Hey everyone! At 08:23 the noise you see is the ugly TH-cam compression. Not noise. Notice how the image is blocky, not grainy :) So sorry about this, you might even notice it in some other shots too!
@Julian Tucker A "stop" is a unit of exposure. Over exposing by 2 stops means he made his footage brighter than is traditionally considered "correct" but because of how S-Log works, he is able to get an even cleaner image once he readjusts exposure in post. ISO 640 is the "native iso" for S-Log 3 which is where the camera gives the best dynamic range and noise performance

Sony a7siii is the best camera I’ve ever owned. I cant believe how crazy good it is. If there’s a better camera out there I haven’t seen it yet

Fun Fact: That blue line on the ground at the Salt Flats is a course marker for Bonneville Speedway and cars use that line to stay in the center of the lane on a timed mile course at speeds over 400MPH! That ground is legendary, to say the least.
If I was not so invested in MFT Glass I'd really consider this Sony camera. I'd be interested in what you think about the new DJI gimbals and the LIDAR follow focus system that makes manual vintage as well as manual cinema lenses auto-focus capable. It would be great to see Zhiyun implement a LIDAR system compatible with their impressive line of gimbals. Thanks for posting these videos. Last thought, would you ever consider making a video on how you process the log footage you capture showing step by step how your choices of iso, f-stop, and ND filters get you to the end look you were going after when you plan a shoot.

Nice video! Subbed! Not hating at all just curious but I'm not so sure if I like your color grading on most of those clips that aren't the ungraded footage. Was there a specific look you were going for? They look kind of dark and dirty to me. Maybe like some kind of old film stock? Or was that just what the conversion lut looked like with minimal tweaking?

think it's the BTS(behind the scenes) camera, he listed it in description, insta360, it also has that cellphone/gopro look with everything in focus
I'm not the only one in love with this camera. I've been testing it for a couple of months thanks to Sony Latin and can't tell how happy I am.
By the way, I own CFexpress cards and I can tell you that they are great only for shooting in ALL-I to process the footage faster when editing because of that less-compressed codec but man, my hard drives are full already because of that 😅

yes
for photography absolutely, but video is a mixed bag with only 4k24/30 delivering great quality,,,,, there's no 4k60 & HD is just regular full frame quality no downsampling like in a7siii, so it all depends on your needs

I have a few Sigma Art lenses. I use them with my A7III and A7SIII. Great image quality, slower, less accurate, sometimes jumpy continuous focus compared to GMaster- especially in low light. I generally use the GMaster for continuous focus. When I manually pull focus the Sigmas are the best.

What do you think about the Sony A7c?
A7c is pretty much like A7iii but with small view finder & new selfie screen, great for gimbal work as it's compact & weighs similar to a6600
Hi from Calabasas. I saw you some time ago at Costco Gas in Woodland Hills but didn't say anything. I got the A7siii as well, but not as stoked as most creators on YT. The best hybrid cam (video & photo) and bang for the buck is still the A7iii for me, even though the a7siii has way better features and colors for video, but it's also twice the price. - Funny, I was at the lake bad in SLC on Monday, same spot I guess. - If you're interested let's have a chat, maybe shot something together.. -Jens
Hello! I have a little problem. Crane 3 LAB will not rotate focus and zoom. i did the firmware but it doesn't work again. Before the update, everything worked. Is there a way to reset the settings?

Great informations. How do you expose in really low light situations? If i expose two stops higher (as recommended) , the footage is to bright in order to the conditions.

Yeah, I overexpose by two stops and that seems to be working well!
Can we use 60fps 10 bit in h.265 with proxy using v30 card ??
I have a question? I have the a7siii and when I take pictures on the monitor looks perfect but when I take it to lightroom it looks dark why?
Turn off DRO or use Capture One.
you monitor might be set to max brightness, also try histogram on camera (press "DISP")

I actually see a lot of grain at 5:40
I’d be scared of all the salt and any humidity or dew would cause a problem with camera
That's why these cameras are weather sealed!
im more paranoid when using lenses with extending tubes, prefer internal enclosed zoom lenses

What would be the differences/limitations between shooting
Lexar Professional 1667X 128GB SDXC UHS-II Card V60
or
Lexar Professional 2000x 128GB SDXC UHS-II Card V90
I heard you can shoot 4k 120fps with V60,
V60 are A LOT cheaper,

Well, I know the answer to that.
V60 will let you shoot XAVC-S up to 120fps 10 bit 4:2:2
V90 will let you shoot XAVC-S-I 24p up to 60p.

I am in a same boat. Who has the money left after the big purchase right? I am recording onto V30 Sandisk card for standard 4K 10bit 4:2:2 up to 60P, which is very cheap. And I change my card to Sony V60 SD card when I need 120P. All is well. I am super tempted to buy CFexpress just for that 240P slow-mo. The price of the card reader is holding me back.
@Mr. SUGOROCK hear you, was in same dilemma but finally pulled the trigger - it's cool seeing 500mb/s transfers from CFexpress card to pc, fyi 240 quality is noticeably poor I would rather stick with 120 hd or 4k, also looking at various comparisons all-i doesn't seem to provide much noticeable visual improvement 😞 need to test it myself

Just buy the sigma 24 70 2.8 than zeis 24-70 f4
sigma is nearly double the weight vs zeiss, it's a big deal for gimbal work, sony70-200f4 is similar weight as sigma24-70f2.8 😱

I would strong suggest against Lexar. So many problems with them. Stick to prograde or sony tough.
