The last time i went to the hospital, i found out i had covid and the nurses who works at the hospital were so rough with the iv's that they damaged my veins, now they collapsed. She also injected my drip full of bubbles when she gave me meds, nearly passed out, they gave me a glass of milk for that. Yup.....

One time when I worked as a hospice CNA I could've sworn I saw my dying patient leave out the front entrance. She was walking well, which she hadn't been able to do before and I was like what the? I go back to her room and find her dead. Still creepy when I think about it. I'm pretty sure I saw her spirit leave.

example my dog, when his rigor mortise kicked in he stayed in the
position I put him and it didn't change.
Before the people came to come take him to cremate him for me.

Yes very possible. A close family member of mine was misdiagnosed as dead. Hospitals like to cover this stuff up so you don't hear about it.

I know a guy in my city who accidentally killed his 4 years old daughter in a similar fashion. She woke up at 5am and went to the garage to say goodbye to her daddy before he goes to work. Unfortunately for her, he didn't notice a thing and ran her over as he put his car in reverse. He felt that something was off and got out of the car and there it was; his daughter's corpse. The man didn't leave his house for years. It must've been 8 years now or something like that.

I worked in the Imaging dept. at the hospital. I would go down to the waiting room, and bring patients down to the Imaging dept for their images. There was this little lady, about 75 years old. I would make small talk to calm down patients, especially those going into MRI, Cat scan or Nuclear Med...because they are enclosed, and can take awhile. Lots of people don't like it, and have panic attacks.
I asked her what brought her in for an MRI, she had already had other tests done.
She said, I don't want to tell you this because you will think I'm crazy.
Of course I didn't think she was, she was very sound, just a very upbeat, hip, lady.
She said, for the last few weeks...I have been seeing my uncle in my house, my mom and dad in the yard, my grandparents in my kitchen...she said it's like a family reunion at my house!
But they have all been dead for years!
Then she went on to say she had been getting test done, and they all came back fine, her doctor thought she was fine...she was very skeptical about what she had been seeing...and she demanded thay her doctor order her more tests.
I believed her, she said....people don't go around seeing dead people! She told me how good they all looked, very young, and happy...smiling, talking, and waving at her.
I told her I believed her. I've heard similar stories before.
What I didn't tell her was....that I'd heard about them before someone passes away.

I know the answer to the third one, the man was in a deep coma similar to death but not quite there yet, when the man was in the freezer he woke up, struggled and then froze to death.
The third story is not scary. Likely the guy came back to life and froze to death. I heard about cases like that.

That would explain why they told the OP he had the wrong body... he said the place had low security, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a mix up and he ended up with a living patient.

Scary but true story. I am up late at night and am in the mood to share a scary story.
I was 26 at the time and I was just orientating night shift. It was out in a pretty isolated area where there was a nursing home, and sometimes it could get pretty sketchy at night.
So the nurse training me was showing me how to work the documentation system for the facility, and a few CNA’s went out to take a smoke break. The facility policy was that the doors were to be locked at all times during the night, especially for safety purposes. We weren’t paying attention, but all of a sudden, we heard a loud bang as somebody kicked the door open.
It was some guy in a hoodie, with a goatee, saying that one of the residents in the facility owed him money. And he wanted to come find him. The nurse orientating immediately told me to call 911 and told the guy to leave. But the guy didn’t leave quietly. He immediately said he was going to come back with his gun and kill all of us and every single person in the nursing facility.
I immediately locked the doors after the guy left. I then yelled at all CNA’s to come into the facility, and lock all the doors and take cover behind the nursing station. As I was on the phone with the police, I gave a description of what happened. Within two minutes, two sheriffs deputies pulled up to our nursing facility, and we gave a description of the guy.
It was a good thing that we did though. When the police stopped him and apprehended him, they found a Glock 9 mm. It looked like he was going to make good on his threat to kill everybody in the nursing facility. It was a good thing I called the cops when I did.
.. I have accumulated eight years of nursing experience since then, but I have never seen any such incident like that. Whoever you are, let’s not ever meet again.

What happened in number 3 seems pretty clear to me: the guy wasn't dead - not initially, anyway. He woke up in the body bag and died in the freezer while attempting to escape and scream for help. Whether he froze to death or died from a panic-induced heart attack, I'm not sure. Awful way to go either way.
Or he tried to scream but was too weak. The hand was behind his back because maybe he was attempting to push himself of the shelf. He should have done some banging, maybe drummed the international SOS signal , but it hard to think when you're in a panic and shock from being taken to the morgue alive and locked in a freezer.

On the guard that works at the hospital in Camden: Dead bodies twitch into different positions more often then you would think. They may even sit right up.
And if they aren't actually dead when they are put into the freezer, they may wake up and then struggle as they genuinely die.

Okay I'm kind of skeptical of that last one as one who had called the ambulance to pick up the little girl? Two how the fuck did they not know she was dead if they had seen her when she went to the hospital. Three the guy said they were visiting? How come no one came in the ambulance with her and visiting suggests they had been there before and she was fine? Four the whole story just makes no sense.
My Name Is Liz I currently work in a hospital and all four stories make sense specially the fourth one. I've seen it happen many times specially on the pediatrics side kids manage trauma much better then adults something similar happen on the trauma department one night and little boy didn't live a normal life but when we got the little boy they was a beat. So in the ambulance they might of found a beat and the family pray for the best and showed up after her. Do you work in a hospital or medical field? At times ambulance leaves without anyone else because they will get in the way of reviving that person. So to me yes they do make sense

I didn't say this situation couldn't happen, I'm not an idiot. Just the way the person who submitted it wrote it out didn't make sense to my ears.

Story 3 - it comes off as a creepy story oozing with narcissism. I’ve never heard an author insist readers were wrong for drawing a conclusion. A conclusion to a narrative they control. There was also the bit where they half-explained something and ended their reasoning with “because idgaf”
That said. These were pretty good overall. I love the narration, so please keep it up as you can.

The story before 8:56. There are so many people pronounced dead accidentally. It happens way more often that you'd think. I'm a neuroscience student and intern at a teaching hospital that is also a med school so we get some hands on experience with dead bodies and the like from people who were generous enough to donate their bodies to science. The heart is an electrically controlled organ because it's a muscle, and a low enough level of electrical activity sometimes isn't detected by the standard equipment used to call time of death. It's rare but it happens. The guy was probably alive and regained consciousness in the freezer, but was unable to escape the freezer as I'm assuming it was locked

That story of the girl got killed by her dads tractors accidentally, reminds me the story that happened to my close friend. I'm 50 years old and this story happened when we were in elementary school. 1 day she went to visit her dad at work, to surprise him. He was running the tractor and my friend kept calling him but he couldn't hear because tractors. So she's running to him to get his attention but no luck. While running she falls and just than her dad was backing up the tractor going over her right leg with 1 tire. Her leg was completely fractured, I don't remember how many parts of her leg were fructured. Now when I think back I relieze how lucky she was. She was at home 3 months before coming back to school with a big cast on her leg and in a wheelchair..

The story about the guy in the freezer (#3) is simple. He was still alive when he was put in the freezer. He woke up and tried to get out. He died there. This happens more often then you'd think. They really should put something inside the compartment, incase it does happen, so that the person can get out.
