Thank you for mentioning the hoodie skin pack for the justice league in smallville it’s the first thing I notice anytime I see a post with one of them 💀
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen was my real first introduction into DC and fully getting into it, Arrow will always be one of my favorite shows ever and fully prefer that adaptation over the comic Green Arrow.
What happened to the Arrowverse? It was created and did permanent lasting damage to the perception of Green Arrow by making him a Batman clone despite the character having evolved past that for decades and let's not talk about how they fumbled the iconic relationship between Green Arrow and Black Canary, then making Supergirl just a female Clark Kent and further damaging Wally West's reputation by giving his personality to Barry Allen. Then Superman and Lois came out and it was genuinely great and as far as I'm concerned nothing DC CW exists before Superman and Lois, other than Smallville.
It's kinda sad that from the vast repertory of Arrowverse shows, only Arrow & Superman and Lois had good series endings Since the rest had painfully mediocre endings or didn't even properly ended since they were cancelled
When they did Season 3 of Superman, the show runner said that Superman was separate from the other CW-verse / arrowverse shows. Thats why noone mentioned Kara in Season 4 when Superman was killed. Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, Black Lightning, Legends are all in one universe, and Superman and Lois are now separate.
I loved The Flash and Grant Gustin, but I genuinely believe if it was ONLY Arrow and none of the spinoffs bringing in meta humans and multiverse stuff it would have stayed a little bit more grounded and probably would have been better. Still love it though. The Lucifer crossover moment was sick though
I agree with every take apart from the anti beebo propaganda, I still remember the legends dramatically fusing together ready to fight the big evil demon lord and then just huge beebo popping up like "beebo loves you :))", me and my dad absolutely died laughing, peak "this is insane and the writers were on so many drugs and I love it" moment
I absolutely adore Legends, I loved it when it was airing and its become a very comfy show for me. I fell in love with the characters and it felt like I was catching up with old mates each week. Plus I love Matt Ryan as Constantine. Overall the Arrowverse was pretty fucking good imo, there were definitely missteps but enjoyable for the most part.
part 2 should be exclusively The Flash, nothing more, maybe part 3 for the rest, but The Flash turned into such a mess that I think it deserves an entire video for itself
You know what's even crazier? The first 3 seasons of The Flash TV show were so good and showed that the character had so much potential... I wonder why Warner Bros. never decided to do a movie for the Flash... Oh well, guess we can only wonder at what might've been.
The Arrowverse didn’t deserve to survive this long. Look what they did to my boy Mr. Terrific 😤 They had some cool moments, the first seasons of Arrow and The Flash were goated and Vixen’s web series was kinda cool, but I tapped out after Legends of Tomorrow and Season 3 of The Flash.
while some of the shows "fell off" or weren't good from the start (batwoman...) the arrowverse should be the blueprint for any superhero crossover media
One thing i love about your videos is that you look at both sides of the coin and just dont label it all bad or all good. Especially making fun of the silly things people say like "arrow was meant to be batman "argument 😂 people just want a character straight out of a comic and aren't exactly open to different interpretations
As someone who has watched the Arrowverse TV shows and specials, here is basically how the average Arrowverse show went: Season 1 - amazing Season 2 - great Season 3 - not so great (some really hate it) Season 4 - honestly, not that bad (some people beg to differ) Season 5 - I think we are losing the point here Season 6 - how did we get here? Season 7 - somebody please end this show The finale - ranges from bad to pretty good. Mind you, some of the shows, like Batwoman, were bad/received poorly from the start and got canceled early on.
It failed because it was UNNECESARY long, like, average Arrowverse show lenght was like 5 seasons with 23 EPISODE each with a run time of 40 minutes per episode
Dude I like your videos but I heavily disagree on the Green Arrow defense. --- Your Argument for CW Green Arrow having a different personality compared to his comic counterpart is kinda bad that I compare this argument to the fanboys defending Bayverse Optimus Prime turning into Violent Psychopath. --- Yes, Green Arrow's Origin was that he was Stranded on an Island and suffered surviving there both CW and comics. The reason Green Arrow had a very Hyper or Dynamic personality is because he is using that as a barrier to treat obstacles and difficulties in life in a more light-hearted way so that it doesn't let it bother him. The same way Optimus is worthy of the Matrix of Leadership is that despite being engrossed in this never ending war, Optimus never wavers or changes because his purpose is meant to represent how one should persevere and resist despite the turmoil they are in. --- Just because Green Arrow acts like wise-crack and like he doesn't acknowledge the seriousness or the dangers of his lifestyle it's because he does and he masks it with his identity the same way Batman does. --- I don't mind you liking this interpretation of Green Arrow but I disagree on your defense on justifying why him being stranded on an island should be a basis on why he definitely needs to be serious and gritty like the Batman. Edit: I'm probably taking this part of his video way too seriously but I can't help it since that argument reminded me of Bayverse fanboys too much.
Since DC Fans think CW’s Green Arrow acts more like Batman, I personally think the Bayverse Optimus Prime acts more like Nemesis Prime then Optimus. Heck, when Optimus got brainwashed and was turned into Nemesis in the last Bayformers movie, I didn’t really care because characterwise, it wouldn’t change considering his personality & actions.
Also comics GA being created as a Batman ripoff doesn't really excuse show Arrow being one because it has like what 70 years of comics which developed him as a character beyond being just a Batman rip-off. I like this version but he's also not much of a great adaptation either Batman in his first couple comics is completely fine with killing people and using guns but if you featured that in a movie or show, people would rightfully be pissed at the mis-characterization because Batman isn't just defined by his first couple appearances. Multiple decades of comics developed his character beyond his initial appearance and it's part of the character. And I don't see why this should be any different. Honestly it's kinda worse for GA because this is kinda his one major adaptation. Like obviously he appears in some of the animated shows and Smallville, but when people think of GA this one is probably the only one coming to mind. Animation is unfortunately not seen by as many people as live action and Smallville is much older in comparison while this incarnation ended relatively recently. Batman in contrast has had many adaptations which means that some adaptations ignoring parts of his character can be half excused by "trying to be fresh" or "re-inventing the character" or something like that. Same for Black Canary and GA. If Arrow had had multiple iconic and famous (live-action) interpretations before then them doing Felicity instead of BC would've been a fine change IMO, because it's changing things up. Like it wouldn't be too bad if a new Batman adaptation had Bats end up with Talia or Vicky Vale instead of Catwoman.
a elseworld continuation from arrow would be amazing but the not with the og one but with a simular and showing some worldbreaking events like the the creaton of the metas (no Reverse flash traveling back, just og sicentist Barry with parents), a superman saves earth from ?, a Batman like a dark myth, ........ and later like a final seeing the creation of the justice league with every arrowverse hero actor as a cameo
I just wanna know what lead to such a drastic change in scripts. Sure it wasnt perfect but it FELT like comic shows. Not the POS cw teen mela drama we got later. Like God the sharp turn was crazy.
The hate for Arrow was only piggybacked by the flash tbh. By the time we hit season 5, the show fucking peaked. Stephen Amell was him, yet more people talked about the flash. Unlike arrow, the flash was trash-mid from the start, I find it mostly unwatchable. Take a look at the arrow subreddit now years after the show ended, the echo chamber is gone and real perspective is coming through. As someone who's watched every episode weekly as a teen and has now rewatched in my adult years, it holds up better than 90% of other superhero tv media. And, depending on the season, is comparable to daredevil (legit an all time favorite TV show). Respect for this vid for giving credit where it's due.
Even though they kinda dropped the ball in the last few seasons, (the Flash), they always intended to keep doing shows. The WB merger and the DCU are what destroyed everything.
I wish they'd bring most of the DCTV shows back for one more multiverse crossover because 1. Sam Lane's season 2 finale speech on Superman and Lois was the worst moment of the entire show. The dialogue was forced and felt less like a Superman and Lois moment and more like a Warner Bros moment. Because they needed a way to confirm that the show was NEVER part of the Arrowverse. Even if you hate the Arrowverse, leading the fans on with Diggle cameos and mentioning Oliver and the Crisis for two straight seasons, even in that same episode, was a dick move that disrespects the fans' intelligence. Which is exactly what Warner Bros does, especially with DC fans. And even at the time, I knew the retcon was gonna be pointless. Which proved me right because after the following season, it was announced to be cancelled after the next season! 2. Some DCTV shows didn't get a proper finale including Legends of Tomorrow, the 3rd official Arrowverse show, getting cancelled on a fucking cliffhanger, just so they wouldn't have to pay for the sets anymore. And 3. the last-ever official Arrowverse season was a bad final season of a once good show that cares more about simping for a badly written side character and less about giving the characters an exciting, definitive and respectful ending. At least THIS episode and the following episode were actually good. The Arrowverse-scratch that-MOST DCTV shows in general deserved better. And I can't think of a better way to give them an epic ending than by making another multiverse crossover! So many of those shows took place in their own separate universes and probably could've expanded but didn't. Either because of depressing circumstances or because the creators just didn't want to. And then there are DCTV shows, especially during the Arrowverse run, that avoided the connectivity of other shows to earn their popularity instead of relying on another show to do that for them. And/or avoiding muddying up the timeline. And that's great. But deep down, some fans just want to see their favorites interact even if they're not in the same universe. And they want to see it happen before it ends...and then most of these shows get cancelled before their time. What's the point of standing out when the network still treats you like shit? The way I see it, every character from every live action DC property (movie, show, audio series, etc) teams up to save the multiverse...AGAIN! I never read the comics, but I know COIE had sequels. Stephen Amell can be a part of the crossover because, as explained in one of the two good episodes of Flash season 9, Oliver can only interfere or "come back to life" if the multiverse is in danger! And they can include everybody from Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, Reeves/Routh Superman (they're the same character and you can't convince me otherwise), David Mazouz's Batman from Gotham, Seg-El from the Krypton TV show who was supposed to show up for COIE but schedules got in the way. The Titans, Doom Patrol, Smallville Superman, Naomi because the actress wanted to crossover with the Flash and Superman. Jay Garrick because Eric Wallace being Eric Wallace, he didn't care to explain why Jay Garrick is on Earth Prime when Oliver made a rule as the Spectre that two doppelgangers can't coexist in the same universe (ie Beth from Batwoman). They could've just said Jay Garrick came from Earth 2 where Stargirl takes place but no! That's how he and the JSA from the show are part of the crossover. And I didn't watch Titans (or Doom Patrol or Gotham Knights or anything with Swamp Thing in the title) but I saw a clip that Beast Boy met Stargirl when he traveled the multiverse. That could work to bring the Titans in. And you what? As poorly received as Gotham Knights was, the actors deserve a piece of the pie. And then it ends with most of the shows retconned in the same universe: all of the Arrowverse, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, Titans, Doom Patrol, Krypton, Swamp Thing 2019, Stargirl, Naomi, Lucifer, Powerless and Superman and Lois! I read a theory once that The Dark Knight Trilogy was in the Arrowverse the whole time as an explanation for why Batman left Gotham. Honestly, they might as well make that canon since we're never getting a real answer anyway. I'd love it if it was just its' own thing as an Elseworlds miniseries with better writing, VFX and what have you. In the future, they can always come back to this universe for whatever project the same way the DCAU returns once in a while!
I never understood why people disliked Amell. If that interview clip is why, then I think people need to get off the internet, because he had every right to be upset
Stephen Amell is right the Arrowverse did better for DC, than the DCEU ever did. It was to the point, were warner bros had to sabotage it. That thing they are doing with superman and Lois because of the movies, they've done it before with the Arrowverse's suicide Squad, they had plans with for season 3 and 4 of arrow involing the squad, Thea and Killerfrost were supposed to be part of it. Arrow's Deadshot was introduced since season 1, bro they plans but because the movie was coming up and WB pressured the production to kill them off.
Bro what you talking about except for the relationship between prometheus and oliver S04 was really the final season of arrow for me, I couldn't handle that new team and mister terrific was horrible
Well To Be Completely Honest I Watched Most of The Arrowverse (Except Batwoman) and some CW Shows namely IZombie, Riverdale, Roswell New Mexico and Kung Fu (2021) and I feel no shame really the Network Is severely despised compared to It's 2 Predecessors The WB and UPN It's Justified but I wasn't a huge fan Freeform (Formerly ABC Family) after Jetix moved to Toon Disney (Now Disney XD) and would've loved to see The Middleman or Melissa Joey back then but that was just me so do take It too hard but with CW they had reruns of Edgemont, How I Met Your Mother, Mike and Molly and one totally skipped out on Rules Of Engagement and When Arrow first aired I was hooked on this channel becoming a full time viewer since the days of Smallville on The WB and It was my TV Thing for most of the 2010's except 2013 when the most popular Network TV show then was Axe Cop on Animation Domination High Def on Fox underrated show check that out
I'll tell you what happened. It got the fate it deserved as a bargain bin Potrayal of the greatest heroes in Comic book history while being Hammstrung by Producers and Studio executives who wouldn't let the showrunners have access to characters like Batman or removed characters that were already in the series like Deathstroke and made sure to push obnoxious romances like Iris West and Felicity at the cost of great Characters like Black Canary

Thank you for mentioning the hoodie skin pack for the justice league in smallville it’s the first thing I notice anytime I see a post with one of them 💀
The Arrowverse will always be more successful than any dc shared universe
We will see with James Gun attempt at it. I like the arrowverse more than the DCEU, easily
That's not saying much 😂
DCAU: 💀
@@g_l_o_o_m_y_ythe Arrowverse has its problems… but, yeah. It was better then the DCEU, despite what you think of the movies.
The DC Animated Universe is FAR better. You gotta watch Batman TAS, Superman TAS, and Justice League.
Correct. The only thing that is good about it is the dumb fun
They made green arrow as batman because of course, they can't use batman
Agree with you but the CW verse is more of a success compared to its movie counter part
As far as i'm concerned, everything after Arrow season 2 did not happen
The CW wanted to make a Batman show but WB said no so they made a darker version of Oliver Queen
I have good memories of Arrow. It was a great show with some very very unfortunate missteps lol
It's kinda sad that from the vast repertory of Arrowverse shows, only Arrow & Superman and Lois had good series endings
Since the rest had painfully mediocre endings or didn't even properly ended since they were cancelled
Almost as mediocre as you. Hah.
Flash season 1 and 2 is some of the best dc live action to me. Its up there with the best.
Oh we will 100% see these characters again.
The Arrowverse doesn't get talked about enough. Great video. 🏹⚡🦸🏼♀️
Nah bro that cut out is just staring into my sole 😂
Superman & Lois is my fav DCTV Show ❤
I absolutely adore Legends, I loved it when it was airing and its become a very comfy show for me. I fell in love with the characters and it felt like I was catching up with old mates each week. Plus I love Matt Ryan as Constantine. Overall the Arrowverse was pretty fucking good imo, there were definitely missteps but enjoyable for the most part.
That shi is sad af😢
The arrowverse will be missed, the actual good dc connected universe
DCAU exists you know.
@@ibrahimihsan2090 and dcamu but I mainly mean in live action
What about DCAMU/Tomorrowverse?
@@ASH_EDITZ_OFFICIAL Yeah, then you're kinda right.
@@gamerzilla6113 we don't talk about the tommorowverse...
part 2 should be exclusively The Flash, nothing more, maybe part 3 for the rest, but The Flash turned into such a mess that I think it deserves an entire video for itself
You know what's even crazier? The first 3 seasons of The Flash TV show were so good and showed that the character had so much potential... I wonder why Warner Bros. never decided to do a movie for the Flash... Oh well, guess we can only wonder at what might've been.
I loved the flash show
I think the first three seasons of the Flash series was good. I kinda grew out of watching the Flash series after that.
Man, Legends having Reverse Flash as the villain was the shit.
We need a pt 2 of this
while some of the shows "fell off" or weren't good from the start (batwoman...) the arrowverse should be the blueprint for any superhero crossover media
Legends was always favorite tbh. I loved it when it got really wacky.
Both sound interesting but I’m definitely more interested in a vid about the crossovers
One thing i love about your videos is that you look at both sides of the coin and just dont label it all bad or all good. Especially making fun of the silly things people say like "arrow was meant to be batman "argument 😂 people just want a character straight out of a comic and aren't exactly open to different interpretations
All good things must come to a end. I say "good things" very loosely here. Im talking to you Flash.
As someone who has watched the Arrowverse TV shows and specials, here is basically how the average Arrowverse show went:
Season 1 - amazing
Season 2 - great
Season 3 - not so great (some really hate it)
Season 4 - honestly, not that bad (some people beg to differ)
Season 5 - I think we are losing the point here
Season 6 - how did we get here?
Season 7 - somebody please end this show
The finale - ranges from bad to pretty good.
Mind you, some of the shows, like Batwoman, were bad/received poorly from the start and got canceled early on.
But not soon enough.
@@mkno2799 lol
Anytime I talk about anything bad about arrow it’s a cw problem not a arrow problem what I mean this problem is consistent with a lot of cw shows
Arrow before it went full CW was a peek Arrowverse
Yeah bro we are desperate for a part 2 AND 3
Ok, the real reason arrow verse failed is.........idfk never really watched any of it
Same
Same
Not same
It failed because it was UNNECESARY long, like, average Arrowverse show lenght was like 5 seasons with 23 EPISODE each with a run time of 40 minutes per episode
Writing
Dude I like your videos but I heavily disagree on the Green Arrow defense.
---
Your Argument for CW Green Arrow having a different personality compared to his comic counterpart is kinda bad that I compare this argument to the fanboys defending Bayverse Optimus Prime turning into Violent Psychopath.
---
Yes, Green Arrow's Origin was that he was Stranded on an Island and suffered surviving there both CW and comics.
---
Just because Green Arrow acts like wise-crack and like he doesn't acknowledge the seriousness or the dangers of his lifestyle it's because he does and he masks it with his identity the same way Batman does.
---
I don't mind you liking this interpretation of Green Arrow but I disagree on your defense on justifying why him being stranded on an island should be a basis on why he definitely needs to be serious and gritty like the Batman.
I like this version but he's also not much of a great adaptation either
Batman in his first couple comics is completely fine with killing people and using guns but if you featured that in a movie or show, people would rightfully be pissed at the mis-characterization because Batman isn't just defined by his first couple appearances.
The arrowverse is 100x better than any group of correlating shows and any DC series movie or TV than we will ever see
Yuppp. Part 2???
Arrowverse was good times man 👌👌👌
HE WAS WEIRD HE WAS TRYNNA TOUCH ME
part 2 definitely
a elseworld continuation from arrow would be amazing
but the not with the og one but with a simular and showing some worldbreaking events like the the creaton of the metas (no Reverse flash traveling back, just og sicentist Barry with parents), a superman saves earth from ?, a Batman like a dark myth, ........
and later like a final seeing the creation of the justice league with every arrowverse hero actor as a cameo
I just wanna know what lead to such a drastic change in scripts. Sure it wasnt perfect but it FELT like comic shows. Not the POS cw teen mela drama we got later. Like God the sharp turn was crazy.
PART 2 PLEASEEEE
Are you going to talk about the Creature Commandos panel and the other DCU updates?
Hmm I don't know what there is to talk about tbh the news ain't big enough
@@andaelee a trailer reaction maybe?
Even though they kinda dropped the ball in the last few seasons, (the Flash), they always intended to keep doing shows. The WB merger and the DCU are what destroyed everything.
I just hope the new chapter of dc, does the Arrowverse justice!
UNDER 30 MINS LEGOOOO😩😩😩😩
We don't talk about the final season of flash
Imma need a part two
This is the absolute green arrow universe
I Love legends idc what anyone says
Why would you even keep watching these after the first couple of years lol
Arrow was still peak arrowverse, much better than the flash in cumulative episodes
Arrowverse ended with flash, but the book end of the whole run,
Yes, lois and superman
Well To Be Completely Honest I Watched Most of The Arrowverse (Except Batwoman) and some CW Shows namely IZombie, Riverdale, Roswell New Mexico and Kung Fu (2021) and I feel no shame really the Network Is severely despised compared to It's 2 Predecessors The WB and UPN It's Justified but I wasn't a huge fan Freeform (Formerly ABC Family) after Jetix moved to Toon Disney (Now Disney XD) and would've loved to see The Middleman or Melissa Joey back then but that was just me so do take It too hard but with CW they had reruns of Edgemont, How I Met Your Mother, Mike and Molly and one totally skipped out on Rules Of Engagement and When Arrow first aired I was hooked on this channel becoming a full time viewer since the days of Smallville on The WB and It was my TV Thing for most of the 2010's except 2013 when the most popular Network TV show then was Axe Cop on Animation Domination High Def on Fox underrated show check that out
it was cool while it lasted
Feels like every clip of the arrowverse I've seen are just some characters standing in the middle of an empty street or field
I thought Gunn confirmed the guy in black was Ultraman, not Bizzaro
do everything , flash and the crossovers
I am here
Great video
Legends is the best of all of them
I'll tell you what happened.
It all went downhill whenever had to get powers in the arrowverse or they become heroes.
Part 2 please
0:02 I stopped watching Superman & Lois after Season 1, i tried to get into it, but i just couldn't. Is that supposed to be Doomsday?
Very curious what Andy thinks of the Batwoman show
9:18 the first couple seasons weren’t but after the crisis event. They’re on the same earth
James gunn said he wants grant gustins flash already lol
I love arrow too. no shame
