifter feel as well. I shift my mustang very fast and you can checkout some of those videos on the channel if you’d like. However it was the same deal when I changed the shifter, and a bunch of the clutch components in my mustang. It takes a while to get used to a change like that, so yea it’s to be expected with zero seat time on a new clutch/shifter feel.
@@ThrottleHavoc yeah I get that, I’m not saying I’m perfect manual driver because every time i get into a different manual car it’s like I have to relearn everything. Was just wondering about the slow shifts but I get it now
@@jaredhernandez2313 yea man, we just needed some seat time with the new set up. I feel you though, it’s amazing how each manual car feels different. Between this civic, the mustang, and 3 other manual cars we switch between they all drive different and it takes some adjusting when getting into each vehicle.
Hi guys, can you also please post the links where you got the parts from. I am new to using a manual and I did experience the lockout and I was thinking thats how manual transmissions are untill I researched. Please help me out 😊

The platform is garbage, even places like Calimer with G-force gears fail. If you're NA, the MT82 is still a roll of the dice. Bite the bullet and do a T56 swap, dual disk clutch, one piece drive shaft, proven platform. about 10k for the swap but puts the MT82 to shame.
I’ve seen it go either way, some have held 1000+ wheel stock, and some have broken with stock power. I already have everything setup for the mt82 like a driveshaft and the rear gear ratio etc., so I’m going to push it and see how far it goes. I’ve seen some good and bad reviews on the Ben calimer trans, but I’m going to give it a chance since I’m already pretty far into the mt82 set up. We will see how it goes though 🤷🏾♂️.
@@ThrottleHavoc I was a click away from ordering a stage 3 and committing to the build. My MT82 held up for 40k under 700hp but is on its way out, and I honestly don't even drive it hard, no burn outs, I don't dump the clutch at the lights, Shift around 6.5k I agree they can hold up but I can't do the roll the dice with this kind of cost. You said it perfectly that some hold and some don't regardless of HP. I hope you're one of the lucky ones, so lets hope both our choices work out for us.
Great demonstration, thank you
You’re welcome, and thank you!
Not good gains
Ok
Wait so you mixed the E85 that was in there already with C85? Or was it pure C85?
It was a mix, there was a little bit of pump e85 left when we poured in the c85.
great video!! steeda shoulda use these camera angles to promote their stuff. very informative
Thanks! They did use some a similar angle under the car. We just used some others because we really wanted to show the differences the best we could.
Nice.....I put every single part you boys did on a 16.....Absolutely amazing difference.....Great job.....
Thanks! I love the difference, I couldn’t go back to driving it with the stock stuff.
Longtubes, catback, wheels and tires, with a lund racing 93 tune got me a 12.4 in the 1/4 on the street with spinning all through 1st and 2nd.
Not bad at all, I haven’t done an 1/8 or 1/4 in a while. I need to grab some tires for my drag pack so I can get some accurate numbers.
You guys are the best you tube channel on s550 I ever seen. New sub!! Just ordered my driveshaft it was over 1k tho. I have a 750hp supercharged drop top with the a10 I love it. I just got the lethal performance suspension kit for it too. Should be here in another week.
Thanks! It sounds like you’re setting your car up right. What power adder do you have on it?
@@ThrottleHavoc it came with a Roush stage 2 750hp supercharger. I ordered everything for e85 tune. That’s next. It made 638 wheel hp on 91. He said it will make 700whp on e85
This sounds insane, might be my next move… I currently have an H- pipe resonator delete and no mufflers, which is already pretty damn loud, but like what kind of Mustang owner am I if I don’t do headers with an ungodly loud exhaust 😂😂
😂😂 yea headers increase the volume a crazy amount. It’s hard to phantom until you hear the difference in person but go got it you won’t regret it!
Dang if he was shifting like a barbarian thn that clutch to damn soft💀
Yea the stock clutch had to go, I shift the same with the upgraded clutch but it holds way better and with much more power too.
I was told stage 3 might blow trans , how it’s holding so far ? What you think if I go with a stage 1 and mgw shifter mcleod flywheel.
It’s been holding well, I’ve had it in the car now for about 5 years or so. As far as shifters you can’t go wrong with an mgw or a Barton. The flywheel is also up to you, McLeod is good, I went with an exedy flywheel. As far as the clutch goes I would tell you assess your future plans with the car so that way when you put it in, you aren’t 2 years down the road like damn I wish I put a stronger clutch in. It all depends on how you drive and your future plans for the car.
@@ThrottleHavoc my Mustang gt 2016 sometimes 1st third and fifth feel cranky when I try to push the car , feels like the clutch is getting “late” I have to wait like 2 seconds and it shifts right without crank, I was told when I bought it the clutch was new recently changed and that the problem might be the tranny” but the more I go to forums more I think it might be that ford clutch and shifter.
How’s that bbk throttle body working for you
It’s been great for me in terms of reliability, I haven’t had any issues. However I’d steer you away from it due to the fact it’s a waste of money in terms of what you get power wise.
@@ThrottleHavocwhich throttle would your recommend aside from bbk then?
@@10letta the stock one. The difference is so negligible it just doesn’t make sense to spend money on a throttle body unless you have a cobra jet intake or an intake manifold that doesn’t use the stock style throttle body. If you really want more power and you’re already fbo save the 500 you’d spend on a throttle body and buy some l&m intake cams for 999. You’ll get way more power than you will with the throttle body and it won’t be a waste of money. If you don’t want to do that, I understand because cams are an involved install. My point is save the money for a different mod. I only did the mod for a video, but my advice to everyone is just save that chunk of change and spend it elsewhere.
You end up doing half shafts? Or you have been fine without them?
I’ll actually be buying some in a couple weeks and we will be making a video on it. We did install a driveshaft though since this video. The stock axles are fine as long as you don’t have a sticky tire, especially if it’s a stick car. If you plan on drag racing and you put a tire on, the axles need to be changed or they will break.
@@ThrottleHavocI had a drag set up on my friend kept pushing me to try from his car. The whole time I was more worried of a driveshaft. But I didn’t get to test it out because an emergency came up after we got gas. Now the car has the UPR stage one hop kit. Just need an alignment. Haven’t done a full on pull yet but it feels more responsive. At some point I want to do poly vertical links and that would be enough for the IRS for me.
@@Taino5.0 I told my friend with a manual car don’t do digs with your drag pack or you’ll break it. He brushed me off and his second pass he popped the axle. In these cars your axles will let go before the driveshaft, especially if it’s manual. If you try out the drag pack from a dig and it hooks up properly just know you may pop the axle, the driver side is usually the first one to go because the center is hollow with a styrofoam filling. If you’re manual I would also advise getting bias plys and not drag radials. Drag radials will test everything up that much faster, bias plys help take up some of that driveline shock.
@@ThrottleHavocoh nah I want a bad street car not a race car. His car is fully built and making 800hp or so he says. I’ve driven it and that shit is crazy. Got up to 5k and had to shift couse I was pretty sure I was burning tires. He also has 3.73s on that thing. i also don’t really do digs I usually roll into it. I had a friend that kept trying to have me boost it couse he knew some people. But I know how much other shit you have to get first. Like oil pump gear, driveshaft, half shafts. Sometimes rear main seal shit. Twin disk since mine is a manual. I just want some pilot sports and to change from 20s to 19s. At some point I’ll do the street ford performance suspension kit.
@@Taino5.0 yea my next endeavors are axles and then just that, oil pump gears and crank sprocket. I already have an upgrade clutch and driveshaft along with a bunch of other things. That aside as long as you’re on street tires and especially since you roll onto the power you’ll be fine with the stock axles.
