ROFL !! That is what I was going to post, as well ! I can't imagine how many times I groomed a horse on the racetracks, and picked hooves clean, then sat down to take a break and ate something with never a thought to wash hands first. Now, it's so much habit.

That was nice of your wife getting uses to the cow’s and helping and kind of not be afraid of them. Just keep her away from the bulls that’s a little different thing. Happy Birthday to Andrew 🎂 and I do enjoy your video's I do like cows but my mother-in-law she terrified of cows and a friend of ours is terrified of cow also he had them on he's farm but he would have others people friends and family go in the paster with them but not him he finally got reed of them. GOD BLESS YOU ALL ❤️

Tom our vets recommended 2 weeks for juvenile worms to mature, not 2 months. 2 week rule seems to work well for us!

It's because wormer doesn't kill immature fluke or the eggs. I had to fluke my cattle when they came in because a lot of them were coughing. I'll do them again in February 60 days apart.
Tom we just love the videos with your family in them Joe was amazing as always great to see your sister too but loved the bit with your mum it was so natural to see you together we need more of the ladies in your life they are all amazing it can’t be easy being married to a farmer such long days 365 days a year because I bet even when your off your mind is still racing. I worm them once they are in 3 weeks I was always told once they are in 2 weeks you can worm them and you will kill everything so I give it a extra week love you videos tom
Nice video, I don't know if there still about but in my country we have a patch you can safely glue on the back same spot filled with a red dye so when other cow jumps on it breaks and much easier to see but don't know if there any around maybe worth a go. Why don'y you get jo a fiendly new born calf and get her with your help to raise it might help the fear.

Belated happy birthday to the ginger warrior and a great video not a massive fan either of the 2 month worm think it’s just a little to long to leave it but it must work better just don’t like seeing cows lose condition
Waiting to de-worm could be that the dewormer product doesn't work as well on the baby worms. So the idea is to wait a little for the worms to grow and then all of them get eradicated. That makes for better success academically. But as your experience shows in reality it causes the worms to detract from the cows a bit more than desired.
Great video as usual Tom. Don't know about Nigel having fun, you should be also. Love to see Nigel's progress, as he has been on the farm two years now. Who has his mom around his little finger , yes son of course if dad had suggested that he would of had an earful. Looking forward to your report from Llama.

Nigel is going to keep plenty busy! And I can't wait for baby goats. So wonderful to see your family around on camera too, Jo saying hi and her and your Dad goofing off. You have such a lovely family dynamic, a definite advantage of farm life i think! Just wondering, how do you keep track of bloodlines etc, so there's no inbreeding? Or does it not matter as much with cows? Or do you have to bring in a different bull here and there for different blood eventually?

I’m American. My first job, starting just shy of my 17th birthday in 2003, was at a feedmill. I worked there until 2010. A slow day was 400 tons of hog or chicken feed. I knew plenty of dairy farmers by proxy I was managing the bagged goods warehouse in addition to assisting with feed production.
Despite there being an Ocean between us…the similarities in the industry…there’s just some things that don’t change.
Tom, you remind me of some of the farmers are used to share beers with.
