Top level quality vid as always. No other person, pro or otherwise simplifies such complex concepts. Also at 5:27. The girl in the back ground with the hijab casually throwing a question mark kick, miss, to in instant high side kick. What a sequence!
been learning Jeff Chans tips for a good 4 years now and i can tell they helped me ALOT. İm currently training mma and when i become succesful its mostly because of channels like FighTİPS, Gabriel Varga and Jeff Chan. Thanks alot man and keep it up!
So crisp and clean! These are all so well executed. I really like that first guy in sequence #5. So many great teaching points and tips in this one. I usually avoid ankle picks, I am often just too small/light to get the required push to the upper body. It ends up being all ankle because I just cant get over there enough, I always feels like my head could hit the wall at any time😂. Really nice examples, always impressive.
Excellent bro 👊💪👍 I was always a really good striker but now I'm 41 and learning to up my wrestling and ground game (cause it's equally important) since I can't do what I did with 20' and 30'. So that's my advice to everyone who is in martial arts. Don't rely only on one part of martial arts, try to be well rounded with skills because for what ever reason you will need more skills... Of course that's if you want to be a martial artist your whole life.
Dagestani handcuff is super useful. Jeff shows it here against the cage, but it also is viable with a takedown in space that leads to half guard. Got a question for you on the high crotch + running the pipe takedown against the cage. Do you prefer a head inside or head outside? [EDIT] - One additional thing about the high crotch for people who might not be aware - keep the hand snaking around the back of the leg on top when clasping your arms. If they try to yank your arm up, your arms go higher up into the crotch. If the front arm is on top, that upward yank by the defender will lead to an arm popping free.
Sup bro! All the way from New Zealand here, thought you’d like to know this dude who just started at our mma gym said he wanted to do it cause he follows your page, I was like hey I follow him too! Haha good shit man !
Please make a video on how to do an outside leg trip safely and properly (and what not to do). I can't imagine the number of people who will watch this and blow out their partners' knees because they didn't learn important details.
Cage wrestling is based more on cardio and strength. Guys who could never take me down in the open can score on the cage. That’s why it’s important not to get backed up.
Hey Jeff, Nice video man! I have a question that might be a little weird. But i am new to combat sports like mma and have to learn alot. I am 6'1 205 pounds and struggle alot especially vs smaller opponents. Do you have any advice for a bigger opponent sparring a smaller opponent?
Great video, I’ve always wondered how guys like Khabib and Islam are so consistent with takedowns. Also I liked those “(insert professional fighter)’s 5 best tactics” videos. Any chance of those returning? There’s been a ton of new technical fighters (Alex Pereira, Leon Edwards, Ilia Topuria, Jonathan Haggerty etc.).
Most gyms don’t have a dedicated program for MMA. It’s usually a competition class for people who know both striking and grappling. So Try to do a striking discipline and grappling, then try to just mix it up yourself via sparring! Add in cage wrestling,m and ground and pound
What country are you in? Almost every country has some martial arts training they can do to translate into mma (Russia/Middle East has wrestling, Brazil has kickboxing and BJJ, most of west Asia has Judo/karate/sanda).
Hello jeff, every time I attempt a takedown I always have this fear of being standing guillotined, any advice? What should my head position be, where should it be and etc?
yo Jeff ,, me and my friend are 16-17 Years old ,,play random wrestling.. we 💯have no coach we only watch youtube and re do the moves at a random place near by . we make sure that we don’t get hurt ,, is it possible that we send u a couple of videos to react to ?! ether ways we like ur channel , we watch ur videos a-lot .. all love 🙌❤

Thanks I try :)

Cage wrestling is the cheat code to modern MMA.

I dont have any experience. Which of these would you reccomend in a relatively tight space
Very nice!
Thank you!!!!
I genuinely believe that Jeff can beat most current UFC featherweights
That means a lot! Thank you! Featherweight is too heavy for me though haha
@@MMAShredded I reckon you could give Chito or Song a challenge at the very least.
Hello Jeff! Was just wondering what should I learn first to defend myself in the streets? Boxing?
Probably yes!
Nice 👍👍👍
Thanks !
Please do more Jeet Kune Do videos. They're WAY TO USEFUL to me. Love u bro 💪
Cheers!
Hey Jeff, will this be included in your MMA Go program in the future?
Can u make a video on how to start doing mma if someone doesn't have a mma gym in their city(BTW love the vids ❤)
