i have heard a few other flosstubers mention digital magazine subscriptions that gives access to back issues that may be a solution to the hunt just do a month and find the ones you were missing. something to look into could save some money

I have the perpetual calendar! My grandmother made it long ago and it eventually made its way to me. I don’t have the pattern, but one of these days I need to make some current years and maybe new special occasion days. As a kid, I loved updating the calendar each month. The Rainbow Brite book is also on my wish list! They look really fun to stitch.

I don’t know that you need the Valdani threads. I have a lot of friends tell me they really don’t like them much. You could possibly convert to some other overdyed threads instead of dmc. I’m slowly but surely kitting Polar Mandala. I have bought maybe 3 of the silks that are called for so far. I’ll be doing it on white.

Great thrift haul! I can never find goodies like that in stores near me! Wow that 🌈 brite pattern book really brought me back to my childhood lol. I still have several of those stuffed animals in the attic at my moms. Rainbow brite and care bears....i was obsessed!!😂 Happy stitching! 🐈‍⬛🪡❤️

Oh my gosh I have seen some of the Rainbow Brite ones stitched up but had no idea there was a whole book. I need the two starlight patterns. Hoping I can find for decent on eBay too, now that I know what the book is called. Thank you.

I have stitched the Exotic Garden Rug. Don't remember what count I used, but it was black fabric. It ended up 2 feet by 3 feet. One of my favorite pieces. I have also stitched the Christmas stocking.

I love the concept of loose goals. I had already told myself 2025 was going to be a no goal year. Now I’ll modify my stance a bit. As for your autumn stitch? I’ve stitched the spring Rosewood Manor Quaker and did not like stitching with the Valdani thread, so substituted 12 wt Sulky Blendables. You might look at those threads. Happy stitching to you.

That Paula Vaughn book made our list of the most expensive cross stitch books.I have a different book by her. I will definitely be starting one next year if you want to do a Paula SAL

So I did a deep dive into the stitcher's world pattern. Looks like Herrschner's has a downloadable pattern for 9.99 if it's cheaper or faster than tracking down those 2 extra magazines.

Thank you for sharing such deep emotional and mental health issues. It is a very personal journey for each of us. When you mentioned about the hair loss it struck such a cord in me as well. I have had such a hair loss like that and my hair still has not recovered from it. It happened in 2020 after recovering from Covid. It’s just hair but boy oh boy; it is for me such a part of me that I feel like I lost a limb. I know it’s not but it hit me hard, still does, even as I write this. Anyway I hope you’re taking care of yourself, stitching away and living your best life. I see ya and hear ya. ❤

So we have never met or exchanged messages, not great with communicating myself, but I have been watching your videos for a while and what you choose to share is an honour to those listening and provides a safe space at times for others who are not ready to speak but hearing it from someone lets them know they are not alone. I want to let you know I see you, I have been in that space of thinking would it not be easier for everyone if I am not here any more. The darkness is real and it is deep and it can be the strangest things that motivate you to move past it, like if I am gone I will never get to see the end of this show that I love or what new patterns are going to come out. All this meandering just to say I am glad you are learning about yourself, the boundaries you wish to set with others and know that while the fight and struggle is individual and that the depths of your experience can seem impossible to put to words, that I wish you all the best in the world. May the stitches and projects you do and the people in your life help build strength and support around you and shield you. May the emotions flow through you crafts to help you process and move through and forward towards all you would like to do next.

Ohh hunny. I feel what you are going through. I realize this was a few years ago for you, but this is my reality today. Not Cancer but the spoons theory I feel. My father passed in June, and has been suffering since December. We had to lay our 6 year old black lab to sleep as she blew out her knees in April. And everything is just starting to hit me now. ❤. Thank you for sharing. It helps. 💕. You are so articulate about what you need and how you are. So thank you!
