People complain he's like Batman because he's brooding Oliver in the show: *only broods during dark moments, cracks jokes at his team's expense a lot, snarks a lot* Batman overall: *doesn't know how to crack a joke*
Understand I’m no therapist, but from my past experiences recovering from psychological issues (long story I don’t feel like getting into in a YT comment section) It kinda seems like his humor was his coping mechanism in S1, and as he slowly heals and opens up to people, a side effect is that we see more of his pain and anger and less of his humor, which is why we see less of said humor in later seasons
