I traded my Tuareg for the 790 Adventure. The reason for that is that the Tuareg was unreliable for me, plus I had to drive 5 hours for any repairs. I had my share of them. The 790 is so much fun to drive. One thing you need to know is the shop you take it too needs to ask you when you want your next service. The manual says 9k, which is too long to go for an oil change. If the shop doesn't change the next service interval with their computer, then the service light comes on every 600 miles. My dealer didn't figure it out until yesterday. Also some of the bolts are challenging to get off and on. I have 2k on it now. Good luck with yours.
Pleased you like the bike, I have the 890 s 2022 version such a great bike, I have the SC project rally exhaust sounds great and looks the part. Good video thanks
I stumbled on your videos and have enjoyed the few I’ve watched. Curious, why did you move on from the Ibex to the KTM 790? The Ibex 800 T really intrigues me. I’m currently riding a KTM 1190 Adventure and really like it, hands down one of the best bikes I’ve owned, but major downside is I’m 4+ hours away from dealership so getting work done on it is a pain. CFMOTO dealership is only an hour away, so the Ibex is on my radar. Plus, I don’t do heavy off road (minimum maintenance roads, gravel roads, two track - nothing too technical) so I don’t need a highly dirt-capable bike.
I wanted to improve my skills off pavement... also this KTM carries it's weight better (lighter and fuel tanks are down low). The Ibex always felt top heavy to me and at 5'9" it was never confidence inspiring at slower speeds. On the highway its amazing and comfortable but I had a hard time pushing myself to learn... even day by day it felt like a chore to "climb aboard" the IBEX. Overall the Ibex is a great bike and the fit and finish is so much better... but the KTM just feels waaaay more confidence inspiring and more adventurous.
Congratulations! Just reached my first service on a 23 890R. Such an amazing machine❤

@@JasonRidesmoto totally makes sense. I’m amazed how planted my KTM 1190 feels off pavement for such a large bike. Thanks for your response!
