I would say he has some of the same qualities, like keeping up his (tight) dribble, being able to get past defenders with guile and deception instead of sheer athleticism and explosiveness. The main difference between him and Luka is size though. While Brunson is built like a tank and can play extremely physical, he doesn't have a 6'7, 230 pound body (201cm, 104kg) to bang against defenders. He is even shiftier than Luka on the ball though, probably due to playing at this size for all of his basketball career. Sometimes it looks like he is teleporting past defenders, while Luka instead would keep them on his hip and score through them, Brunson usually gets past them and is relatively open when he takes the shot. I don't think it means that lol, Luka's been the best P&R scorer in the league himself.
@@HoopVenue so if hes best and had other best on his team he always had enough help..proved my point
@@xavierb9061 Brunson’s a P&R ball-handler, same as Luka, there’s only one ball so both being great at it doesn’t have any synergy. Porzingis was misused for a lot of that time, and just straight up wasn’t playing as good as he is now.
@@HoopVenue maybe should watch thinking basketball new luka video, help you understand. Otherwise alwys luka teammates problem instead of him.
Drose without the uber athleticism

He's carrying the ball, but his game once he gets to where he wants is legit.
That being said, this kinda seems like an Ishiah Thomas 2.0.
carrying bawls is acceptable and good for ratings :^)

Yall don't understand elite footwork
@@khalilsmalling5884 its not the footwork thats the problem, its his handle on the ball. His footwork is great.
Everybody carries the ball…
Why does it seem like IT 2.0?
He's unguardable because the rules are not enforced. I'm not hating. He's great at handling the ball, but about a third of these plays he's carrying over his dribble. But the NBA is sports entertainment these days.
If those rules were enforced the game would be so much worse unless they only do it when it’s rlly bad
Shut the hell up.
@@Tyreese-HalibootyTell that to Tim Hardaway, Magic Johnson, Pistol Pete, and Isaiah Thomas. Guys who could shake and bake without breaking the rules and still break ankles. Also....RLLY BAD....Dude. watch the video. Half of the carry overs his hand is completely under the ball.
Cry
Man shut the hell up
It’s the luka doncic effect , y’all forgot he played with luka who footwork is crazy and he lowers and boost his speed
Brunson did alot of these things in college. Doncic has 0 to do with what this man has become. If anything he was a cancer in jalens side
Thats disrespect Brunson was doing this in college he learned his footwork in villanova
@@rthompson1330 He's said himself that Luka helped refine his game
Theres always room to improve. Brunson wasn't this good to start but he developed and now he's a star
He got clamped by Haywood Highsmith yesterday 😂
But he just dropped 43
all nba 1st team …. Fuk it I said it
