    The original Onyx Boox Go 10.3 pen holds very well on the Tab Mini C. So magnets in the pen
    are strong enough, the problem is more the thin profile of the device. Personally I've swapped the ReMarkable 2 for the Onyx boox Go 10.3 and I'm really satisfied. Thank you so much great review!

    Thank you for the great review. I am loving the 10.3. First boox device for me. Also have the a5x and a6x2. Making this my daily driver right now. As you said it's for those with a specific use case scenario. I am using it to read and study while writing on on my RM2. I need the large screen to read with due to my old eyes. I have had this for a few weeks and still learning things. I also like writing on it which i do when writing casually. Will probably sell the a6x2 eventually just because the small screen doesn't meet my needs. Thanks again for this. Currently the only thing i an having trouble with is trying to figure out how to print from the device itself with A5 side paper. When trying to print from the device it gives me a choice to pick size of paper i am using but currently can only get it to print in letter. I am sure it's something I am doing wrong. Again, loving this device.

    This regression in writing latency is a great pity. They had done so well with the Note Air 3 C but then things only went backwards again. This confirms my assumption at the time that the extra GPU (BSR) played a major role in the low writing latency on the NA3C. If only it weren't for the enormous battery consumption...

    This device is sooo enticing. As are the features hopefully coming in the Supernote A5X.
    I’m going to need to replace my reMarkable 2 at some point…which to choose!!?! 🤔
    My primary use case is for note taking.
    I wonder how many of the things Boox introduced with this device that reMarkable was planning as a “big release” with their reMarkable 3? And wonder if reMarkable is now scrambling on how to market their next reMarkable device, or if there will be one.

    • @MyDeepGuide
      @MyDeepGuide  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I honestly don't know, but they have to do something meaningful, both on the hardware and software side of things, in order to be competitive. It shouldn't take too much, because the platform already has a good focus, and a big community, so all they need to do is listen to the community and play to their strengths.
      Unfortunately, update 3.12 has shown that they aren't doing any of that, so hopefully this device is something that will force them to reevaluate decisions that led to the platform regressions we've seen introduced with that update.

    I have the tablet (Boox Go 10.3) for a week, once fully charged from 24% to 100% and now I can feel how the adhesive under the leather back has apparently come loose: It makes noises when I press on it and I can also feel a slight bump when I run my hand over it. Against the light I can see a slight unevenness on the gray metal strip on the back. Minimal, but its there. Very hard to make a photo of it. However it lies flat on the table and doesn't wobble so it's most probably not the battery that has somehow inflated. 😕

      Weird that my comment about watching yoga and meditation videos disappeared.
      I have dumb phone to reduce my screen time. This is why I use my eink device for guided meditations and yoga. Boox Palma was great for that use because of the BSR, but otherwise it was pretty buggy (apps crashing etc.) and of course, small.
      This is why I was interested in the video performance. But I saw a video about it elsewhere, and the performance is surprisingly good.
      Eink devices can be great for consuming videos with information mainly on the audio track (speeches, lectures, tutorials etc.).

    Really good review. I wonder how the device handles an academic workflow, such as annotating PDFs, exporting them (annotations and PDFs), integration with libraries managers such as zotero, etc etc. This is the only thing that holds me against supernote and I think that Boox clearly wins (at least with tablets such as the NA3)

    We bought the Boox GO 10.3 but had to return it. When we tried to transfer our work in NOTES from the Boox onto a USB-C thumb driver and onto an SD card attached through the same port hub, there was NO option to do so. NOTES will not allow you to save, export, or copy anything onto the external drive, even though both the thumb drive and the SD card were recognized by the Boox device itself. THAT is a deal-breaker.

    • @MyDeepGuide
      @MyDeepGuide  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can use a combination of naming single pages (and then viewing thumbnails) and keywords/tags, but if you need a more direct way to access pages/parts of a notebook you could also employ links between pages and create an overview page at the start of each notebook, for example. As much as I like the heading function on my Nomad, I do miss naming specific pages there.

    I'm delighted with my Boox Go 10.3 After being with it for a couple of weeks now, I'm seeking to improve the writing experience with different pen nibs. The Boox tips that come with the box are quite hard and tippy tappy without being scratch (gel pen/glassy feel), but the ones that come with the Staedler noris digital jumbo are a little too soft and silky(very little feedback). I'm after a Goldilocks nib somewhere in between, that feels more like a pencil.
    The best writing experience I had was nova air C with a doodroo screen and a titanium-nibbed staedler noris digital, so it might be that I need to explore a different screen protector to get the effect that I want. Welcome replies with recommendations.

    I'm going to return mine. In perfect lighting, it's at best just usable for how grey it is. In anything but ideal lighting, what should be white is just super grey, it's extremely displeasing.
    I'll look for something with back light. I'm really disappointed none of the reviews flag this as a major point of attention. If you want to read a4 PDFs like legal docs or scientific papers, you'll just stare at large expanses of grey with black text. It sucks major balls.

    This is so close to my perfect work device, but so far away. The same design with a 12" screen would be the perfect work companion. I have a Max Lumi 2, and it is great, but you could achieve the same use cases with a 12" 300ppi device, but that doesn't really exist. I'd buy a 13" GO, but it is still held back by the fact that I'll never be able to put client data on a connected device if that device is Chinese. I'll have to wait for Supernote to make an A4 device. I used to very much want a color device, but I really like these cheaper, thinner, and high ppi B&W devices. Especially with the lower parallax on the screen without the color layer or the front light.

    I have a question about Go 10.3 for reading PDFs: I am in the market for my first eink tablet and will mainly be using mine for reading and annotating PDFs, epubs and Word documents. I have narrowed my choice down to the Go 10.3 and NA3. I like the sleek design and display of the 10.3 but I don't like the way the screen seems to flash (refresh?) when I see people turning pages on PDFs on TH-cam reviews. Given that I am new to this area and have never used one in person I am not sure if I have the language down to describe my concern but I saw on a another video on this channel comparing the NA3 and NA3c and Voja was able to mostly get rid of the flashing that happened by enabling the speed mode on the NA3. Is that possible on the Go 10.3? Thanks in advance!

    Abt 52:00 | The typing experience on keyboards:
    * Correct me , if I am wrong, but the speed and precision looks , to me, the same , when you were testing with bluetooth keyboard versus this OTG-based mechanical ? I mean the Boox display was showing the characters with the same speed, is it?
