Spider staring contest is a good story. 😆 Happy you're getting better. When did hobbies become something to compare/compete and not about fun and enjoyment? I purposefully have very few projects and work on the same one for many months at a time. Each one fulfills a specific stitching itch black and white, smaller count, perfect image, blackwork. I never count stitch or do challenges. Stitch cross country by page or color complete or some funky way that feel right in the moment. That's MY stitching groove. It does wonders for me and my walls. Thanks for the video.
Good morning, Ailarra- Hope you and your family are well. Looking forward to see a new video from you when you are able. Jenn mentions she has talked to you in some of her videos, so I know you are stitching 😊
Enjoy the eclipse! We were in the path of totality back in 2017 and hosted a bunch of friends and family at our family farm to enjoy the day. I was surprisingly moved in the moment. It is such an incredible sensation and I felt such awe at our universe. All the best to you on your health journey.
Glad to hear your feeling better. Know how you feel about spiders. I am right in the middle of the line of totality for the eclipse. Hope to be able to watch it during my break at work
Hey Ailarra! Glad you are feeling better and hope it continues to go that way so that you don't need to go to urgent care. I ended up having bronchitis so was put on a stronger antibiotic for another 10 days and am slowly starting to regain some energy, although the last 2 days have been kind of rough as I think Walter gave me a slight concussion or danged close to it. He has been going through a being mean streak for a few months (long story about home life with his live-in cousins). I was bent over getting a bowl out of the bottom cupboard while prepping Easter dinner and he came up, purposely shoved the cupboard door into me hard enough that it knocked my glasses off and made me hit the drawer handle hard enough that I was unsteady on my feet for a few seconds, had an immediate headache to the point where I applied ice (I never apply ice to anything other than injection sites because it flares my fibro). Had a headache all day Sunday and intermittently on Monday. I was in tears for quite a while because of the pain. We are just at our wits end on how to change his behavior. You did another amazing amount of stitching. Dragons is looking really great, so nice to see the dragons outlines coming in. I've been lucky to get in 200 stitches a day and most days less than that lately. Hopefully that will change once I am feeling up to speed and get household chores caught up. Sending you gentle hugs and well wishes. Hope your hammock hang is a rousing success. Happy stitching. Dawn
Aww, Dawn, you've been through the wringer lately! I'm so sorry to hear Walter's behavior hasn't improved 🙁. Kids absorb everything - good and bad. I hope there can be improvement for both of you in the near future. I did end up going to the clinic, but glad I did so. The NP gave me the hookup on meds - cough syrup, inhaler, and another round of antibiotics. Time to kick this cough to the curb! Hope you get some time to relax soon. 💙🦄💜🌷
Hi Ailarra Love all of your WIPS - you are making great progress on them. They are looking great. I am glad that you are feeling better. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵❤️
Up all your 300 count to 500 and take all your ones over 1200 down to 1200. It will probably come close to the same stitch count and that way you don’t have to slog through the whole year. Love watching you and Jenn.
Aww thanks for the shoutout ! 💞 hope you feel better soon hunni, great excuse to sit and stitch, you take care of yourself 😘 Loved your stitching as always, also a process stitcher, doesnt faze me how many wips or new starts 😂😂 Enjoy time off with the family 🥰 xx
Thank you for turning down the volume when using the marker, that was really nice of you to do. I listen to Flosstube through headphones so it was a lot. Thumbs up to your stepson for rehoming the spider, it needs to live outside where there is more food anyway. :)
I was going to say to seperate out your paper patterns and next thing I know that’s what you did 😜 Depending on the paper pattern if I have a headache/head cold they’re generally a no go. Glad you’re feeling a bit better. Hopefully it kindly leaves you so you don’t have to visit the hospital again 💜
OMG I’d have burnt the house down - spiders are feral. LOL Glad you’re feeling a bit better and it was lovely to zoom with you the other day too, take care Nic x
Awesome spending time with you Ailarra, you have made great progress even with being unwell. Congratulations on reaching 170k black stitches on the dragons of Sabbath. Amazing achievement. Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷
Glad to hear you are feeling better. I don’t mind paper patterns since I have yet to try Pattern Keeper. It’s got my big HAED loaded and ready. Easter is usually my finish weekend. What ever needs the least to do gets done. One finish so far. Second will be by tonight. Rest up and stitch away.
Chimera Black Rose was one of the Lori Prindle horses I bought! I’m waiting for fabric to come in but I was dying to start this one as well so im going to start with you!
Loving all your projects. They are coming along so well. With regards to the dimension kit going into mark up, watch Collette the highway stitchers floss tube extra on how she get the pdf chart for the projects
Thanks for showing Victorian Charm by Dimensions. I had problems getting it into an app too and just stitching from the paper pattern also. Made me feel a bit better that I am not alone. You were wondering who the designer is, it is Travis Brown. I haven’t been able to find any other patterns by him.
Definitely not alone in the paper pattern struggle with that one lol. Luckily it's one of their easier ones to read so far! Thank you for the designer's name! 💙🦄💜
I rarely set stitch number goals. My goals tend to be finish a gift before event, or finish a project before it turns 10 years old. My full coverage I’ve found needs a stitch number goal or else I’ll never touch it or make enough progress to be visible. So I math how many stitches for however many pages and figure out a daily minimum and add 50+ stitches to account for no/low stitchy days. Somehow this year I’ve admittedly hardly touched it and now my required numbers are becoming so daunting. I’m still on track to finish it before it turns 10 in 4 years, but life happens and the plans & goals go up in flames. Last year went up in flames around 30k stitches of the desired 63k. Right now I’m around 10k of 78k. I need a few weeks of concentrated 350+ days to make things feel back under control. Although if I at least hit 52k I’ll average 1k a week…I want at least 50k which is an entire row plus some. Must stop obsessing over my numbers and just get in what I can…
I didn't think about it, but pneumonia can be caused by abdominal surgery. The stuff they give you to put you to sleep and kill the pain pools in the lungs. It happened to me after my first C-section 15 years ago. It came on within the first 3 weeks after she was born. I didn't do the breathing exercises they told me to do. Next C-section I did more than I should have to avoid pneumonia. I hope you feel better soon. Rest and get better.
I would have had a heart attack. I am terrified of spiders and I live in the country and we have one that is green and black and it waves a rick wreck web. It won’t hurt you, but when you get too close, it starts swinging and that web goes back-and-forth and I had one swinging right by my head that I didn’t know was there and my husband said honey walked very close to me and don’t look back and of course I look back and there it was heart attack.

Thanks for watching! I'm glad your methods work for you! I find the challenges motivate me and help me to feel a bit less isolated in our craft 💙🦄💜😃
Wonderful update❤. Fingers crossed you continue to feel better and stay better! Your spider story was hilarious and terrifying all at the same time!
Thank you so much for watching, Jan! 💙🦄🪡
Loved catching up with you! Thanks for sharing and Happy Stitching!
