So consistent! Bonus points for mentioning "try to replace their spot". Excellent narrative and super informative. Beautiful technique with a nice use of momentum. I am always amazed at the footage collection you have accumulated.
Thank you for the support :) I try my best to show sparring so people believe. It is all about confidence, especially when I first started learning clinch, I only learned it seeing it with zero resistance so it was difficult to grasp how all the sweeps worked! Even sometimes now, it surprises me how these sweeps can throw your partner in the air!
Great video. I only started working the clinch in sparring after about 15 months in into training and thought, THIS IS MUAY THAI! Gotta love high kicks releasing from the clinch, such a vulnerable range during the fight!
Amazing, you teach techniques so well. Now that I am coaching kickboxing I am observing how martial arts are taught and you really do a good job showing the details, setups and I like how you show when a technique doesn't work and how you should follow up anyway. keep up the amazing work
Hey Jeff, great video! Can you please make a video on altering the Thai clinch to work more effectively in an MMA setting (I.e. avoiding takedowns from the clinch etc)? Ive been having some trouble importing my clinching skills from Muay Thai into an MMA setting and would love to hear your thoughts
It would be great if you could do one video on catching your opponent's bicep and then throwing them down from a clinch like you did in the first section.
I think this Looks really great and I would wanna try IT but I have one Problem with it. I don't know to get the Clinch underhook. When I try to get in I get Push kicked
@PaMuShin Im already training fighting guy and have a fight scheduled what are you on about and Mr. Chan is a great teacher of course he spars all his students stop hating bc you dont have the guts to step in a gym and train instead stay on your couch eating potato chips and oreos guy
My clinch has been getting better. Strangley enough, BJJ has been helping me with it
Cheers!!
Makes sense. Training in BJJ or any other grappling sport should help with touch and sensitivity, or 'feeling out' the other person.
Try judo, mix very well with thai clinch.

Do a video for entering the clinch
Why you don't fight anymore?
They don’t pay enough compared to what I do coaching online/making content and honestly I don’t like fighting, I love being a martial artist tho!
Happy Saturday 😁
happy Saturday!!
my friends won’t stand a chance when they hug me
I just bought a punching pad to improve my defense, should I ( the one wearing the pads) keep up with the punches or the other guy keep up with me
Both should be working together. Takes 2 to tango !
