The 80s was an interesting time. Even weirder is that Eddie Murphy, then as now, was totally sober. He had a hit song with Rick James of all people and it was called Party All the Time yet he actually never really partied and took care of himself. Which you can tell because he looks great these days.

My friend became singer for Jada's band. They put stuff out on myspace after. Damn, can't remember what they called it either. But come to think about it, might have been Facebook days by the time he started playing with them.
As a metal fan, hearing Jada’s music wasn’t bad but the scoop was short. Like you said, the riffs were cool and Jada’s voice was awesome!

I Loved Jada's metal band Wicked Wisdom!! Shes a legend in my book for doing something she loves despite the criticism! Us death metal girls are rare, so kudos to her! I do remember they played on David Letterman back in the day.
I get why. The musics sheer garbage. Just headache inducing noise
The music was objectively terrible and she had ZERO passion for the genre. She literally tried to buy her way in to it. And the reports of racism were overblown. Just excuses instead of admitting the obvious reasons that fans of the genre didn't respect what she was doing. It's sad because had she done things properly, she could have really broken some ground for women of color in metal. But she acted like an elite, rich person and of course metal fans wouldn't fuck with that. If she actually loved the genre as much as she claimed, she would've known that.
