Watched this with our boys tonight (15,17) and reminisced on some of our adventures with them growing up. Now they’re off adventuring themselves. Thanks for sharing your high country experience with us. A bit of sneaky biltong never hurt anybody 😂. Nicole aka Perspective Australia
Tnks for watching. It's a great thing that you were able to have those memories together, and now they have the confidence to get out there and explore themselves!
Great video mate. Your kids are going to love all the work you put into these videos when they're older. It's so valuable having these memories immortalised in films and being able to share it with your family. When I was little my dad filmed a lot of our adventures together and made these really odd films that were catered toward my 6 year old humour hahaha. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers mate, thanks heaps for watching. And yeah I also get to look back on them and cherish seeing my kids so small again haha. How good to know your old man made videos for you to watch, that's so cool.
Very enjoyable vid Luke, as always. Great to see your young bloke out there learning the ropes from an expert 🙂 Great looking spot too...takes me back to growing up in NE Vic in the 1960s - your efforts are appreciated 👍
Awesome vid! Good on ya for introducing your young fella to pushing his limits a bit, and in a beautiful area too. Great memories for both of you. Well done! 🏕 🔥 🎣
Well that was so good to see, you and your son... Ethan did good to catch that first trout.. it's such a shame that you have to explain yourself to others, but you did great.. I did all that with my dad at that same age, 7yo.. apparently I was just a well behaved, creative and with similar imagination.. Now, with Grandies, @similar ages - I look forward to taking them out and doing camping/ fishing trips.. thanks Luke for your terrific video.. 👌
Cheers mate. I've really been enjoying your videos as well. Been really helpful as I'm still pretty new into freshwater trout fishing and have a lot to learn.
@Lukeslittletribe I try to explain what I do and where to cast and why we cast there, where to stand in the river, natural line's that kind of thing, thanks brother 🙏
Great little adventure with your son, Luke. I'm looking forward to doing something similar with my boy when it's a little warmer (I'm definitely more soft than you two and don't handle the cold as well 🤣).
Good one. Watched it with my son. He’s 1, so had no idea what was going on. He liked the music and your hat, I think. I’m shorts, serious gaiters, and wading boots in the spring. It’s gonna be a snakey few years.
haha good to know your son likes akubra hats then! Yeah I don't mind the shorts and gaiters as well .. but I mostly use that combo when whipper snipping around my farm in the summer 😂 Thanks for watching
Nice one Luke . I would love to have more subscribers on my channel , but having a place like youtube is a great place to leave memories . I wish I started a channel when my daughters were young (they are adults now ) . We had heaps of outdoor adventures together with only a few photos and stories to remind us . Your channel is going to be a treasure chest of memories for ever . Lovely all the best to you and your loved ones . Thanks for another awesome vid
Thanks for watching mate. I appreciate it. Haha yeah TH-cam can be a hard one to crack for sure. But as you said, having memories stored for the future is something I know I'm going to look back on and treasure. Great to hear you have a wealth of memories with you daughter in getting outdoors!
I met a guy at the carpark when I was leaving and he was going out campign with a fly ... I reckon the fly does really well on these high country streams. Thanks for watching.
Cheers mate thanks for watching. It's a mountain designs 80 litre pack. Not the most expensive pack, and the seems already tore on the shoulder strap just on this trip. But I needed a pack that was big enough to carry sleeping gear for two
Like I said, it was a cheaper pack I picked up. Usually I like to go something a bit smaller and more lightwieght (but better quality) like the neve gear wallaroo pack@@Max-lf4br
Well done Luke. Great to see young Ethan really into the outdoors. It is only right that you take some back up tucker with a 7 year old. Any critics either don't have kids or they are just morons.
😂There will always be a few trolls out there on the internet who need to complain. And yup as I said in the video, the point was to introduce him to the idea and have a great time doing it. Thanks so much for watching.
great father and son moments right there!... building memories and traditions... pretty soon Ethan will be dragging you to new adventures...
Thanks for watching mate. Yeah I hope Ethan catches the love for it and goes on his own adventures in the future.
Wish I had a Dad like you growing up. Good wholesome life building adventures.
Cheers mate thanks for watching the video.

Awesome vid! Good on ya for introducing your young fella to pushing his limits a bit, and in a beautiful area too. Great memories for both of you. Well done! 🏕 🔥 🎣
Thanks Kurt. Really love doing those trips where I go out with my oldest son. I can push him a little bit more then the others. Thanks for watching.
What a great spot and a fun little challenge. Definitely need a little food incase because hangry kids are not fun ha ha. Great vid👌
He did pretty well though, Just a bit of a bitong on top of the trout! Thanks for watching Kate.
Awesome what you are doing with these kids mate. Beautiful location. Can't wait to get back out there.

It's great to take the youngster out and about, mate. Is he adopted?
Cheers mate. Nah he's naturally mine (if that's the phrase for it). My wife is Ugandan.
@@Lukeslittletribe Good on ya mate keep up the good work.
Amazing trip. I'd love to do this with my kids!
Are the high country trout more the target for fly fishing ?

great video, just wondering what pack did you use for this trip?
Cheers mate thanks for watching. It's a mountain designs 80 litre pack. Not the most expensive pack, and the seems already tore on the shoulder strap just on this trip. But I needed a pack that was big enough to carry sleeping gear for two
@@Lukeslittletribe cheers for the info on the pack mate, hope the damage is easily repaired.
Hey mate, I just had a better look .. so it's the Carrion 80L Rucksack from mountain wharehouse@@Max-lf4br
Like I said, it was a cheaper pack I picked up. Usually I like to go something a bit smaller and more lightwieght (but better quality) like the neve gear wallaroo pack@@Max-lf4br
