    Very fine machine, and a fine job sir. Im actually restoring a cub 149 myself and im going to build a front end loader for mine as well. Im always looking for ideas. Ive got about all the components to build it. Im having alot of fun getting into itand learning how all the mechanics work on it. They definitely dont make them like they did then. Anyway, thanks for posting the video.

      Thanks, this little loader has paid for itself and then some just doing little jobs for people. I have a few things lined up to make money on this week with it. Nice thing about it is that it is small to fit through a single gate chain link fence where a big loader cant fit.

      Awesome and one of my favorite models. I am currently building a front forklift attachment for one of mine. If you ever need parts just let me know.

      I made some slip on bucket forks that work ok. I will be making a debris bucket and using the bucket cylinder to open and close it.

      @@lifeundertheline3592 im still building mine at the moment but im confused as to the pump and valve i need. I bought a 11gpm pump from tsc and one of their 2 lever hydraulic valves. Ive read that 11gpm is too fast for it? Any imput on that from your experience?

    can you show how you mounted the pulley for the hydraulic pump

    • @lifeundertheline3592
      @lifeundertheline3592  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I cant get the camera in there. There is s small pulley on the flywheel where the drive shaft hooks up. It is originally for an added on hydraulic pump add on probably for the non ported hydro models.

    Do you know what the number is for the belt that comes from the pto to the gearbox and I found a tiller

      @lifeundertheline3592  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No idea. I just measure with a belt I have here then go up town and get that size.

    149s were built from 71 to 74, guessing Serial number plate not by brake pedal it is not a 74.

      @lifeundertheline3592  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just never got around to look for the serial number. I dont need it for anything and I'm not worried what year it is. I know some guys that research all their tractors but not me.

    Will you sell your tiller?

    thank you for the video, nice job and good explanation. I am in the process of building my homestead in eastern Tennessee and i am looking for a cub cadet to restore and build a dozer blade and a front end loader, what i found around me here is a cub 129, 106 and a 108, wich one you think will work? Or should i wait for a 14 hp, 149, 1450 or even the 1650?

      Hydrostatic is best. If you can get a model with power steering that is even better.

    I'm really glad that I found your video and channel. I'm in the process of building a front end loader for an older john deere 214 garden tractor. I have the scrap steel, valve chest and cylinders but I'm in the process of finding the correct pump. I've heard that a power steering pump from an automobile that has a separate reservoir, but I don't know how true that is.. I built a small tow behind backhoe last year that turned out good, So this years project will be the front end loader... I'm aware that it will only do small jobs/work, but none the less it seems fun and handy. Any types or suggestions will be appreciated.

      I got my pump a 4-6 gpm gear pump fro northern tool and the hoses from there too. I figure if I have to replace it wont be hard to find and not have to wait for someone to make hoses. I got my fittings from discount hydraulic online I think. Been a while since I got them.
