It's 2024 and I'm still listening to this man I think he is one of the best country singers that they have
The 90s was the last era of good country music who ever agrees with me put those thumbs up
The crap they play on SiriusXM The highway is disgusting.
Amen to that
Today's Country music consists of the likes of Taylor Swift LOL
@@archer102356 no one even comes close to Dwight
Yeah but Sturgill. And Miranda. Country is there still if u look.
2024 and still as great as ever!
I'm just discovering Dwight in 2024. I'm a bit obsessed with his music now, awesome stuff!
Always and forever ♥️
@RhettK1996 you shall be for awhile 😂❤
Met him years ago at Mickey Gilles Roadhouse. Couldn't love him more.❤
And still rocking those tight pants!!
Elvis was smiling when heard Dwight sing this great song
Indeed
FANTASTIC singer and performer! And a great gentleman! Had the opportunity to meet him and talk briefly with him. Was an honor and privilege. Thanks Mr. Yoakam!
How very fortunate to have met such a wonderful man😊☮️
Not many can sing this song...but Dwight can sing the greatest of the greats...thanks for sharing your gifts ...God bless you Dwight ❤
Country artists today need to sit down and watch this amazingness. Decades later and this man is still killing it! Yoakam knows inspiration, he invented it.
Exactly 💯💯💯💯💯
Love it. Well said!
Got that right. Dwight has forgotten more than most artists now days will ever learn.❤
For real these guys must have the same writers cuz it all the same shit!!
One of the few artists who could give respect to an Elvis song.
Elvis was one of Dwight's idols, as well as Buck Owens. This is one helluva tribute!
I guess that makes sense as to why he covered "crazy little thing called love"
Absolutely..i love dwight, his voice speaks to my heart and soul
Oh my this is one of his best ! Dwight has talent ,just as Elvis did ,*lol take Dwight anyday
I melt when that man sings
Hank Williams plus Buck plus Elvis makes Dwight Yoakam!!!
Dwight can rock any song! One of the best singer still today. 🙂
Thanks for your love and support.🌴💕 I hope you'll not stop supporting me, fans like you are the reason we keep moving.🎶🎸 God bless you.❤️
@@dwightyoakamofficial2794 BOT!
Two breathtaking men I could look at 24/7....Travolta's walk into to Sat. Night Fever, and Yoakam "poured" into Levi's and leather pants!...WHEW! Hot in here!!
His covers are always superb
My favorite singers of Elvis songs (in order they come to mind, not preference) are: Dwight Yoakam, Ronnie McDowell, Ricky Van Shelton, & Raul Malo (the Lead Singer of The Mavericks). This is the best remake of this song, you'll ever hear. Dwight nai!ed it! You'd never think it was a remake either. Wright's always been known to anyone's songs & ace them just as though they were his own. This is proof of that. :) Great taste in music, btw. :)
I have to admit, I was never a huge fan of country music. Dwight has converted me. I find myself wishing that I was as talented as this man. God bless you Mr Yoakam
Those jeans...those pants.....Worth the price of admission right there.
Dwight wasn't the most handsome man in country, but damn that man knew how to wear clothes.
He had the sex appeal. Tightest jeans in country music history, always a formal rhinestone studded jacket, the boots and cowboy hat 😍🤠 And my fave Elvis song❤
i totally agree with other comments saying that dwight was probibbly the most underrated, repeat underrated, country singer in the history of country music , what a great voice to listen to along with his great band .
I would hardly call multiple Grammys as underrated. However, I agree that he is a great artist.
@@txagcol1 i respect ur reply but what i mean by him being underrated is sure he got the odd award but he should of got a few more and he was never talked about or rated at the same level of other big country artists , anyway thats my opinion.
He was too country for Nashville and went to Ca. Go figure . Great singer writer
Absolutely!!
@@Mosely2007 LOL....NASHVILLE GOT A TASTE AND BEGGED HIM TO COME BACK......GOD BLESS BUCK OWENS.....
He does justice to this classic and the King will live on through it.
to me. elvis aint got shit on Dwight. such a great voice in country and music in general.
💘 him gorgeous awsome voice
Finally someone with some taste
N. ROOD Ioo su
He brings a f a g o t vibe to the classic...
We only ❤️ have a blessed time with great friends ❤️ who have been a wonderful friend of music
Probably my favorite Elvis song. It loses nothing when Dwight sings it.
Elvis gave this a thumbs up from Heaven.
the King would approve.
Just jelous
AMEN 🕇🙏🕇😎👍
I thought he was in Michigan....
No.
Best version,Dwight's one of the top country singers
Der Typ am wheel of fortune ist der Hammer!!
Kids today have no idea who this man is, was, there to busy listening to moddern pop culture country God bless them
One of the rare times a cover is better than the original.
Gimme a break, please...
Isn't he one of the world's soulful and incredible singers love his music forever love you Sir
Hey how are you doing today?
I loved me some Dwight Yoakum. Now he is married in his 60s and a Dad. Love looking at his videos when he was hot in his jeans, that hat and listening to that voice! 🥰
One of my favorite Dwights performances
Dwight is one of those singers that can take a hit from the past, and do it up in a way that makes it his own and sounds just as great as the original.
He is awesome 👍😎 Really ....
yo bro!!!! get back to radio you n your music R truly missed!!!
Truth
He sounds so much like Buck Owens- it's wonderful!!
Never knew this was not an original song
I love this song and as soon as I heard Dwight sing it, I was hooked forever on his voice and music 🎶
I loved him from the very beginning way back in 1986
Me too ,recorded it 5 times in a roll on cassette tape in 93
The best version of this song ever.
Dwight can only make suspicious minds sound so good! I've heard others cover play this song. They can't do it.. Dwight kicks ass in this song
It's hard to pull off an Elvis Presley song. For Dwight he's perfect
I never knew this was an Elvis song
Long live the King.
The Fine Young Cannibals tried it out, back in 1986. ✅️
This version is better than Elvis in my opinion. And that’s hard to do.
@@WalkerSmallEnginePerformanceciao Chuck! 🙋♀️😊😘💘🌅
He is amazing. Dwight has a style and voice that is only his.
Hello judy😊😊
Now, take all the female singers and tell me who stands out with a voice of their own….
Reba
And he can still rock a pair of tight blue jeans..:)
A fact indeed 😅

Dwight is arguably the greatest country vocalist of all time. It's just incredible
?
I am not a big fan of country music but I love this.
Hello beloved supporter thanks for your outmost love and support
Bellissima versione! Bellissima, voce... 😊🤗😍😘🎶🎸🎶💘❤️💋💯🌅
Never get tired of hearing this version.
OMGoodness this brings back so many memories! I loved everything about Dwight Yoakam, his beautiful sexy blue eyes, his moves, his voice, everything!!!
Dwight should has been considered as the best country-rock singer of all times.
Yes , he can yodel too, many singers cannot.
This was my mom's favorite song by him. Luckily back in 2017 I got the chance to take her to see him live. This was the last song he sang that night. We both cried during this performance. Sadly i lost my mom back in December 2023 to cancer.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. I'm glad, though, that you have this wonderful memory with her and Dwight 😊
The BEST remake of all time. Dwight Yoakum, you rock.
I buried my beloved daddy today... This was one of our favorites. I will love you and miss you forever.
@Dwight Yoakam Thank you so much.
Hello beloved supporter thanks for your outmost love and support
Well heck yeah. That was real country music.
Seriously one of the coolest guys of the 90's. The guy just oozed coolness
I remember being 6yrs old,I was in and out of hospitals till I was 14,I have a thyroid condition, so I couldn't go outside and play with other kids.needless to say, I schooled at home.I blush about this now..I stayed home 80%of the time,my aunt would babysit a majority of the time, and I seen this video one day,and I was hooked..Yes HUGE crush, and my aunt would laugh every time she had to play this song and video, because she said "Lisa you can't have a crush on a older man",and I cried...And I said "That's not fair,I LOVE him,and she laughed, but I was 10000000000% serious and said,I like his pants and how he moves with the guitar,I LOVE him,he dances like a man".Now I'm from Baltimore md, you NEVER see stuff like that as a kid.And I eventually grew up,and married a man who could be his twin, but my husband refused to wear tight pants. He called them "Butt hugger jeans".So one Halloween I BEGGED my husband to be Dwight Yoakam, and he did!! And EVERYONE said "Yo you look like that cowboy country singer" and my husband got embarrassed, but I was like "Thank you I've been telling him this since I met him".But if I ever got the chance to actually meet Dwight Yoakam, idk what I'd do. I just Love Dwight,he introduced me to country music. All of my friends were all into rap, goth, pop,R&B I did as well, but Dwight will always be the reason that I have a love for ALL music. But hands down Dwight best cover of Elvis, and YES I still LOVE Dwight. He was my 1st crush, and always will be..He's a legend to me.Hes also a true Gentleman. I wish he toured in Baltimore md, but not yet..Dreams come true..
Hey how are you doing…?
D .Yokam, truly one of a kind !Not soon to be duplicated💯✌️👍
30 years ago, I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, to this song. Love you forever C.B. ❤
"Anyone can play can play, Some can win, but everyone can lose." Truer words never spoken.
I know that Dwight Yoakum was really an underrated country singer, so much talent, great voice, and not to mention the most series man alive with those tight skin jeans, and his dancing moves, OH WOW!! The most sexiest man alive!!! Love you Dwight Yoakum, would give anything to be your age because I think I could have rocked your world or die trying!!!
Olga well you can rock my world
Yes! He's HOT!
dwight has great dancing moves but elvis had better moves! sexist man
nah i think george strait, tracy byrd several others! sexier!
BUT we do have our different likes and dislikes! :D
He may have been under-rated in the country music world, BUT, he was a HUGE hit / albums sold, in the mainstream pop / rock world, back in the day
Oh yeah....him and those tight jeans... Wow!!!!
Dwight did for country like Elvis did for rock and roll...❤
Dwight brings cool to country music.
Great singer of country music. Always loved his music. Loved his role in Slingblade.
Crank 1 and 2
I reckon I agree with you on that. You need any help a totin' that warsh? I reckon I could use a few more cans of that there potted meat, if you got any extre. Mmmhuu.
@@richardbell3891 “I reckon I’m on have to kill you “……..that sound was like a machete in a watermelon . Great movie.
THE KING would have been impressed with DWIGHT'S remake of this great song.
Dwight, ..with his best Clint Eastwood voice-impression at 0:49 🤠 💓
80s pop became 90s country and it was awesome!
Dwight has made me fall for country music again.
THE KING WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD.
Country music will always stay country because he will make sure
Love this song with his twang, still listening to this in 2024!!
One of the best voices in the business
If you haven't been to his concerts, you need to go - The guy can rock it on stage with country, hillbilly, country rock and one hell of a story teller!
Love his concerts.
When I was visiting my cousins he was playing at one of the casinos in Palm Desert......his tickets were very expensive (at least for me) for the better seats... So I am saving my dollars and whenever he's in the SF Bay area I'll be ready! I hope.
Unfortunately I live in Australia I just have to be happy with TH-cam
I adore his talent, have never seen him in person & he's Touring now, will be in Salina, Ks next week, at the Steifel Historic theatre. It would be an amazing place to see his band. I just found out! There are only a few seats left too. I just can't pay over $200 per ticket right now. He's in Albuquerque tonight!
I saw him in concert at Lubbock Tx. He rocks!!! Love this man!!
Why do I love this version more than the original?
Let's don't let good thing dye 💙💙💙😘
He's the one and ONLY Dwight Yoakam..so unique and one of the best Country singers...PERIOD. fan
He's as good of an actor as he is a singer 💯
He studied acting in school
Definitely. Sling Blade was an awesome movie and he was great playing the part in that movie. Ive seen other movies with him also but Sling Blade is the one that comes to mind .
He was good in Panic Room also.
I was just a kid when this came out. My grandma had the tape of Dwight yoakam. My grandma was a huge Elvis Presley fan as well. I remember playing her tape with this song on repeat as a child because I loved this song. Now fast forward to this day, I was reminded of this song due to going through a period in my marriage of that jealousy. Husband has been reassuring me a lot but says he can't take the false accusations. When this song landed right in front of me I had no idea years ago as a child playing it on repeat, I was going to need it one day.
Nobody does it like Dwight Yoakam. I became a huge, huge fan when A Thousand Miles from No Where came out.
Helped heal my broken heart after losing my son and a sister who went nuts over Dwight. That was when I found out what a talent he was and still is - Dwight Yoakam you rock!
Dwight took this song and made it his own
Proud to have been a fan from the beginning! Saw him in concert 5 times. Even met him backstage once! Never will forget it!
Love love you Dwight Yoakam ❤
I hope Dwight knows how good he is, and never stops singing or leg tapping.
Damn fine actor too. He did a hell of a job in Slingblade.
Genar Beard and panic room
Yes sir I call dwight the doyle hargrave band lmao
I thought he was great in Wilfred.
Goliath is good too
He only got that role cause he plays cards with J.D. Shellnut.. chief of police.
❤ I Love You Very Much. Dwight Yoakam❤❤❤❤❤
The energy of this song brings out the raw animal in me. Now I desire a woman to love and please with my heart and my soul till bliss overcomes us together now. Amen.
Only DY could cut an Elvis song. Massive talent, real country. My child hood right there. Can hardly stand to play the local country stations today.
The 90’s were the last era of good Rock n Roll. Whoever af]green with me put those thumbs 👍👍👍up!
90s country music was at its best.
love his rockabilly, twang and his moves, OMG smooth and sexy. Wish I had seen him in concert but never got the chance. Love listening to him while working.
He likes to hang out around some honky tonks out in the boonies here in Texas. He lives in the Hollywood hills and hangs out at the House of Blues on Sunset blvd. in LA.
Saw him once……amazing! As were his skintight gold leather jeans…..
This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our heart.

Love the way Dwight wears his dudes 🇺🇸
The current crop of “country” singers couldn’t carry Dwights’ guitar pick.
Sad, really.
Couldn't carry his jock strap. Some probably would
Billy Rae Cyrus would disagree.

I'm not really a country fan. But I TOTALLY LOVE THIS SONG. MAN, I NEVER THOUGHT IN A MILLION YEARS THAT SOMEONE COULD DO A MAKEOVER OF AN ELVIS SONG. AND MAKE IT SOUND THIS GREAT. ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER. THANKS FOR THE POST. ENJOY EVERYONE.

Dwight has his own unique way of performing and no one can duplicate it.
Dwight...true to old school country music. The current generation needs to look back on what their predecessors were doing years ago. Don't need "country rock/rap".
The crap that plays nowadays is more like pop...autotuned bs. Bro country as we like to call it...lol.

Hi Dwight I grew up listening to your music. My Dad always listened to & had albums of yours at home. Guitars, Cadillacs, & many others he loved & listened to. My Mom really loved it when he listened to you too. She always loved anybody who could sing or play a song with a beat. Something fast that you can dance to. All of your songs are huge favorites of mine. If I had to pick only one of each (A ballad & A fast song) it would have to be, I Sang Dixie, & Guitars, Cadillacs. I remember how much I'd hit the repeat on those ones bigtime. My Dad listened to many others also, including your hero, Buck Owens. Dad listened to him a lot too, & if I only had to pick 1 of each for home it would be Crying' Time, & Streets Of Bakerfield. I could never get enough of Streets of Bakersfield as a kid. When you sang it with him as a duet, that was a huge surprise because, even to this day, it's still one of my most favorite duets of all time. It's a country music hall of fame song indeed. It's a classic. Thank you & of course, Buck for all of the great music you ever put out. It sure brings a lot of positivity & more to all who listen to it. Take care & all the best of life & health to you. A lifelong fan of yours always. :)
