    Remember the trailer concept of PT? The mysterious Chico's head? With this theory, maybe makes more sense why they used Chico in that trailer instead of another character or a new one.

      I didn't want to include a whole bunch of stuff outside of V and Metal Gear to stay focused, but this is absolutely part of the big picture. I think P.T. could stand for Parasite Therapy, for at least one meaning. Consider all the "centipedes" crawling out of everything, and the "head sucking" and how the monster reaches out with a big LEFT hand, and only a left. Seeing Chico as V I think unlocks an entire layer of interpretation for that PT trailer, and then could provide hints as to the final released PT's meanings as well. Perhaps there's something going on with Norman Reedus' character and parasites? Could Sam Porter Bridges have something to do with this? Did BRIDGES use parasites in turning Lisa into what she was in PT? Is parasite therapy also some kind of psychological thing utilizing time travel? I don't know! But it's interesting to consider it all!

    I've watched this video b4, but let me just say that imo part one "breaking the mirror" has completely changed the way I see the game...from the fake IV to Ishmael never taking damage. I think you should expand upon this more in future videos, as it seems the most grounded in game.
    EDIT: As I'm rewatching the video some points to further expand upon in future videos should be the scene where skull face takes control of the camera in a very distinct fashion, given that Venom is Chico and their history together (Ground Zeros), also a lore video explaining why Chico and Paz have more history compared to the medic and Paz would greatly help further prove your point about why Chico would be the one imagining Paz on motherbase. Also something that adds to your whole "the game (specifically Venoms POV) lies to you" is the fact that in the ending we get to see schizophrenia meds. Which further puts into question not only his struggle as a doppelganger but as to what we can take for granted throughout the story.

    • @DreamingWeaver

      My series of lectures going over MGSV in detail goes a lot more into the "Paz is Chico" idea that I start to unravel here. In many ways, TPP reproduces Paz and Chico in symbolic fashion either adjacent to each other or in the same space, or uses a narrative device to equate the two. In many ways, Paz represents an aspect of the transformed Venom's lost memories of his own past.

    Ayo! J here!
    Sorry, it took me this long to watch this video in full. What a thrill!...
    I'm gonna give you my thoughts and I may have to rewatch the video to elaborate correctly.
    I'm of the belief Venom is the Medic, Big Boss' buddy in msf, a way for KojiProd to personify the player(s), so you'll know where my head is.
    I too think GZ isn't real and I think there is a case to make about the events in the chopper being untrustworthy, both for what is presented in the spotlight and details.
    To me GZ is one of Venom's fake memory; I will paraphrase Ocelot; "he went through all your past missions".
    Chico isn't the only one who loves Paz; nearly all (if not all) of MSF loved Paz; it's not necessarly the same kind of love as Chico had for Paz, but it's love nonetheless.
    For the Concept Art of Chico, you mentioned Fish Hooks, which hints to Bait, a Red Herring. Venom's prosthetic Arm was seemingly an upgrade to the original starting prosthesis: the Split Hook. The Hook both plays in the missing arm, but also Moby Dick. Ahab is the Captain of the Pequod, a Whaling Ship; they are fishermen. Chico having a hook, when he too is like Moby Dick's Ahab, hunting SkullFace, the Whale that took his love.
    My primary language is not English, so this may come from a misunderstanding on my part: One piece of Concept Art for the Skulls depict a Skull with a submachine gun and a knife, his suit seems derived of the Soviet Sneaking Suit of MGS3 and next to him is a badge which says "Super Snake". I'm not sure where the idea of a Super Parasite Suit comes from, I'm simply confused.
    The idea of multiple Paz is interesting. To me it's to highlight Cipher; the lengths and ways of Zero. He didn't take the first spy, there were 9 candidates for the one who would be Paz. Pacifica Ocean's is her true name, Paz is only an identity to infiltrate Big Boss' entourage. When Chico said Paz had died, I think it plays in the theme of loss, double think. He's coping with what he's seen, what he was forced to do. Trauma, fake truth, themes of MGSV.
    The white particules being parasites do confuse me, because it looks like the kind of dust you can find anywhere; simply an effect to add realism; there is dust where there is light, like in real life. But as you showed, in paz's room, they are shaped like parasites or Wolbachia (I only remember the MALE INTO FEMALE part of that scene, I apologize). Are other particules, outside the hallucination, also shaped like so?
    Those are some wild theories, it brings back memories of when Death Stranding was announced, it's a super game, yet I still long for what I thought it meant!
    Keep up the good work!
    Until then, Boss! 07

    • @DreamingWeaver
      @DreamingWeaver  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You'd appreciate it more if you didn't already have your mind made up. Go watch my other videos and tell me again about legs. I explain the Chico symbolism in The Phantom Pain in great detail in the lecture series I made after this, specifically lectures 4, 5, and 12 go over how characters like Malak, Huey, the D-Walker, Shabani, and Eli all collectively lay out what happened to Chico from 1975-1984, and how he ended up in the hospital reawakening as Venom Snake.

    • @rlereza2701
      @rlereza2701 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DreamingWeaver I mean I definitely didn't already have my mind made up, I even thought of other evidence that supports the theory such as when Big Boss rescues Chico from captivity back in Peacewalker he has the whole bit about "Chico, you died here today, dry your tears, then give your life to me." among others. I just think it's adding a layer of complexity that's not really there. Some of the same argument is posed in the "Quiet is Chico" theory and while that theory can have evidence to support it I don't think quiet is Chico either. Maybe saying "no legs to stand on" was too harsh. For what it's worth I really did appreciate how you put everything together and it revealed a lot of nuance in things such as a deeper understanding of Kojimas music choices and also the mirror therapy thing I definitely feel had influence to the way scenes were presented I never noticed that before.We just don't agree on the conclusion that's all no harm done 👍

    • @DreamingWeaver
      @DreamingWeaver  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm asking you to see the rest of my arguement before going on. This video was just the introduction into the idea. The real evidence is not here, and this video is just supposed to help people see the foundations of how it's possible. You say you just don't think the layers are there, but I have definitely done the work to show them. They're in the other works I did after this one. That's what I mean by not making up your mind. Everyone by default has the stance you do after playing MGSV. The game programs the audience to be exactly this way, to be resistant to just interpreting the art like every story, instead just accepting the surface level and the popular interpretations. If you just go listen to the rest of what I've said in the lecture series, you can then start to tell me that we just see it differently. I know stories and storytelling very well, and I'm not just some schmo spinning theories. These ideas come from the text. I can show you that if you just take the time to see it. If you simply mirror Chico's face, you will see the patch lines up one to one with Venom and his wound. Trust me here. Venom is definitely representing Chico. He's more than that, too, but that's the first step in understanding and finding real Peace.

    • @rlereza2701
      @rlereza2701 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@DreamingWeaver To clarify I did watch I'm pretty sure all your videos in this series and also I don't think you just spun the theory out of nowhere you definitely have evidence to go with the theory. I just take the stance that the mirroring of Venom/Chico is more metaphorical than physical/literal. I agree with a lot of your points and the correlations you draw in this and in your other vids. I'm not trying to change your mind and in retrospect my initial words I used didn't do justice to how much work went into this series and the theory behind it. I mean hey I could be wrong and you could be right I don't know 100% for sure. Like I said initially, great vid. Over the years Metal Gear has been the most fun puzzle box to mentally chew on. I also wander if ground zeros incident was (like everything about the game, while playing it) was part of the hypnosis venom underwent for his transformation, as it was Bigboss’s most recent mission. Venom isn’t voiced by hayter, most people see this as an inconsistency, since Bigboss seems to be voiced by Sutherland too. What if part of the hypnosis to convince himself he was Bigboss that in these recreated missions venom hears his own voice instead of bigboss’s real voice. One plot hole that I can think of is in truth, when it seemingly completely separates from venoms perspective, Bigboss still sounds like venom, however if that conversation between ocelot and BB at the end of truth was recorded it could be that even venom hears the recording of Bigboss as his voice due to a lingering effect of the hypnosis or even a side effect of his frontal lobe being damaged if he can see things that aren’t there or not see things that are, maybe it effects sounds the same way. Another plot hole that I can’t put together is how kaz talks about Paz and how he acts like he didn’t know she was a double agent when at the end of peace walker he admitted he knew the whole time.

    I'll add some fuel to this in the meta and in the canon of the games, even though the video is a couple years old now. So, meta level, a lot of people had ideas that Chico WAS in the game and not cut content but decided that Chico had to be Quiet IF Venom was the Medic. Chico not being cut content was on the table for many, due to the many logistics of the situation. Now, in Jamais Vu we see a Cyborg Ninja with white hair going against parasites. This is a pseudo-historical recreation. I assert it's Gray Fox, utilizing a prototype of the cyborg exoskeleton or Skull Suit that Venom can develop later on. This would work as he'd be well past Null and on his way to becoming Gray Fox in FOXHOUND, Big Boss AND Zero's American task force. It would explain why he's getting help from Miller and Ocelot, and why they call the parasites Snatchers, as if you saw the zombie-like infected in TPP, you'd probably say the same. It would also explain why on a meta level we play as the cyborg ninja, as Chico in the meta concept art was likely to be a low tech cyborg ninja. Lastly, the parasites that Quiet and Code Talker have clearly can do visual changes to the person. It can turn them invisible layer by layer, fully invisible, and can change the color of their skin as with the black butterfly-like pattern that is on their faces. Now if you know the parasites can prolong life, can heal or reduce damage, can change visual aspects of a person, why not use it to make a new Naked Snake? If Chico believes he's Big Boss, he would change his visage to mimic that, and if you're like me and feel Chico is characteristically non-violent it also changes the context of Demon-Venom as an actual alteration in appearance and not a karma system. More than that, if you have a Skull Chico it explains easily why he can walk despite bolted achilles, it explains why the line in promo material is "two phantoms", it explains why Quiet wouldn't want to use the parasite against him, why she would actively celebrate his birthday, why on a meta level the camera looks on her in a sexualized way, it can be extrapolated that in Chico's subconscious he knows Paz is dead which is why Venom doesn't exude the behavior of a crush onto her, but that behavior (fantasizing about a crush, going against orders to attempt to help said crush) are plastered onto Quiet. As well, Chico characteristically is non-violent as I stated I believe, and every passive choice you can make is specifically Venom's choice. The players' inaction is Venom's action. Those choices are (not) killing Quiet (who I expressed Chico places his crush on) and (not) shooting Skull Face. The latter being him freezing up, as he did when Skull Face confronted him and ChicoVenom was unable to take the shot. If you do shoot Skull Face, his left arm is removed as Venom's was when Paz exploded, otherwise Miller aims and his wounds are placed on Skull Face. The wounds both are from Paz's death, mind you. And despite the monster Skull Face is, the torment administered to Venom and Kaz, Venom does not kill him. He also does not kill Eli in 51, assuming potential canonicity, despite the English strain being in Eli and therefore being a potential world-ending threat. Venom knows Eli is not his son at this point, so it's not a familial connection. I think that the reason child soldiers are such a huge thing in this game is because of Chico. Chico WAS a child soldier more or less, it makes complete sense that if Chico is Venom, then Venom saving the child soldiers, saving Eli, and all of that substory those would be the actions taken. Assume this, remove Venom from the game, just photoshop him out, put a Chico that is older and "trained" by Big Boss in Venom's place. Does any action we see in cutscenes or in canon moments not make sense? Ocelot and Miller already know Venom isn't Big Boss, hell the Mammal Pod knows, Skull Face knows, etc. Ishmael being the medic shows why he can show you how to patch up serious injuries when you're atrophied and freshly missing an arm, etc.

    • @uzweilousthefan6801
      @uzweilousthefan6801 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, secondarily, we don't see Snake eat or sleep, despite the day/night cycle Snake can simply keep going nonstop. The only thing we DO see is when you're "dirty" flies swarming around you. Could they be eating the parasites coming off you as the parasites kick in to overdrive because you aren't using them supplementary? As we see from the Quiet scenes, water is vital to the parasites as they are like plants with the photosynthesis. When you return from an extended stay in the field and are "dirty" Ocelot has a bucket of water READY to toss on you with only a notice of "You stink, Boss". Now, enemies in the field CAN smell you when you're dirty, and Occam's razor and all, but Kojima does love the truth within the truth concepts like the S3 being layer on layer, so I assume in my interpretation of canon following this video that Ocelot does the bucket trick to help the parasite because he doesn't know when Venom will shower.

      You'll want to go over the whole MGSV Explained lecture series I did for the full deets on the timeline. Short answer is the events of TPP we play start in 1986 and mission 31 happens around 1994, and then missions 32-46 show events from 1996-2004, linking everything from before MG1 to the setup for Shadow Moses in 2005. To get the 1975-1986 stuff gets more complicated but it's also there in TPP's structure.

    I have so many questions after watching this, but I suppose the most obvious one is if Chico was Venom wouldn't he still have the hole in his chest that he had during Ground Zeros? Since you can play venom without covering his chest the hole should be there still? Has anybody checked it? I presume it's not there if nobody made such an obvious connection. I do like the Chico is Venom idea since after the crash Chico is just removed from the story entirely with no explanation to my knowledge.
    But it also seems clear now that MGSV is clearly a kind of surrealist game, the point seems to be that there are no answers, I really dislike that, MGS1 was my first game in the series, and to see the last game in the series sort of devolve into an attack on story telling and meaning in itself is disappointing in a way. Sure mysteries are fun, but to a point, I think MGSV sort of crosses that line. I still like that people like you are trying to figure it out, but just wonder if it's worth it in the end.

    • @DreamingWeaver
      @DreamingWeaver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So, the hole in Chico's chest is kind of a metatextual thing. Chico is being made to "listen to his heart" here. It's very likely the Chico we see is a virtual recreation, and this (I presume) addition to his physiology is like the reopening of the (fake) Paz's wound in TPP. It's meant to describe Venom's, and the player's state of mind at this point in the story. And since Venom has a healing factor, any such hole would be long gone so many years later.
      I think the way this game expects you to do all the legwork on figuring out the Truth is akin to the message of MGS2's ending. When Snake tells us to find our own meaning and not just accept what we're given or told, that is also meant to be applied to the Metal Gear games. V takes this to the limit by presenting you with this multilayered narrative. You can kind of find almost too much meaning here, and that's the point. You have to know yourself how to find your own meaning. I think this is the core of what Zero was trying to teach Chico.

    • @DeCoR18
      @DeCoR18 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DreamingWeaver That's interesting I didn't know that it was his heart he was listening to, and while I accept the Chico we see could be VR, the original mission where the real Chico existed would presumably still have this hole? Unless this is just surrealist too. Okay I guess that makes sense with how Venom is healing, but it's sort of blurry to me when gameplay mechanics are used to justify stuff like this in story telling.
      I am not an existentialist, so by nature I will never be satisfied with a game that does not have an objective truth at the end of it or that is discover-able, so it's possible that the multilayered narrative is just not for me. Truth is meaning to me, so to have a game where the truth is very clearly being obscured on multiple levels would be okay if it was solvable. I don't know if you would agree that the story/plot/characters are unsolvable since you made a video trying to solve it, but that's just my gripe that if you view truth as meaning like I do, I don't really see how you can view it as satisfying.
      But apart from that congratulations on the video must have taken a tonne of work, I'll be watching it again soon. I found the time travel stuff fascinating too, never heard of that anywhere, even Futurasound who seems to be analyzing everything in MGS has never discovered those connections to my knowledge. Hope the video continues to gain views in time.

      @@DeCoR18 Tune in when I release these new videos that I'm working on right now. I have a more thorough explanation for the holes in Chico's heart and head, and what all was going on with them. Short answer: those are the wounds from where he was surgically implanted with the parasite. And since his body was destroyed in the bombing, the wound in his chest would have healed. The one in his head is still there, in the form of his archaea horn. (The way we see Chico in Ground Zeroes is mirrored, so the bandage is on the opposite side.) The archaea itself is derived from Volgin's parasite and thus it can't be destroyed with explosions--it just absorbs the energy and grows.

    Well...I appreciate all the effort put into arguing for a novel way to look at this game. I was already onboard with the 'Chico is Venom' idea, as well as the idea of Death Stranding being a follow-up to Metal Gear's world, although I have to say all the stuff involving Survive and time travel being invoked...I wouldn't put it past Kojima to invoke time travel (especially to explain plot holes), but honestly that's a direction that kills investment for me. One big question comes to mind: If Zero really was some time-traveling genius (whose technology is derived from an apocalypse instigated by technology he created), then why did he not have the foresight to predict MGS4? What is the point to a prequel revealing the Patriots had access to time travel tech?
    I would argue that all the advanced cutting-edge technology seen in the 'historical' games really is just a reflection of how top-secret military projects are often multiple decades ahead of what is publicly acknowledged. The anachronisms in MGSV could still set the game in the '80s without expecting us to accept the game taking course over 9 years OR time travel getting involved. The 'wormholes' being unlockables, much like Quiet being recruitable even after her disappearance, feel more like a gameplay bonus (or acknowledgment that it's all a simulation) than something to take seriously - though I'm sure people can point to MGS2 as featuring quantum tunneling tech before.
    I'm not exactly sure what you're implying with Paz - is it that the Paz in Peace Walker really did die there, and the one found in Ground Zeroes is a different Paz? Did THAT Paz die for real? I still would like to think Paz was used as a trojan horse to infect everyone on that helicopter with parasites...and that concept art of Quiet initially looking exactly like Paz makes me wonder if she was meant to be the same person. Also, that old crackpot 'Chico is Quiet' theory...might have something to it, in the sense Paz/Quiet had her face and hair modified to resemble a feminine 'Chico' as a way of subconsciously encouraging Chico/Venom to recognize a similarity between him and her.
    I remember reading one theory about MGSV being about finding a way to break out of a time loop, with its ending showing Venom finding a way to actually break that cycle and step out into the unknown. Would be nice for Chico to find his own future instead of being doomed to being an anonymous victim of history.

    • @DreamingWeaver
      @DreamingWeaver  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're assuming here he didn't want what happened in 4 to happen exactly how it happened, but I see what you're getting at! I think MGS4 pulled the wool over our eyes in the same way V has, and I think this kind of deception probably goes at least back to MGS3's plot as well. That's where the parasites came from, after all, and it's a pretty incredible coincidence that the introduction of the parasites in V doesn't mean anything in 3 needs to be retconned, but instead just provides more context.
      Re: Paz. I'm not sure exactly what happened with Paz, but here are the possibilities I see:
      1. There's only 1 Paz. She died in PW, was fished up, revived, then killed again. She would have been given parasite therapy previous to all this, for mission purposes.
      2. There were multiple Paz's, and the one that died during the PW ZEKE incident is truly gone, and she was replaced by a parasite therapy clone Paz, "fished up," and captured and killed by Skull Face.
      In either case, I don't think she was the "trojan horse" for parasite infection, but instead just for the bomb. The parasites don't infect anyone just by mere contact, or else they'd spread like wildfire. We can assume, I believe, that anyone who has had parasite therapy and is a host to the parasite probably has been completely irradiated, rendering their parasite inert and unable to reproduce and make new generations of itself (thus it would only replace its own old copies). Consider how Paz's bomb mirrors the bombs given to each of the Cobras, minus the Boss--perhaps this was the "missing bomb" from 3 in a weird, twisted way?

    • @mattmedrala1947
      @mattmedrala1947 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DreamingWeaver I'm still not exactly sure what MGS4's 'deception' was here, although I suppose the continuation of the franchise represented in Rising/Survive (and Death Stranding) could allude to Zero's ideas existing even after he and his AIs are 'gone'. I guess I still consider time travel/multiverses/simulation theory a step too far in trying to understand the overarching 'timeline' of the Metal Gear series, but that's personal preference - the series is already fantastical enough for those ideas to not be far-fetched.
      I also like the idea of Quiet being 'a' Paz, partly because her relationship with the grown Chico is a nice bookend to the traumatic relationship they had in their 'youth' in GZ. I still think "MGSV as Chico's tragedy" is the most compelling reading of this game, and in a way it adds to the tragedy that the majority perspective contributes to the erasure of Chico's identity by reducing the person he plays into a 'pawn' of his idol.
      I actually just figured that the Boss never needed to self-destruct partly because it was planned all along for her disciple to kill her AND there was a bombing run set to dispose of her corpse immediately after. But paralleling her to Paz does raise a question I've considered - was Paz's appearance intentionally chosen to subconsciously remind Big Boss of his mentor, in a parallel to how she apparently first met him when he was a teen barely older than Chico? One can go further down this rabbit hole and consider if the "Enfantes Terribles" project was just an extension of a pre-existing project to create clones of the Joy. I'm reminded of how a very early idea for MGS5 was to have it be about the Cobra Unit's experience in WW2, and how Paz's abusive upbringing might in a way hint at the trauma that molded the Joy into the Boss.
      I've seen some theories that worked really hard to draw some connection between P.T./Silent Hills and Metal Gear - I'm not taking it seriously since not everything made by a creator has to fit in the same 'world', but there definitely is an interesting parallel between Silent Hill's depiction of multiple dimensions and the elements of multidimensional travel that MGSV/Survive/Death Stranding feature.

    • @RossOfRoni
      @RossOfRoni 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mattmedrala1947 You should check out my update video I just released! I go into the ideas you touch on here just a bit.
      To put it bluntly here, I think that Paz was definitely a clone of Joy, but also I think she's more than that. Her powers (if she is indeed also Quiet) indicate she has photosynthesis, meaning she also has The End's "children" as part of her genetics. She might also have some of The Fear's ability to manipulate his body.
      And going back to what you started your comment about: I think the "Big Boss" at the end of MGS4 was actually Solidus. Think about how we see him die in MGS2, then compare that to the other "parasite soldiers" we know of. Do you think a few cuts with a sword was enough to completely kill Solidus and stop his parasites from reviving him? I doubt it! I think the MGS4 we experienced was only really half of the story, because I think there's evidence that Metal Gear actually takes place over 2 timelines of mostly the same events that repeat themselves after the "first" time thru the events.
      I'd suggest watching the movie "The Final Countdown" for a reference point in how I am approaching trying to crack how Metal Gear uses time travel. To be sure, I think time travel has always been part of the equation, and its use has been "redacted" from the public's eyes for various reasons. The tracing of Chico to Venom to Gray Fox and Null is the main evidence that we have some kind of time travel happening--if Chico was born in 1962 and became V in 1975-86, how could he have been participating in the events depicted in Portable Ops? I'm not going to suggest that Null just wasn't there--it makes more sense he traveled back in time at one point then re-lived some parts of the timeline. This also sets him up to be a random soldier on MSF's base in 1974, and then that also makes him a possible candidate to be Metal Gear Survive's Captain who travels to Dite and then (maybe eventually) comes back from that future. So it's not really a "time travel to change the past" thing, it's actually "time travel to fulfill the past," with maybe a side of Back to the Future's "don't erase yourself from history" idea there to kind of establish some rules and boundaries.
      Edit: Whoops, just saw I made this on my other account. But this is me! (The only me isn't me.)

      @@RossOfRoni Cool, thanks for telling me about your video further developing these ideas! I'll have to see it first before I can really formulate a proper response, but I can sort of see a continuity between Gray Fox and Venom. I remember seeing Python Selkan's videos where they seemed quite convinced that Venom IS Gray Fox, but on top of that they alluded to some possible theories about MGS6 possibly continuing his story - wonder if this ties in with your idea that the 'real' Big Boss is still a dormant prisoner of the Patriots.
      Wow, I hadn't really considered Paz as having powers prior to her (possible) rebirth as Quiet, but I'll definitely want to see what the evidence for that is. Just glad to see someone else is entertaining the Paz as Joy clone idea!
      Another thing that I remember from Selkan's videos, that I'm not sure you might have a hypothesis about, is them pointing out an apparent discrepancy in the timeline regarding the fate of the 'real' Naomi Hunter. They somehow extended that theory to question if this Dr. Hunter was the same person as Dr. Clark/Paramedic, and seemed to put into question what her fate was too. Personally I'd love to have a physical cameo from her older self as we've already seen the deaths of Singint and Zero, and it's not a hard leap to consider Clark had oversight on Venom's enhancements as a precursor to her experiments on Fox. Something to think about anyway.
      I hope to have more to say when I get around to your updated theory. I'm glad to see people still putting work into creating original and well supported interpretations of this game.

      @DreamingWeaver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jamais Vu is meant to seed this idea of body snatchers, the idea being that Chico with his whole interest in cryptozoology would be a perfect audience for this kind of side op. There's also an interesting thing going on with "Raiden's" voice in Jamais Vu, but it's hard to put a finger on exactly what's up with it. I think it sounds like there are two different voices there, one of them is like his normal voice we know of, but it's produced by some kind of electronic box (like he sounds in MGS4 when he's wounded) while layered beneath that is another, deeper voice that sounds suspiciously like David Hayter's soothing croons.
      Since "Snatcher" is also a previous Hideo Kojima game, Jamais Vu adds to the self awareness present in that side op and Deja Vu. Metal Gear has always been somewhat self-aware, but I'd say those two side ops are the most explicitly aware of their own nature as being in a video game. In other words, Jamais Vu serves the purpose of making the player think that this is all just a game, which has this weird side effect of making us not look as hard into the other actually mysterious things going on in GZ and TPP. It's like by making this side op and the cross-universe connection something of a novelty they do a little magic trick and make us not realize there's much more that they're (not) telling us beneath the surface.

    Chico couldn’t have gone through puberty, and some how ended up jacked and 2 feet taller in a few years while just laying there.

    I don’t think it’s misunderstood but more so confusing because of they purposely designed the story this time. They almost used the FromSoftware form of story telling this time.

    But there is a problem chico wasn’t even a teenager at ground zeroes suddenly after 9 years he is 50 years old? I think even kojima got confused by his own complicated story and made few mistakes that are irreversible he just couldn’t admit it so he created the story of the phantom pain to try to at least close some of the holes and paradoxes in the game

    The algorithm presented this to me as I watch quite a lot of MGS videos being a big fan since PS1 MGS. I enjoyed this, the quality of production is very high. I found bits of it hard to follow and confusing but that's on me! Wild theories though, you've obviously thought about this a lot! I don't know how I feel about the story in MGSV, I just know that when I play it I love it, I like to think I know what is going on but I don't really, which is why I watch a lot of videos about it so I can try and figure it out. I like that it isn't easy to figure out and provides more questions than answers. I like to think it's from a creative genius that is beyond my level of comprehension, which is likely the truth.

    you lost me when you said there maybe something unnatural on his genes to keep Eli looking young and to defend that position you use Paz being 20 pretending to be 16. its pretty common to short women being annoyed by people thinking they are not past 18 when they are almost 30. So for paz to pretend she is 4 years younger she must be naturally short and doest need laboratory intervention. so it makes no sense to explain Eli
