Some of it is Chinese invested but only a certain percentage. I think up to 50% or 75%, i forgot. But some of it is also Cambodian invested but catered to Chinese tourist, hence the Chinese writings.
Welcome to Cambodia, where the smiles are as big as the rice fields and the hospitality is so warm it’ll make you feel like you’re in a big, loving hug from a giant bear!
@ราชันบุสวาวีกา The Tai borrowed from the Khmer many elements of Indianized culture, including royal ceremonies, customs followed at the court, and especially the Indian epic Ramayana, which influenced not only literature but also classical dance.
Brother in your country Chinese are scamming with Pakistani, indian and Bangali people's...They invite them to Cambodia on the pretense of a good job and then kidnap them and take them to Burma and demand huge money for their release. Please raise your voice for this issue in your country.

I like it! I think the city is not too busy, does not have traffic jam like other Southeast Asian countries. The people also seems friendly and open toward foreigners. I think you are brave that you can just talk and eat all food without worry getting sick. You are really adventurist.
I also got an overall impression about phnom penh from your video. Ken! Great job and interesting experience. Thanks for sharing with us. You can definitely see more and more China's influence in Cambodia nowadays. But Cambodia still maintains some western things, like us currency, due to its colonial history . I noticed the first tuktuk driver whom you met speaks very good English !
The city of Phnom Penh has definitely been transformed since i last visited twice.Once i entered through Siem Reap after Angkor Wat.Cambodia is a interesting country to explore on the whole.Enjoy your time there Ken.💕🇲🇾
Yes, I went to phnom penh a few years ago on a visa run from China. I was supposed to stay just a few days but with visa complications I stayed there for just over a week and a half. I was surprised at how many people could speak English and also how friendly they were. I was also surprised at how cheap the hotel was, it was a very nice and modern hotel just next to the river. Someone suggested I stay at that hotel, if I remember correctly it was The Riverside Hotel. The street I stayed in was street 136 which has a lot of bars and nightlife, as did the other surrounding streets nearby the river. I loved the rooftop cafes/bars with a great view of the city. I loved my stay there and always want to return, this time for a real holiday. My visa problem was with the Chinese embassy but I found that getting a visa for Cambodia was so easy, I got mine in just less than 15 minutes when arriving at the airport. I have heard of people retiring there and being very happy with life there especially it being so cheap. I have thought about it, still thinking about it.
I would say Cambodia has come a long way since the civil war was officially ended in 1998. The whole country and the infrastructure were destroyed from the prolonged wars. The country started to develope within the last 20 years from ground zero so you can't compare it to the neighboring countries. My first returned trip from America to search for my surviving family members was way back in 1995. Luckly, I was able to locate my sister who still lives in PP City. Most of my family members did not survive the horrific genocide there. Enjoy your trip. Peace ✌️
@@dertythegrower I was only 19 when communist Pol Pot took over the country in 1975. I still have nightmares until now. My sister couldn't bring it up as everyone of them died in front of her from starvation and overworked. She was helpless and tried to survive it herself. Hopefully the history will not repeat itself. Peace ✌️
Viewing friendly tuk2 drivers, nice hotel room, the palace looks impressive. Interesting to see a wet market just along the road. A nice haircut n shave. I like the snack the look alike curry fish looks delicious. Oh.... there is casino in Phnom Penh. Overall, Cambodia is nice country to visit. Looking forward to yr next video of this country. 👍🙏😍😍
Great to see you here in Cambodia. Looking forward to watching your videos on this amazing country. *New Years in PP is going to be huge with the opening of the new Walking Street area near the old French Colonial Post Office.
What a wonderful and interesting journey you have taken me/us in Phnom Penh...showing us that cool water front, trying street foods, wet market, casino. Wow, that's a nice haircut and a clean shave. Yeah, you always look a few years younger 👍👍 As always, great content, so impressive and interesting to watch. Thanks for your hard work, Ken 💪💞
I just discovered your channel through the Korea series and I really like your style of vlogging. Honest, polite and without too much 'planning'. Take care and hope you grow : )
Amazing video. Always so entertaining and interesting. That tuk tuk driver speaks good English. Haha...What a cool idea/choice of the hotel management to have the hotel lobby on the 27th floor 😀 A nice and cozy hotel room. Thanks for the tour, Ken and great that you love it 👍👍
It was nice to see a video of my visit to Sejong City in Korea. It is nice to see an Asian travelogue that Europeans can see. I am a resident of Sejong. If you come back to Korea, please come to Busan. Thank you.
Thank you for quick review of the Fairfield by Marriott room. I watched the property being built in the Chip Mong building. As a lifelong Marriott member and now a Bonvoy member, I do appreciate the review but I can recommend the Marriott Courtyard as a better option for about the same price. Closer to the city center and a great breakfast buffet. The Fairfield is more for business stays.
I was just about to recommend trying Amok, then next minute you were trying it! Haha. Go to the Noodle House in Riverside area, their green Khmer fish noodle soup is divine for around $3 a massive bowl (when I was last there). I went every 2-3 days for the same dish, cos it was SO good! The noodles are made fresh in front of the restaurant.

I was checking few days ago (had assumed that you upload weekly) and was fearing that something bad had happened. Haven't watched yet but will do so when I'm having food. Will you be visiting Angkor Wat? Stay safe Ken!
Ken have you noticed that there are many Toyota Prius cars in the City I noticed just about every clip there is one , and I also noticed the generation 2 that is about 15 years old lso popular . Can you ask someone why I'm curious. Great show buddy.
Yeah, there are alots of Prius here because it is affordable and reliable (ranging from 9k-13k$ for 2nd Gen Prius, it's expensive because of tax and shipping cost from US). But right now, people tend to buy new car which is around 25k$ upward ( Some new EV starting from 20k$ upward)
