When Logitech announced the new Keys-to-Go 2, I was actually a little underwhelmed. Specifically, I thought they were simply taking the (admittedly great) Casa Keys from the Casa Pop-Up Desk and slapping a cover on it. While I think they should totally sell the Casa Keys as a standalone item, I no longer think they need to. The new Keys-to-Go 2 keyboard is that good.
Not only is this not a dupe of the Casa Keys, the new Keys-to-Go 2 keyboard is something unlike anything I've ever tried out before. It is light, but not flimsy; small, but not cramped; simple and yet wildly useful. This is a keyboard I want in my bookbag right now.

$80USD is *wayyyy* overpriced for what this thing is...
I have to agree as I think the Mini MX Keys is that price.
@@PLANETWATERMELON and mini is much more better than this shit
Did the development team not do their UX research? thinking about how the inside of the cover becomes the base for the keyboard and then gets dust and dirty the keyboard itself. it's useless then
I always switch that "everything" button to "caps lock." I'm a touch-typist. And "caps lock" is just part of my muscle memory. Having it do anything else causes chaos when I'm typing.
You forgot to actually type on it. How does it type in your expereince?
I actually tried one out and in my opinion, it's terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The spacebar is the main issue, with is designed in a way that it tilts to the back (it's secured to the board with some construct at the front (the side of the user) that makes it tilt to the back). The very low amount of key travel makes for a really uncomfortable experience. But the spacebar is the main issue. When doing typing tests, even though it's uncomfortable, all the mistakes I make are spacebar related.
It's fine to use f.e. in front of your TV, while doing some youtubing or to type search entries in some streaming service. But to actually use if for productivity purposes it's simply not good enough. I wouldn't even want to use it to type in comment sections like this one. I compared to my really old Asus Transformer Android Tablet's keyboard and that types way better.
just bought it and have the same issue with spacebar. hoping its just defective
Why haven’t large companies like Logitech come out with usb c dongles? My job just gave me a tablet that has one usb a and one usb c port.
To me, this along with a mouse & adjustable laptop stand is way more useful than that "Casa" package.
The entire appeal of the Casa is the trackpad that’s not available from other peripheral manufacturers, plus its aesthetic and all-in-one by design. Definitely pricey though.
Oh dear.... No backlight 😢
I do wish Surface-like mice were a more common form factor. That specific mouse was HOT GARBAGE, but the market for a lightweight mouse that folds flat for maximum portability/baggability is definitely there.
I would use it with a phone not a chromebook
Me too. Or tablet.
@RobotPorter This is made for use with Tablet & Mobile. It's mention on their web👍
No key backlighting, then no sale.
I have been using the JLab GO keyboard with my Lenovo Duet 5 for a year or so now, and love it. But I really like the feel of the keys on the Duet's keyboard over the more full-keyboard style keys, so I'm actually kind of excited to give this Logitech Keys-to-Go 2 a try.
I agree. The Duet's keys have that special something. I wish I could connect it with my Chromebox via Bluetooth.
This is perfect for Dex.
if my Chromebook has a keyboard when would I need this?
When you are docked, I guess.
Docked AND up on a “stand”
09:00
When your keyboard breaks, duh
I guess. But $80? It should type itself
$99 cad and no backlight = garbage
Would the keyboard be compatible with the steamdeck?
I never understood portable keyboards. The laptop you are using already has a portable keyboard lol
Appreciate the mention for us fans of Linux that we will be ok! 🎉😂
I got a question for you.... I just got this keyboard and it looks nice...
How would I type ñ or éíóúá while the keyboard is connected to my Android phone?
"Works with Chromebook" for a keyboard is a marketing meme
At least it makes the Chromebook brand more present. But I agree: a keyboard with ChromeOS keys would be much nicer.
@@thomasraukamp yeah I get that
It would have been helpful if you demonstrated actual typing in a Google Doc and commented on the ease of typing, key size, finger attack issues, speed, etc
= 💯💯
I don't know what's up with Chromebooks and capslock? What like Chromebook users don't use capslock that often? Maybe that's what the user data says, but some things don't feel, should be changed.
To be honest, I rarely use caps lock. I usually hold the shift key. So using it for the everything key is okay with me.
TO BE FAIR, CAPSLOCK REALLY ISN'T NEEDED. WHO REALLY TYPES COMPLETE SENTENCES IN CAPS? 😜
@@Samasnier 😁
Made for Tablets & Mobiles. $80 Wayÿy Over Priced for what is offer. Same as K380s but more lightweight & Portable.
So I messaged Logitech two months ago asking if a new model was due out. They said they couldn't tell me. I bought the original and a month later the new one comes out! Can anyone tell me if there's a huge funcitonal upgrade? I'm onl really using it to write stuff on my iPhone.
This is a total waste if you don't have a chrome box. Who needs two keyboards for one Chromebook?! And, If it is for a tablet, useless without a stand.
Why doesn’t Logitech just implement a built in touchpad (or nub) for those that want a curser
I loved the apple keyboard folio but I don't think they are bringing it back. This seems to be the next best think, even if it doesn't magnetically attach to the ipad. The magic keyboard is nice, but too heavy. I don't want to turn my thin ipad into a brick, so this will work fine.
Ahhhh, unavaible in Mumbai
sucks
Question, did you have any issues while typing? The space bar lacks feedback in my KTG2 when I hit it at the lower side, especially on the most right side. Did you have this problem as well, or does the spacebar feel perfectly supple like all other keys?
Thank you for sharing this! I have been using a Model M for the past 5 years and it just not conventional to carry a keyboard THIS large with me on an airplane.
Great review. I like it, you like it, but you like check books more than I do...🤣🤣. Thanks fr Singapore 😍😍
bro's got issues when he compares sizes, like seriously datum off of one edge please
That’s incredibly thin!! Wow, would have loved one of these back when I was in School.
I received the keys2go V1 in a swag bag and although I would not have paid full price for it, it did come in handy when I was packing light, sually when I was using my IPad.
I don't recall if it worked on chrome but then again I'm just now evolving to more and more Chromebook use.
can anyone let me know how to press CTRL ALT DEL on this keyboard? it doesn't seem to have the DEL key? thx alot
@4:44 - top right key.
Compare it with Logitech k380
Can you take off that cover?
A checkbook? Ok boomer.
Logi MX keys 'mini' for me still though - Thin, Backlit , nice weight , keys are perfect. If they did the keys-2 go with a back light then maybe they'd get my money. Note with my MX keys I re-glued the rubber feet as they have a tendency to work their way off in the rucksack. tbh I don't think I've found a better keyboard than the MX keys 'mini'
Have you tried the mx keys mini?
@@SabeTheApple Yeah sorry I should have put the word 'mini' I keep forgetting there's the full size one , I've got two of 'mini' models, as they pair up nicely with my 3 chromebooks and nvidia shields. The mini is probably the same size and the keys-2go.
@@-Jka- it's smaller looking at the specs and weighs half the amount. Probably also due to the rechargeable battery on the mini. I use the full size version and did a review on it too actually. Just got the mini as travelling more and it seems to do the trick. BTW if you're uk based a good travel case is from the pi hut for the pi 400. Great sleeve case and cheap.
@@SabeTheApple Hey thanks - that's a great to know on the pi case - I was originally carrying the mini around in the box it came in, it then made the bag a bit bulky🙈🙈
@@-Jka- Google raspberry pi 400 sleeve. It was £5 plus a few quid delivery. Beats the logitech official sleeve for £25!
n-key rollover???
What is the use case for this?

Excellent video!
Who cares about this - where is the Acer 516 GE CB+ review?
