Gday folks. Hope you liked the video, don't forget to give it a thumbs up and drop a comment below! It's duely noted by my that my daughter didn't catch a fish in the traditional sense here (cast out, hook on, reel in) but only reeled them in. We may be making a big hoo haa out of something small, but that's what it's like being a dad ... acting like little things are actually awesome big achievements. Life is a lot of fun like that. Next up will be teaching her to cast out herself!
Love seeing the excitement on a kids face when they hook a good fish. Bit of advice careful setting up your rods like that on the bank, I have had a huge fish pull my rod into the water never to be seen again. Since then I have put a sharpen fork stick over the handle or a heavy rock.
Nothing better then getting the kids pumped on it. Thanks for the tip .. never thought of that one haha since I already lost one rod on this trip, i'll have to remember it for next time.
A lot to be said for the simple rig of worms on a single hook and float. As adults we tend to complicate things too much especially with fishing and lures. Most of us grew up fishing with bait as it’s easy and you can just cast it in, leave the rod and just sit. Congrats Emma!
I reckon your right mate. And now they have 'power bait' which is all the rage ... but a simple earth worm from the garden seems to do the trick. I do have to say there is something satisfying about casting out lures and hooking on though.
Happy kids and an engaged dad often lead to a happy wife and mum too! ❤
Absolutely gorgeous and lovely shots, moments with family like these are remembered! 👌👌
Thank you @ervinslens
