A little backstory to this song - The album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album which tells the story of an obsessed young woman who stalks and murders the man of her fantasies. She ultimately descends into guilt, madness and eventually death. Dust to Dust is the prologue to the story. The singer is speaking directly to the listener and inviting you into a dark tale of life/death and good/evil which does not have a happy ending. The entire album is excellent.
Neal B Dany’s scream at the end is the QotMS dying, which leads us back to the first track to Start Again! The cycle of Dust to Dust - as described by Dany & Pau on their TH-cam Video Blog release.
As a drummer/singer, I can tell you that it is not easy doing that. Especially if she is using a DBL bass pedal and the hi-hats You're using all four of your limbs at once and singing. Your brain is working at levels beyond what anyone else in the band is using! Thanks Fil for posting this! Rock On!
it's amazing how Paulina can do hour long shows drumming with that intensity while singing. that's why in their vlogs when they talk about how they're doing (usually after a show) she often says she's exhausted. and if u see both of their TEDTalks appearances, when it's her turn to talk to the crowd she's out of breath. she uses so much energy but during her performances she always plays with nuclear power from beginning to end. it's really a sight to behold
Pau has gotten a lot more efficient with her drumming technique in the last year or so, and she can do longer gigs without running out of steam, but it's still a real workout, and no great surprise that she's pretty worn out at the end. I mean she's only like 4' 11", and to demand that kind of power and endurance from that little body is asking a lot!😍 She still gives it 110% every time out though. Alejandra has her work cut out for her also, with her dancing bass! ...and Dany's no slouch either, and has come up with some good stage moves in the last year.😉
You've been WARNED ! And you are absolutely right about everything you say ! It's really fun to hear someone that knows what he's talking about, sharing my exact opinion about this band ! There is NO other band like them ! There's never has been, and there probably never will be ! It takes something really special to make someone like me travel all the way from Sweden to see them perform ! They are very, gifted, but like you say, they also has an unbelivable determination, passion and work ethic ! And on top of that, the entire family and their crew are the most humble and nice people you will ever meet ! I have watched them live and met them twice. In Monterrey, Mexico in 2017 and at a private show past January. They are only teens, but already they have been opening for both Def Leppard and The Killers twice ! They already have performed in front of tens of thousands of people and I dare to say, that there are very few bands that have the stage experiance that they have at their young age ! This band is going places, and I'm looking forward to follow them on their journey ! It's only just begun !
I have only recently learnt of these young ladies , and I can tell you if I had the cash I would book flights and accommodation to travel from Australia to a concert city in either the America‘s or Europe.
Not only is Paulina a great talent on the stage, if one takes time watching their public persona Pau behaves like she has a good grasp on the business side of the music industry. She has great fun just like her sisters, but one can see in her she is very business like. Pau is fabulous. I'm sure that you've already noticed that she actually does limited lead singing. The guys have been pushing "Dust To Dust" a lot because of how well it shows off Pau's skills, but I don't suggest forgetting the other two sisters. Out of the three, eldest sister Dany has the purest singing voice - probably has a lot to do with why she does most of the lead singing. Listening to the studio version of QOTMS one can hear all the different inflections and emotions she puts to her songs. Dany practically becomes the characters that she's singing. On stage Dany is bouncing all over as she sings lead while playing both rhythm and lead guitar parts. Ale? So talented. There's a video out there from like four years back and they're doing a live show for their school. One of their favorite bands is Muse. Muse has that song "Hysteria" with that very strong busy bass line. The Warning covers it and we see little (and I do mean little) 10 year old Ale playing that bass line to perfection. Her Ale stage dance is great. A closer look and one can see that dance is her feeling the music and loving it. Together all three fill a certain role within the band coming together in group with a fantastic product. Thank you for reviewing The Warning and promoting them. I can tell how well you know the business of production music and shows and it's really impressive to see your thoughts on the sisters.
OG-K I really hope you didn't miss the more recent tribute to Ale in this video. I love how her sisters try to get her to sing in the beginning. ;) th-cam.com/video/Ox5SNRoAVSc/w-d-xo.html
All three ladies are adorable off stage, so real and humble and by 'real' I mean not at all contrived or diva-ish, just normal and good hearted people who passionately love what they do and work hard at it! I agree with OG-K that Pau is very technical and business savvy but still can cut up with the best of 'em. Dany is a chameleon who becomes the character and doesn't just sing the lines but she is also an adroit guitarist that understands "it's not the amount of notes you put in but what you chose to leave out."! Her work on "The end" is hauntingly beautiful. and about 'Thunder Girl Ale's bass run on Hysteria: Muse's bassist actually shouted her out on their Twitter site and not too long after 30 sec. to Mars reposted it! No wonder Lizzy Hale jumped into the live chat praising them during their (de) TOUR post! I must agree with Fil that in a time of musical stagnation that these ladies are a breath of fresh air!
I love that! She is usually pretty serious in photos but in that one second she turns and gives that expression and then gets back into the song. The first time I saw the video I had to stop it and go back to see it again.
That Mac not only plays clicktrack and playback, but also the video in the background and the preset in Dani's guitar effect pedal. These girls are sophisticated.
Fil, I've been following these young ladies for 5 years. Believe it or not, every single performance is better than the last! I have seen a lot in my 63 years as a lover of Rock n Roll, but The Warning live is the best show I've ever seen. No opening act and 2+ non-stop hours of pure adrenaline,I've never seen or heard anything like it...ever! 🤘💖🤘 Thanks for the musical education, that as a non musician,I can understand!
This Video is from their November 2018 performance at the Lunario in Mexico City in which they presented their new Album ; Dust to Dust is the prologue to their QOTMS Saga
Thank you all for supporting my Mexicans 🇲🇽 compatriots. In Mexico we love. Rock 🎸 so much!! My self when i used to live in Mexico. I was sang in two. Different band's. In my House my mom and sister's. Brother snd dad and niece's nephew we love rock 🎸
Great reaction Fil. You nailed it on their work ethic. I've never seen anyone work as hard as these girls do. Thank you for plugging their Patreon as well. The way you described them is exactly how I see them. This is the prologue to a concept album called Queen of the Murder Scene. It is NOT your typical "girl band" kind of album. It is quite the opposite.
Very true about singing and drumming. High energy drumming is equivalent low intensity cardio. So it is similar to singing while jogging. You have to be in shape and have great breath control.
Well done, Fil! Jeez, I just love their energy and their KICKASS! These girls take no prisoners. They don't hold back one iota. I was still scared of my shadow at that age, no way could I have done that, tho I loved to sing and was a musician. They just put it all out there, raw emotion, raw energy, for all to see! So revealing!!! That's the scary part... They knock me out. Thanx!!
Something else that makes these sisters amazing is that they're writing their songs and singing them in a foreign language to them. These girls are not just super talented musicians they're also brilliantly intelligent.
Their album, Queen of the Murder Scene is quite varied, being a concept album. They have one song PSYCHOTIC which is very punk rock-like. You will find a version of it on their channel from the same concert (Lunario).
Listen to the entire XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene albums... You'll not regret it! open.spotify.com/album/6nEiN0eM1gbvDsijV46XrX open.spotify.com/album/2kB1Qqw3YOR9i3nbNxXWRs
The way you smile watching these young ladies says all you need to know about them. I’ve been following them since Queen of the Murder Scene and I’m so happy to see them getting recognized by other artists like you. Thank you sir.
Paulina is superb, such a fantastic visual performer too, I wonder who her drumming influences are. Hopefully someone will make a documentary about the group.
Here's a little mini documentary on Paulina (the drummer) th-cam.com/video/RCuQQufncgs/w-d-xo.html IF you search on TH-cam for The Warning out of the basement, you'll get the equivalent videos for each of her sisters as well.
Fil, I CANNOT thank you enough for introducing me to this band. I’ve been enjoying your videos for a long time, just to reminisce and learn the technical background of musicians I’ve loved from the past...but ever since I saw these girls playing Survive in your first video, I’ve been obsessed with this trio from Mexico. It’s not just that they can play - YT is loaded with prodigious kids playing covers - it’s the songwriting that sets them apart. They have enough genuinely good original material to do a nearly 90 minute set...and none of them are 20 years old yet! They are singlehandedly restoring my faith in the future of music.
Nice!!! Welcome to The Warning Army!!! Don't worry, the addiction only gets stronger. From the first video I saw, them covering Metallica's "Enter Sandman", I lost my mind. I know my case is severe, but from that moment til now, I have literally lost interest in everyone else's music. I know it shouldn't be that way, as there is a lot of good music out there, but I can't help it!! I imagine I'll eventually allow someone else's music to enter my ears, as I'm sure The Warning would want it that way. I'm just not ready. The more I listen, the more I like them!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
As for the addiction only getting stronger, it really freaking does. I only discovered them like 4 weeks ago when someone on a 60's/70's/80's Facebook group saw a list of my favourite modern bands and recommended me to The Warning (the same "Survive" video that I recommended to Fil, who reacted to it a couple weeks ago). Initially, I heard the Broadway-esque beginning, and it really turned me off. And even once the rest of the instruments kicked in, I wasn't the biggest fan. I was surprised for sure of their obvious talent, but just wasn't my thing. And I even replied to him like "Oh, yeah. Cool, thanks. I'll check more of their stuff out" with no actual intention to. But then a couple hours later, I decided I'd give their other stuff and I liked every successive track better than the last! And over the span of about 4 weeks, I've totally fallen in love with their music. So, if it wasn't for that guy a month ago, and me deciding to give them even more of a chance, I never would have recommended to Fil to watch the Survive video. And many other people wouldn't have gotten to discover them. So, yeah. The addiction does get stronger... Every second of every day, haha.
Yup, you've been warned!! Welcome to the fold disciple Rob! Strap in, it's gonna be a fun ride! Oh, and they can already fill TWO hours with original material, and keep the house rocking' the entire 120. I've seen it my own damn self, and it was awe-inspiring. \m/ \m/
Rob Sorenson very true! I have been at one of their “full length” shows, and they played for 2 full hours, all originals, all at this energy level. I believe we are watching greatness bloom, and the birth of a legendary band. 🤘🏻
Good choice to analysis when they where younger first then this one! great analysis and break down on these girls and going independent. keep up the great work Fil we love what you do night after night.
Your analysis and breakdown of The Warning shows that you do know the music business and all the details of what it takes to be good and successful. Not much can fly under the radar with you around. 😎
Such a powerful trio, these young ladies truly rock. Love their spirit and the music. Don't overlook Dani's playing she can pick a mean 6 string. Paulina's vocals have matured so much.
I just started watching this band a week ago. They're amazing. I can hear Metallica and Muse in their influences. Some of the vocals remind me of Siouxsie Sioux. Plus they add harmony vocals, which is a lost art. They're all incredible, but I can't think of a more charismatic drummer since Keith Moon. And he was great in The Who (John Entwhistle could do both their job anyway), but she's better than he was technically. There's a reason "Moon the Loon" was a known phrase. They're clearly having a huge amount of fun, which is missing from a lot of creativity today. They're awesome.
Speaking of things going wrong. In a live performance of the song crimson queen, which is an acoustic solo by Dany , the battery died on the acoustic pick up. So Dany did the entire song with no music backing. It was even better than the original in my opinion. P
TW 2018 Gurls were 18, 16, & 13 that did 2nd CD Queen of the Murder Scene. 1st CD 21st Century Blood done n 2017. At 2018 TW is the Best Spanish Lyricists ever! Incredible & mind-blowing, TW is so Great so Young!!
YAAASSSS! I'm so glad you picked this track, Fil! It really is amazing how far The Warning has come in just the last couple short years! Paulina should get an award for her endless energy and tight vocals while playing drums... you definitely nailed it there, as it is really tough to keep your breath control just right to sing and play at the same time, but she already has it down to a science!!!😁 I have both their albums now and Q.O.T.M.S. was sort of a concept album that has this running theme of a very disturbed young girl, not something typically that a young 'girl-band' would put together, but these gals are serious metal rockers and in interviews and such, they still come across as very sweet.🤣 Sorry I didn't comment on the first one you did, as I was pretty sick at the time.😜 This and the powerful ballad by Dany (Crimson Queen), that follows on the album are two of my favorite songs from the whole album!! You might want to consider doing a review on that song to show their softer side.😉 Dany actually switches up and plays acoustic on that one. Let's not forget Alé and her amazing bass lines and harmonies either. She has advanced more than any other member of the band (including in height, LOL!), just in the last year or so.😁 Great review Fil, thanks again!😍👍👍
I'm a fan from New Zealand, of Fil's & of course of "The Warning", Go Mexico!! Note: The Bands' lyric's are raw, deep & powerful, I just love the whole musical family.
Another is Black Holes! Having walked that path of addiction my self I'm flaber gasted that when she wrote this song, Pau was just13! How a 13 year old, well adjusted girl can write so eloquently about the self loathing and desperate loneliness an addict feels and deliver it with such passion in the first person narrative is beyond me! And that song still brings me and many other grown men to tears. especially when Dany holds that high note at the end.
Thanks, Fil. I actually signed up to their Patreon on the same day I suppoted you and as a result of your highlighting them. I can't afford much, but I like the idea of sending a bit of my social security to young talent. A modest way of giving something back for all the enjoyment I get. Maybe more people can give just a little to maintain music originality (like it was in the 60s)
Jim S, As a rabid The Warning fan, I thank you so much for becoming a patron of their's. I have been hopelessly and overwhelmingly addicted to their music for some time now. I never get tired of people announcing they have been WARNED!!! Woo Hoooo!!
They have really matured in their playing. I remember their videos when they were really young. When they were younger, they were good for their age, but they were still kids. This is a new level. Great review. Thanks for another great video.
I liked some of their earlier sounds... They experimented early on, and even had a song that sounded almost country, haha. I'd kinda like to see how they could evolve that sound, but yeah... Definitely improved immensely even since the "Survive" presentation from TedX in 2017!
For a $1 / month on Patreon, you can hear them perform that "country" song and a few other deep cuts from the "vault" as they did a special concert from their basement as tribute to their Patreon faithful. Check it out, you won't regret it!@@Atari-Dude
Thank you, another excellent analysis of this stunningly incredible band. I was at this concert and it was the first time I saw them live and I was totally blown away. The energy that comes from them when they're playing is immense and it was the greatest live performance I'd ever seen. I would highly recommend people check out other songs from this show. Also Fil as you're clearly a fan there are a group of us Brits planning a trip to see them live later this year, you're welcome to join us.
Thanks Matthew! I'm sure they'll make it over here soon, unfortunately with my schedule I don't have a lot of time to do anything other than work and these videos every night! 😅
Fil your reactions are outstanding, I’m a big The Warning fan and I’m quickly becoming a fan of yours. I absolutely love seeing you react to The Warning(would love to see even more), but I also enjoy your other videos, I find them so fascinating.
Thank you fil!! Great review of dust to dust! The Warning is The best power trio of The world!!!! I want to mention that The Warning played at México city. The high level is 2200m over sea!! So Paulina played and sung in an incredible way!!!
Yes these girls are so mature in their showmanship and song material, not to mention musical abilities! So wonderful that they are controlling and carving out their own path to getting their music out there! I think I've already subscribed to their channel after your first video of theirs. It's wonderful too that you as a patreon artist promote other patreon artists on your Channel!.....Thanks Fil!!...✌❤🤘
Thanks a lot for reviewing The Warning again. Their passion, skills, raw energy makes them in my mind the best Band in the world. Amazing to see these young ladies being so skilled with their instruments. I just love their energy etc..Amazing Band. Viva The Warning!
You're right on point Mr ! It's very clear that you really know what you're talking about ! I just wish more people could realize just how amazing this band is, on so many different levels ! They're not just three talanted sisters playing, there's so much thought and hard work behind everything they do ! Everything is done with a purpose, nothing is left to chance ! And note that they are great performers too ! There's one thing to be able to stand on stage sounding good, but it's a whole different thing to be able to put on a show, to entertain the crowd ! And these ladies does that too, despite their young ages ! They are having so much fun performing, and it's really entertaining to watch ! I've had the honour to experience them live 4 times this far, and they're getting better every time ! The sky is the limit for this band !
Man these ladies are loaded with talent! There’s so much energy on stage it’s incredible! Tight as rhythmically and cupelled with amazing vocals! As a trio it’s incredible how full their sound is! Real wow factor! Great analysis Fil! Cheers Mario!😎🤘🤘
Vimeo was the ad before they started playing, from the first one that you analyzed till now, they knock me out! What an adrenaline rush, how can one not get worked up?
Great reaction Fil, thank you!... this was recorded in Mexico City....at 7200ft altitude! I dunno about them but this old geazer woiuld be huffing and puffing with in seconds let alone sing. play the drums, and every thing she does running the show!
I remember seeing their take on Metallica when Ale could only sit to hold her bass. It was just hours after they posted it. I shared it immediately and told my friends to watch them because they were gonna hit the big time fast. As such seeing you analyze their work is a huge thing because our little girls have indeed hit the big time many times over. Keeping their music free from Industry Execs keeps the music as we fans love it. The Music of The Warning. Just like we found their talent so perfect when they covered Metallica...now they are placing their mark on music in their own style making new fans every day. Theybare the best kept secret in music everyone knows about. Thank you FiL for supporting The Warning as you have done here. I as a fan thank you!
The next movement forward for rock. "Nirvanaesque" boldness, resolve. It is catchy but not at all cheesy. Yes Fil, an excellent choice and review. spot on. Scares me how good this band is already.
Robert Hijar I believe we are watching the beginning of a legendary band. They are building that legend, one show at a time. No artificial, bought for media likes. No big machine pushing them forward. Just tremendous musicians, making great music.
Another good example of someone making their own way in music is an Israeli lass named Meytal Cohen - she and her band, Meytal, have released a couple of fan-funded CD’s now and some pretty good quality videos too.
Once again, an insightful review from someone who knows what he is talking about. This song is the introduction to a concept album of 13 songs, the genesis of which dates right back to 2015 from ideas in a notebook penned by Pau. The album really needs to be heard in its entirety, but each song can stand on it's own and there are some very different styles in there to surprise you - ballads, heavy rock, one that is almost punk rock. Incidently, Pau does not need a clicktrack to keep time - obviously it's there to keep all of them in time. The reason I say that is a professional drummer I know, watching the video of their cover of Everlong, stated, "She's a clock. Amazing timing". She was 13 at the time. th-cam.com/video/yv8w2cjTYaU/w-d-xo.html
Hi, Fil. I think it's time for another analysis video of The Warning, don't you think? I know The Warning Army would love to see it and so would Dany, Pau, and Ale. Here's my suggestion, their first song in Spanish, "Narcisista." This performance at Foro DiDi from a month ago was when they released the track, the first time performed in public. The song is their response to people in Mexico who criticize them for writing their songs in English. Hope you can do this one, Fil!
That's awesome kingstew!! You will wear that thing out as that whole album is full of catchy hooks, great riffs and amazing drum fills and a rhythm duo second to none in Ale & Pau. And Dany does a helluva job with a pretty wide vocal range throughout the varied collection of songs, especially at what? 16?? Heady stuff if you ask me! Enjoy!
Yeah, I read that too fast and thought he meant XXICB. She was 16 when that was recorded. I certainly know how old they are. 19 years and almost 2 months!? :-)@@MG-cx7fd
Hey Fil! I guess that you will have to react to a lot more from that album, as it was just announced that the album "Queen Of The Murder Scene" is one of the five finalists in the category: “Rock/Hard Rock - Album of the year” for the upcoming prestigious 17th Independent Music Awards (IMA) ceremony, which will take place in New York City this coming June!! Entries to be eligible for such an award come from nearly 100 countries on 6 continents!! The World will be Warned!!😁🤘😉
Wow!! I'm a fan. What a kick ass performance. And they can write. Great comments. And Kudos to you for bringing them into the light a little more. They deserve it. Way talented!...Paul
Fil, Great Reaction... I am so glad you took the suggestion from myself and all The Warning fans and reviewed Dust to Dust. Your comments are spot on (as always) Since your reaction to "Survive" I have been following you and have watched quite a few or your reactions videos and I have to say you are the most knowledgeable reactor I have seen to date. You do a Great Job and I learn something with every one of your videos. Back to The Warning, You nailed it with your comments on song writing. The latest album is a concept album which tells a dark story of a girl's infatuation, stalking, and decent into madness and murder. "Queen of the Murder Scene" is worth a listen from start to finish. The song writing is phenomenal and even more amazing when you consider their ages. At the time of this concert they were 18, 16, & 13. "Dust to Dust" is the opening track and prologue to remaining twelve tracks . These 12 tracks are separated into 4 chapters of 3 tracks each. You can find two more high quality tracks from this concert available on The Warning's You tube Channel. Hopefully they will release some additional live tracks from this concert. The girls put on a great show and the crowd was really into it. Chapter One: Track 2: Crimson Queen - th-cam.com/video/N0MJXxfcKEQ/w-d-xo.html Track 3: Ugh - th-cam.com/video/aHUz9dR3gwg/w-d-xo.html Thank you again for your reaction and promoting The Warning and their Patreon page.
many moons ago I saw Girlschool backing up for Rush in Germany about '82. I'd never heard of them prior and they were really good. Now I have to look up what they've gone...
Thank you again for the great reaction. I can guess from all the comments the supportive feed back you must be getting. I just want to add. For a lot of us The Warning are bringing rock n' roll back, as well as exposing many young people to just great music. I hope that you will continue reacting to them. Maybe hi-lighting there ability to write such as there second album being a concept album.
Man I like this group! A very tight sound, talent to burn and they know how to rock the stage! Thanks for introducing we previously oblivious ones Fil! Rock!
Great review, your analysis is on the spot, like the way you see all the technicality of what the do in there performance, thanks for the reaction if this excelent band 👍
What an amazing band, and what a great job to promote their efforts, all of them. You really do them justice and you have such an eye for detail. Thanks.
They are able to bring through the passion of music as an art. Impressive at this age. That the drummer can belt out her vocals without being out of breath reflects her cardiovascular/pulmonary fitness. What kind of bass is that? I couldn't tell. Thanks for your hard work, Rock! (Yeah I am happy to see an all female band!)
Ok. Sinester Smile, Stalker, The One, Red Hands Never Fade. The live from Lunario is the best quality of sound. They are also the page of The Warning. Thanks again.
Indeed, they all sound great, but you gotta love how prominent Ale's bass riffs are in both The One and The Sacrifice. Love how her playing helps give their music such a full and robust sound...and boy does that bass push out some serious BOOM when you see them live!!
@@jbartyparty7398 Unfortionally Ale doesn't show as much in the official videos but on this one th-cam.com/video/AX-CB1RAQ_Q/w-d-xo.html you can tell she adds a lot more than just the sound of her bass. You have to consider this is the final act in a 2 hour performance. Too bad it's phone recording but it works for me since it's "just" a cover. ;)
Fil, this band is great! Your take on them is wonderful. Your take on them may, possibly be the more important part. The "props" you see and acknowledge is perfect. I'm a 64 yr old dude and a band of this age will most likely fly beneath my radar, except for a site like yours. My own daughter is 36 years old, so maybe you can forgive me if I refer to these women as girls. Singing and playing drums: f*ck me! I've mentioned before that I am not a musician. From 4th grade (not sure how that translates to the English system) 9 yrs old I played drums in the school band, moving to bass drum to cymbals (where I flourished!) but never being able to grasp the traps. This girl is spectacular! And the rest...I can't comment, other than to say I'm impressed. In our society, boy bands seem to get the most attention, but girls are approximately 50% of the population and are certainly worth our attention. Perhaps it's interest level. Maybe boys are more interested in communicating via music and that may explain it, but you don't discount the girls who have something to say! So, good on you!
And again a professionally good analysis! You notice your profound expertise with every word, it's a joy to follow... You will also be able to speak to me full of my soul: The Warning is an excellent band with great potential for the future. Many greetings from Germany!
@@wingsofpegasus I follow a large number of reaction/analysis channels and I must say that you clearly top them all. You know your stuff and are able to teach us a lot. Comments are always on point. All the best in your own carreer. Cheers!
It's right here in the bridge soliloquy, words of wisdom and truth: "Let your hand go of this resentment and wake up a new light inside yourself. Even though your brothers try to bring you down into the darkness." Was this for real written by a 14/15 y/o teenager??! Heady stuff, and something we can all apply to our lives. Thanks again Fil for all that you do and have done for TW. Sincerely, TWA!! \m/
jbarty party that passage was written by their mother (according to the band, via a vlog on Patreon). She also gets credit for changing a lyric in another song, when the girls heard her singing the wrong lyrics. They actually went back into the studio, and rerecorded the song lyrics. The rest of the album, in its entirety, was written by the band (music and lyrics).
They are very talented musicians. I stumbled onto them doing a Metallica song when the bassist was 8 and the drummer 10. They have quickly become a band whose progress I'm very interested in. Both of your videos about them are very good. Well done.
Boy, that bass line sure is the backbone of this band.
A little backstory to this song - The album Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album which tells the story of an obsessed young woman who stalks and murders the man of her fantasies. Dany’s scream at the end is the QotMS dying, which leads us back to the first track to Start Again! The cycle of Dust to Dust - as described by Dany & Pau on their TH-cam Video Blog release.
It’s astonishing that Paulina wrote most of the lyrics at around 15 yrs old!!
I think the preacher is an ode to Pink Floyd
As a drummer/singer, I can tell you that it is not easy doing that.
Especially if she is using a DBL bass pedal and the hi-hats
You're using all four of your limbs at once and singing.
Your brain is working at levels beyond what anyone else in the band is using!
Thanks Fil for posting this!
Rock On!
The drummer Pau is a force of nature.
She’s freaking amazing. She bleeds talent.
Never mind the other band members, her brain has to perform beyond that of most people doing most anything.
There's a reason many call her Pau the Shredder ;)
In an interview she said she only sings a few songs because it's so exhausting.
Girl band eeeck!!! These girls are blowing me away. Got me nodding my head and foot tapping. That doesn't happen to me much anymore. Refreshing. 😎
These girls are BADASS. They’re already in my Apple Music library. They all look and sound fantastic. This is rock n roll
it's amazing how Paulina can do hour long shows drumming with that intensity while singing. that's why in their vlogs when they talk about how they're doing (usually after a show) she often says she's exhausted. and if u see both of their TEDTalks appearances, when it's her turn to talk to the crowd she's out of breath. she uses so much energy but during her performances she always plays with nuclear power from beginning to end. it's really a sight to behold

👍
I have only recently learnt of these young ladies , and I can tell you if I had the cash I would book flights and accommodation to travel from Australia to a concert city in either the America‘s or Europe.
I hope you get a chance to see them in the UK in June!!!!
I've been invited to see them in 2 days time 🙂
Not only is Paulina a great talent on the stage, if one takes time watching their public persona Pau behaves like she has a good grasp on the business side of the music industry.
Yeah they're really switched on about the industry side of things which is a rare thing in musicians!
OG-K I really hope you didn't miss the more recent tribute to Ale in this video. I love how her sisters try to get her to sing in the beginning. ;)
th-cam.com/video/Ox5SNRoAVSc/w-d-xo.html
OG-K Beautifully Said my friend!!!
QOTMS should be on Broadway, what a Rock Opera!!!!
Bought their albums on itunes after you covered them on your first video.
Cool!
Remember the look when at the break when Pau turns back and looks at the crowd with that smile the look of a rock star 🤘🇨🇱😎 at 7 11
🤘
I love that! She is usually pretty serious in photos but in that one second she turns and gives that expression and then gets back into the song. The first time I saw the video I had to stop it and go back to see it again.
She has lots of expressions. It's the look in her eyes of pure determination. Like she's putting her heart and soul in to it
That Mac not only plays clicktrack and playback, but also the video in the background and the preset in Dani's guitar effect pedal.
Thanks for the musical education, that as a non musician,I can understand!
Cool!
Well said Greg
These kids could take that around the world and people would be entertained.
Wow they are amazing! They'll leave their mark because they have that certain thing- terrific!
Great video and The Warning are amazing. This song has a "System of a Down" vibe all over it.
This Video is from their November 2018 performance at the Lunario in Mexico City in which they presented their new Album ; Dust to Dust is the prologue to their QOTMS Saga
👍
This girls rock!!! Thanks for introducing this Mexican rockers! They come a long way from that Metallica cover that make them what they are today!
Look the Atlas Rise cover from the Whisky a Go Go by The Warning after two hours of show. 🔥🎸🔥

Thanks for this !!!!!
🤩🤩🤩
Gotha Gilberto they appreciate your support
Cool!
Very good amigo. For support. The warning 🇲🇽 The best girl's band in the last 20 Years Gracias
👍
Best new Rock band for sure! So talented.
Very true about singing and drumming. High energy drumming is equivalent low intensity cardio. So it is similar to singing while jogging. You have to be in shape and have great breath control.
👍
We're so lucky to see these girls at this age, watching them evolve and gain that experience will be fun to see. They will famous for sure!!!
Thanx!!

They have great confidence in themselves it shows
They have great confidence in themselves it shows
I love these girls! But one day Pau is going to fly away with all that energy! Keep on rocking ladies! Much love from the USA
I love the drummer...she's solid
👍
@@wingsofpegasus me too
Fil, your reaction is just the best in class! You see things from many other angles. Great 👍🏻 great song, great reaction.
Thanks Peter!
Something else that makes these sisters amazing is that they're writing their songs and singing them in a foreign language to them. These girls are not just super talented musicians they're also brilliantly intelligent.
pretty heavy stuff, i like . thumbs up for the warning
👍
I am 58 and I guess a old punk at heart, never heard them, they are so fun and good. 👍
Their album, Queen of the Murder Scene is quite varied, being a concept album. They have one song PSYCHOTIC which is very punk rock-like. You will find a version of it on their channel from the same concert (Lunario).
I downloaded Dust to Dust and Survive right after I watched your video, amazing! These girls are well on their way, and on their own terms!!

1:20 Paulina effortlessly fixes her mic without missing one beat... Wow!
👍
i am always happy to see young musician they so talented...
Pretty groovy ladies. I like them
The way you smile watching these young ladies says all you need to know about them. I’ve been following them since Queen of the Murder Scene and I’m so happy to see them getting recognized by other artists like you. Thank you sir.
Paulina is superb, such a fantastic visual performer too, I wonder who her drumming influences are. Hopefully someone will make a documentary about the group.
Here's a little mini documentary on Paulina (the drummer) th-cam.com/video/RCuQQufncgs/w-d-xo.html
IF you search on TH-cam for The Warning out of the basement, you'll get the equivalent videos for each of her sisters as well.
Chris Gibbs she idolizes Peart, of Rush. But she is a voracious consumer of all kinds of music.
👍
👍
Good choice to analysis when they where younger first then this one! great analysis and break down on these girls and going independent. keep up the great work Fil we love what you do night after night.
Thanks Drew!
This band wails, man. Love their energy and tone!
🤘
Your analysis and breakdown of The Warning shows that you do know the music business and all the details of what it takes to be good and successful. Not much can fly under the radar with you around. 😎
Such a powerful trio, these young ladies truly rock. Love their spirit and the music. Don't overlook Dani's playing she can pick a mean 6 string. Paulina's vocals have matured so much.
👍
Fil, I miss your videos! Life is happening and not the good stuff. I LOVE these young rock chicks! Thank you for reviewing them. 💖
Ree McLaughlin 😯 I hope things get better for ya
I feel ya, keep the faith, everything will be ok and solid for you again, trust me... Prayers.....
Yes Ree, I understand, been there too hun! My favorite mantra in tough times is "this too shall pass". Prayers for you as well....✌❤🤘😁
Try a little dose of Chris Stapleton he might help
No problem! Hope it all gets sorted out!
Damn good drumming
👍
Speaking of things going wrong. In a live performance of the song crimson queen, which is an acoustic solo by Dany , the battery died on the acoustic pick up. So Dany did the entire song with no music backing. It was even better than the original in my opinion. P
TW 2018 Gurls were 18, 16, & 13 that did 2nd CD Queen of the Murder Scene. 1st CD 21st Century Blood done n 2017. At 2018 TW is the Best Spanish Lyricists ever! Incredible & mind-blowing, TW is so Great so Young!!
🤘
BRAVO!
No problem Dan!
I'm a fan of Brazil. My favorite song is Sinister Smile.
As meninas são incríveis. Muito talento, carisma e humildade.
Glad to have in you The Warning Army!!
@@Terry_Lacy So thrilled to be there 😁
Jim S, As a rabid The Warning fan, I thank you so much for becoming a patron of their's. I have been hopelessly and overwhelmingly addicted to their music for some time now. I never get tired of people announcing they have been WARNED!!! Woo Hoooo!!
@@jafquist27 Definitely my pleasure. I can't get over the quality of the original writing
Cool! Thanks Jim!
Great show! Incredible energy and personality..... I love the drummer!! Unprecedented show-womenship!!🤘🏻
👍

Well said!
Thanks!
Thank you fil!! Great review of dust to dust! The Warning is The best power trio of The world!!!! I want to mention that The Warning played at México city. The high level is 2200m over sea!! So Paulina played and sung in an incredible way!!!
👍
Yes these girls are so mature in their showmanship and song material, not to mention musical abilities! So wonderful that they are controlling and carving out their own path to getting their music out there! I think I've already subscribed to their channel after your first video of theirs. It's wonderful too that you as a patreon artist promote other patreon artists on your Channel!.....Thanks Fil!!...✌❤🤘
Amen!
No problem Lori!
Yeah, I thought they were a lot older because of how mature they seem!!
I forgot to mention, that first performance you reacted to was early 2017, this one late 2018. It's a pretty rapid progression they are making.
👍
Thanks a lot for reviewing The Warning again. Their passion, skills, raw energy makes them in my mind the best Band in the world. Amazing to see these young ladies being so skilled with their instruments. I just love their energy etc..Amazing Band. Viva The Warning!
Dust to dust Fil you came through for me. Thanks

I definitely smell something cooking they got all the ingredients there
Great insight! I love the smile that breaks out over your face when you are digging something!

I can/could relate & empathize. They make me smile 😁 every time I listen to them.
Hey man, thank you for introducing me to this amazing band. Keep on rocking.
No problem!
👍
These girls are ruling the world one day!....
That day is here
Paulina is genius!! In fact they are all very very talented individually.. they r already Born Star! a new dimension....

Great reaction Fil, thank you!... this was recorded in Mexico City....at 7200ft altitude! I dunno about them but this old geazer woiuld be huffing and puffing with in seconds let alone sing. play the drums, and every thing she does running the show!
Amazing! Thank You, Dear Fil! Paulina gets a full-body aerobic workout, and she sings through it. Mind-boggling! ❤️

I saw the previous video about this band and went ahead and purchased their new album. They sound awesome. Thanks for the intro to them.
Enjoy!
@@jbartyparty7398 Dany is 19 years old.

Great review FIL, you're spot on. In my opinion, The Warning is the greatest band in the world and we are witnessing something special.
Wow!!

They are able to bring through the passion of music as an art. Impressive at this age. That the drummer can belt out her vocals without being out of breath reflects her cardiovascular/pulmonary fitness. What kind of bass is that? I couldn't tell. Thanks for your hard work, Rock!
Too bad it's phone recording but it works for me since it's "just" a cover. ;)
I loved this!
Pau is realy on the ball with everything she does even to adjusting her mic when it slips
Thanks! ☺
Thank you Fil. Great review! Great great great Band!
And again a professionally good analysis! You notice your profound expertise with every word, it's a joy to follow... You will also be able to speak to me full of my soul: The Warning is an excellent band with great potential for the future. Many greetings from Germany!
Thanks!
@@wingsofpegasus I follow a large number of reaction/analysis channels and I must say that you clearly top them all. You know your stuff and are able to teach us a lot. Comments are always on point. All the best in your own carreer. Cheers!
@@welldonn5987 Amen to that Donn!
Indeed!
🤘
jbarty party that passage was written by their mother (according to the band, via a vlog on Patreon). She also gets credit for changing a lyric in another song, when the girls heard her singing the wrong lyrics. They actually went back into the studio, and rerecorded the song lyrics. The rest of the album, in its entirety, was written by the band (music and lyrics).
Loved your reaction can you react to narsisista by the warning it's in Spanish their 1st song in Spanish but I'm sure you will like it 🤘
Frank Jimenez - Yup, that’s a high energy jam. I’ve read the translation and have even more respect for the way they take no crap from their critics.
They are very talented musicians. I stumbled onto them doing a Metallica song when the bassist was 8 and the drummer 10. They have quickly become a band whose progress I'm very interested in. Both of your videos about them are very good. Well done.
Anger in the blood. I like these girls . 🌶🌶🌶
