You can also put this in any container and it will work in 20 seconds. I used a rubbermaid container and it worked perfectly. I also hear you can do this with a jar. As long as the garlic is bouncing up and down against something it will work.

I use a similar method but easier. I put the garlic cloves in a jar and shake. The force is more concentrated and it works line magic.

I love the method new to me. However you do tend to carry on.How long would it take to do a 5min. video. Thank you, a very good piece of knowledge.

Thank you very much for this amazing tip!
It used to take me almost five minute to peel just one clove of garlic... lol
I also use the glass jar method as other people have suggested.

Most people do not know that if you put the whole head of garlic in a jar and shake, it will separate the cloves. Then the jar can also be used afterwards to take the skins of the individual cloves.

Yep, it works. I use metal bowls that are fitting. Besides, I fry the peels, sprinkle a little salt and eat it with Alcoholic Beverages.

Man, I've been using this trick for so long. It shouldn't take you 4 and half minute to peel them off. You took all the fun out of it. 😂😂😂😂 5 seconds my ass

A 5 minute video to show you a 5 second task? Smash the whole bulb and throw it all into the bowls and shake the crap out of it. Pull the cleaned cloves out and MT the bowl into the trash. How long did that take me - 5 minutes?

  • @Arrowpointingright

4:28 Minutes of video for a 5 second trick.
Can someone please link this video in the wikipedia page for redundancy?

A large jar with a lid works too. Same thing for peeling hard boiled eggs; but you'll need a cup of water when you do eggs.

You don't need to use 2 mixing bowls for this 'trick'. You can do it with a jar. I think using a silicon tube may be even more effective though.

Ribbon H. Maybe too heavy? I used 2 sandwich containers (smaller and lighter) and shook as hard as I could since I don't have much strength. It worked like a charm! :)

Try a jar with the lid on. It's easy peasy and you can put the whole head of garlic in it (if the jar is large enough, and it separates the cloves, then take the loose skins out and put the cloves back in and it takes the skins off of them.
