4:20 You dont want the station as close as you can to the end destination. You want it as far as possible to make more money.
Nuh uh. The point is not to make money, thats super easy to get near unlimited supply, the point is faster delivery time = more city growth. Money is near infinite, city growth is not. You gotta prioritise.

@@Htchhgjhhchc45 answer - all of them. Every train is perfect for one specifc thing. Eg you wouldnt use a p36 for a shunting job but its perfect for a cross map cross country / bullet when unlocked and then relegated to intercity later on

I’m 71 have played many games including Skyrim and Fallout 4 but this game has me stumped I can’t get the transport going it’s a shame these games have no tutorials

The part from 17:05 to 17:28 on setting stops for the train reminds of the way you can set them up OpenTTD (Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe). Not sure if you’ve played that game but, setting the route seems similar such as, adding the fourth stop at Benalmádena.
So the route is:
1) Alhaurím dè la Torre
2) Benalmádena
3) Torrenolinos
4) Benalmádena

Cities player, just watched this and amazed at how good it looks and the support for custom content ❤... As this is on discount I might spend a tenner and give it a go. Does it get boring quick? I played the original on PC but found it a bit too finicky

On console u need to go next and put custom settings on disables achievements and trophies but from there u can select all trains and a multiple other settings xbox user here

Hey newmansk. Press roads, go to the last option on the right, traffic lights, zoom in on one you want to remove. Then press on it. Note 90% of junctions are smoother with traffic lights, which is why you should check out this video that explains it. th-cam.com/video/YTGa7u2pzUc/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for this video. I'm pretty new to this game, PC player. Of course the button presses noted are for console players.
As I have started at 1900 the options of airplanes, hovercraft are not there yet. I kinda like seeing history pass, in terms of transport types.
When you placed your cargo train station in Siero would it not have been preferred to have placed it more to the left, further away from the residential area..? I'm just thinking about emissions, the noise penalty that can be pretty high. Placing it to the lest would have been in the midst of both industrial and commercial area.
Does the same not apply with passenger rail stations or other forms of high speed hubs..? Meaning using buses to move people to a slightly distanced station that isn't too close to where people live to avoid too much noise, is that relevant over convenience..? They would then use two transport types, maybe the bus could be a loss leader, as such.
Do you need to think about using buses to take people to the shops, commercial, and work, industrial, to keep private vehicle use to a minimum..?

Hey morgan, this being a beginner tutorial i played on the absolute easiest settings as to not worry about emissions but you are totally correct. You should truck it in from outskirts to a station half and half in industrial and commercial. Absolutely need bus routes to different districts in the city - bare minimum 2 bus routes that follow the same path in opposite directions 1 stop in each central zone. In terms of passenger depends what you want to do. There are 4 types of trains. Commuter, a train stopping at every city even the tiny ones. Express / intercity, a commuter train but has no stopping at the really small ones so skips them. Cross country / bullet which is a train that only stops at the hugest cities - this is often not appropriate as a huge map is needed for these trains to have enough distance to cover to reach top speed. There's also light rail but we dont need to get into that as its a begineers tutorial. That said, a commuter and express station (you should group these together on the same track) is ok sometimes in the city limits, depending on specific circumstance. a huge station is doable but not the meta in game. A lot of this stuff is circumstancial though so get yourself on the discord in the description so you can share some screenshots and me and my community can help you out.

You cannot get steam mods on console edition unfortunately.

You can't. Console only comes with urban games built in mods. Sorry if that caused confusion

How do you get mods on the Console Edition?
There are vanilla mods and you can get DLC mods in consoles. Steam mods are PC only for now.

I'll get this game. I'm usually pirating these kind of games to see what they're about but I have some money to burn so might as well just buy it right away. Tbh I only pirate games to see if they're fun, I'm in no way pirating them permanently, if I don't like the game I just remove it. But than if I like it I'll just buy it, coz usually pirate version is outdated like alot. Why I do that is coz 2hours is WAY to little bit of time to see if it's a yay or nay
