I feel lucky because I've seen her live once in my small town in Finland and it was a mind-blowing experience. Lara performed quite modestly, even barefoot, accompanied by only a few musicians and her wonderful instrument; her voice. The concert was the most breathtaking experience I have ever experienced. Lara's way of being present and telling a story is incredibly strong and powerful. Never forget that.

One of the best storytellers out there. Life is not always happy. We humans do terrible things sometimes. I still wonder who hurt this lady. Good show thanks again.🤠

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian.
Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career.
When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics.
Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels).
One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests:
    - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it),
    - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US, she is her friend and role model and he made several duets with her),
    - Cakra Khan,
    - Gigi de Lana,
    - Regine Velasquez,
    - Almira (from 4th Impact),
    - Katrina Velarde,
    - Julie Anne San Jose,
    - Sarah Geronimo,
    - Morissette Amon,
    - Petra Berger,
    - Harrison Craig,
    - Rimar,
    - Jackie Evancho,
    - …
Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning.
But the original from Lara remains the absolute reference

Just more of a natural pure singer, not trying to do things with her voice just flows. Song was good. But listen for you 2 more quite often.

You can check covers from Josh Groban, Almira, Cakra Khan, Regine Velasquez, Morissette Amon, Gigi de Lana, …
Even Barbra Streisand covered it but it was not recorded.
Great covers but nobody emotes like Lara.
Yes she wrote Adagio. She wrote 70% of her songs in 4 languages …

If only you really knew the history behind this song, you will (hopefully) appreciate much more what's happening here. Add to that the fact that the Canadian and US music industry virtually denied her entry into THEIR world of music.
This songs is probably one most loaded with emotions. One can truly feel the harm, the scars, the pain this "broken vow" has caused. It is worth a thousand tears and more.
Yes, there are a number of great artists who can be emotionally involved in what they do, but to convey that in virtually every song so strongly and be so precise (if one had to honestly follow the lyrics), is pure art at its highest level. LARA is still to be challenged on that. So, until such time, in my humble opinion, she remain the best - my Queen.
Thank you for your reaction. I suggest and/or recommend that you read up more about the 'music industry' I mentioned above.

I would like you to react to a song by Diana Navarro " El perdón " She is a very versatile Spanish singer. She sings different musical styles. She has a melismas and a capacity to sing with very long notes. She always transmits with her face and gestures. Best regards

Josh Groban sings this on one of his albums. Don’t think there is a video. His voice stellar too.
She writes in 4-5 languages and each one nails her gorgeous sound.

Can I axe you sumpin?… what did you guys sprinkle on that milkless Raisin Bran this morning? A great singer and performance, but not something I’d keep in my regular shuffle. Maybe it just doesn’t follow Dio that well. Mustang Suzy, you better slow that Mustang down! 🏎

What an American comment to make: music is dated. She comes from the continent of classical music and opera. On top of all our traditional music, like most countries have. Unlike Americans.

He covered it as did so many (including Barbra Streisand). Lara wrote it.
Josh and Lara met when they sang a duet for Spielberg’s movie "A.I.”. She became a role model for him and he asked if he could cover it. They sang several duets together.

Your opening was rather odd!! Referring to someone saying Axe instead of Ask, is actually an African American thing that has to do with there vocal chords. A few years ago, a lady friend was explaining this to me, and from what i gather it is just a natural way that the word Ask comes out. My mother was always correcting me when i would say Wooder instead of Water. Yes accents can also be different, especially in the South, New England areas, and so on.
