- In this video Gift and I talk about our first time experiencing a Typhoon. We consider ourselves lucky to not only have surived our first typhoon, but also to have friends like JR and Cecilia who had experienced numerous typhoon’s themselves and assured us that everything would be okay.

HANOI/THAI NGUYEN, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The death toll in Vietnam from typhoon Yagi and the landslides and flash floods it triggered rose to 226 on Thursday, the government's disaster agency said, as flood pressure eased in the capital Hanoi.
The Southeast Asian country is reeling from the impact of Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm to hit Asia this year, which made landfall in Vietnam's northeastern coast on Saturday.
More than 100 people remain missing, while some 800 people have been injured, the agency said in a report.

I was in a typhoon years ago in nha Tran area it was horrible, so sad to see our Vietnamese friends going through this mess praying 🙏 for all
Hi G,J & D, thanks for letting us know that you are all ok having experienced Typhoon Yagi. So sad that so many people affected by it with so many killed and injured. I just saw some dramatic footage from a dash cam as a bridge in Hanoi collapsed taking many vehicles with it and the people in them. It has also claimed lives in Laos and the North of Thailand. Even here in Khon Kaen we have had the tail end with tremendous storms and some slight flooding, but nothing as extreme as in Hanoi. It put me in mind of the Great Storm of 1987 in UK when in 100mph winds I had to climb up a bell tower in my local church to prevent a structure with a bell in it falling through the church roof. Seeing all the trees uprooted in Hanoi reminded me of the aftermath of that storm with many trees uprooted and whole forests destroyed. Praying for all those who have died or lost loved ones also for the injured and all those who have lost their livelihood as a result of the damage and destruction. May the souls of the departed Rest in Peace and rise in glory. ❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The good part is Gift, you Joe, David, J.R. and Cecilia are safe. And good to go for your flight to get back to Thailand. Like you said Hanoi does look more busy from other video's. Well have a good flight back and stay safe.
Thank you 🙏

Good to hear ya'll safe and sound...living on Saipan for many years we had an 8-month window for typhoon season and so we became quite familiar with the ravages of mother nature...and what's also amazing is, as soon as the typhoon passes, commerce begins again with vendors all supplying much needed wares and food...
First time for a Typhoon. Glad you made it to the other side. Happy trails on the rest of your trip.
Wow, what an experience. Guess you can check typhoon off your bucket list.
So grateful for God’s protection over all of you. Sad to see such destruction + loss of life. Your video tour was amazing. Wishing you safe onward travels. Rick
Gift was pretty cool when she wanted to make sure everyone knew she was not complaining just preparing for no ac or power.

Thank You for really interesting video,I have followed a lot storm chasing, this was really strong hurricane/typhoon
Nice to see you both out and about again . Typhoons are not good they do a lot of damage. They can be very scary when they hit , lts like a freight train coming the three i have experienced .. Enjoying your videos keep them coming 👍👍
I am grateful you all are safe ! please remain safe .... Heads Up guys .
Went through 20 plus typhoons in Asia,,some small ones and some big ones,,prepare for the storm is a must,, basically same as preparing for Hurricane,,,,evidently were you live in Thailand you very lucky not to get hit by typhoon storms, just monsoon rains,,good luck brother take care,,never underestimate the power of the storm,,😊
Glad to see and hear that you're doing okay, Joe and Gift. Prayers 🙏🙏for those who perished, the still-missing, and those who lost loved ones.
Thank you for your kindness to Vietnamese victims of the typhoon.
I am glad you are safe.
Now the typhoon has passed. Time to enjoy .
Be careful and stay safe.
So glad You Both are safe and Prayers to the Injured , Disease and
Missing .. Be Safe in Your Traves ...
Glad you are alright sorry for the loss of lives
🙏
Wow. Looks like the taller trees caught the wind and tumbled. Odd to see that lady in high heels stomping around in the debris 😮
Glad you guys are safe!
Joe, there is no question they are being looked after considering what they and yourselfs have gone through. How almost all the trees landed in the street and not taking out all those buildings. That must have been very scary for you 3 not knowing what was about to happen.
Very nice, unfortunately they got nothing!$$$$ 🙏
Oh my goodness joe quite unbelievable. Keep safe and get home
Will do! Thank you 🙏
It looks like the police, utility workers, and military were right on the clean-up efforts. I've been in hurricanes in the USA and didn't see any such response til days after.
Eshere in the philippines we are battered by typhoon (super typhoon) yearly, we trimmed the trees, fortify the roofs/windosw and as much as possible stay inside.
Thanks folks. 🎉
Our pleasure!
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU ARE AND BE SAFE PLEASE
Will do! Thank you 🙏
OMG 😳 but it's good to see the Vietnamese people just get on with it, can you imagine if the UK got hit with just a tropical storm they wouldn't open the shops for at least a week or two the police would shutdown every street because of health and safety.
JOE! Can you come to my restaurant for dinner tonight!? Opal Moon Bistro 181 Của Đại in HoiAn!!
I wondered WTH,it's a 10 star service
See where Chiang Mai got flooded
We did! Keeping everyone impacted in our thoughts and prayers.
