this is my signature move lol glad to actually see nba players use it. im 5'8 and I can't shoot well so I just post up and use the bump like jalen so I can get some space to rotate. It's one the best ways to score on a taller defender. But when someone is too tall I get blocked. So fml

It’s crazy my play style is the exact same way. I watched a lot of Zach Randolph, so it’s like an old school type game lol. Anyways, it’s refreshing to see the post in his bag of moves. Most definitely getting people off guard

    • @oijoske3083
      @oijoske3083 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

@@SLXD03 EXACTLY. When I was younger my father used to play like this against me, so I would copy all of his moves. And his favorite players were mj, old it, and mostly finishers. So he would only drive or go midrange or post me up.
So I didn't even work on my shooting back in junior high, and that playstyle stuck with me. But I keep on evolving it with some better shooting and reverse flashy finishes. Good to see other people play like this too.

When u facing more length, use up and unders. Use ya quickness to put him in chase and have to recover which will make it more likely he bites on fakes

Would love a Zach Randolph breakdown 🙏
How a man with little vert can give both Tim Duncan (admittedly older) + high flying Blake Griffin a hard time would be gold for most of us more floor-bound players
He had a smorgasbord of moves, plenty of detail to give attention to 🔬

His post ups and footwork into floaters is something I used to kill with in the park back in the mid 90s through the 2000s. I really miss playing ball I don't have the time and im so out of shape.

The nice part about the high post up is you can drive straight down the middle, spin baseline, or half spin to the middy floater - all while seeing the floor and finding cutters. I’m a shorter guy but above average in strength so I always get to the high post when defences stop my initial attack.

As an older player and 5’4 guard, I’ve started to add posts up, finishes and more midrange moves to my game. I like to watch Luka, Booker, Chris Paul, and Brunson. I’m right handed but can’t be stopped going left like Brunson. It saves my knees 🙏🏾🤣 if Dallas just lets Brunson do his thing in the left side of the paint, Dallas plays better imo.

I’m 6,1 around 180 when I post up i love using my right hook shot or fake a fade away and step in with a floater. I use this against guys who are smaller or bigger doesn’t matter. If a guy really wants to block me I use this to my advantage and get them jumping in the post and I either spin around or step over for a close shot.

coming to this vid after the L team USA took... i feel like it was mostly jalen brunson's fault that they didnt win and i'll explain why cause i really need this question answered by you or any other coach seeing this question.
the reason i put most of the blame on brunson is because as the PG of the tea, the guy who's been given the keys to drive da boat, not only is it your job to make reads off of the defense but also read the situation and understand that your own coach doesn't know anything other than golden state warriors new age ball and he doesn't have the willingness to go another route, strategy wise.
as the point, you gotta be strong enough to say "f this mess" this coach has no clue what's going on i gotta lead these guys to better offensive possessions. imo brunson is a great scorer, especially afterseeing this vid, i had no idea this is how he feels comfortable getting his buckets. it's extremely respectable to see a 6 ft guard POST UP especially in today's NBA (he's 6 ft tall, idk who got yall thinking he's actually taller), so trust me i respect it. However, this seems to be confirming a suspicion i had about jalen and that is that he's nothing but a dawg scorer.
for better or worse, he's hard headed, disciplined to a fault, selfish in his ways of getting buckets (rarely happens within the flow of the offense, because if it did, his moves would all become predictable). and i'm sorry that just cannot happen when your point guard is 6 ft tall. it just won't work, it's not like he has nash/kidd/doncic/magic type of vision. he's just really serious about getting a bucket in the most diffuclt and time consuming way.
idk how any coach would want this guy to be their starting point. i'd have a nightmare season if i ever got a guy like that and the rest of my players actually defered to him just cause he's confident in his scoring ability. so it's clear that i think he's trash.
but do you think he's trash after he's been exposed in this manner?

“He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve hell but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved. The Key To Eternal Life:
