Jess, sweet girl, it is so wonderful to see you coming back to life and having the energy to do normal things like fold laundry and make dinner instead of lying on the couch being miserable. You are an amazing young woman!
Could not agree more, you go Jess!
Awesome how well you are doing ! Don’t apologize for book reading days….you need that too
So happy to see you with so much energy and out and about doing and socializing 👏👍❣️
Congratulations on starting back to school. A slow start sounds perfect. Rest when you can. Don’t overdo❤
Nothing is better than tomatoes right out of the garden. Thanks to you, we will be having BLT's for dinner! I like my tops to be oversized. You can layer and when clothes are bigger they seem more cozy and comfortable.
I think it is wise to do a couple of online courses to ease back into college. It will get your brain back in learning mode and no strain of having tons of activities, etc. to wear you out.
Agree , I love fresh tomatoes and lettuce from the garden. There is nothing better. I had a mini schnauzer that ate her snack in the garden, she loved cherry or grape tomatoes. She was always eating them❤and sugar snap peas.
I really enjoy watching your videos! I'm older than your mom, but you have an enjoyable outlook and approach to life and its a breath of fresh air. Your parents did a wonderful job of teaching you life skills.
I love seeing you surrounded by things you love…your family, good food, books, candles, matcha…. We all should be doing this.
Jessica, I am glad that you are able to do things now like fold the laundry, cook, go to school, and meet your lovely friends which will make you happy and distract you from the terrible situation which you had to go through.
It is good to see you getting your energy back but don't push yourself too hard. Take the time you need to recuperate. Online classes sound like a great way to ease back into school.
It made my heart so full to see you just doing every day things like laundry, cooking dinner for your parents and going grocery shopping. I’m so glad you’re starting to feel better and getting some strength back. I saw a T-shirt today that said stronger then cancer and you are!!
That's a very smart decision to do part time on line school from home. Make your reapproach to university life slow and gentle as your body reacquaints itself to the outside world. Here in new England, US, Covid is making a resurgence -- slowly, but steadily. Waiting for the new vaccine to be released, which should happen within a month -- maybe sooner. I'm vulnerable, so take all the cautions seriously. Stay well, Jess!!
I’m also in New England, western Massachusetts to be exact. We’ve heard about a resurgence, but our area hasn’t seen anything yet, to my knowledge (knock on wood). I’m vulnerable myself, so stay safe! It’s been hard seeing Jess go through this, but it’s also been incredibly inspiring to watch such a young woman be so strong and brave. I know too many people who have also been affected by this horrible disease. Unfortunately, I’m sure I’m not the only one.
@@lisaanderson135 -- Jess and her family are inspiring -- no doubt about it. I was widowed early on due to pancreatic cancer, but back then there weren't methods to diagnose early -- so happy for Jess that she's had such great medical care. I lived temporarily for 2 years finishing grad school in the late '90s in Billerica, a very different place from my then home in the Northeast Corner of CT -- beautiful and rural. I got very good at traveling 128 -- kept me on my toes! and have a good friend who lives In Orange. Western Mass is beautiful. Stay well!
Good decision...covid is still an issue here in Newfoundland too. The new vaccine will be out soon I hope! Stay safe Jess...your immune system has taken a beating! Online classes may be a better option for you!
@@ede-jomadden8182 I’m so sorry about your loss! Unfortunately I lost my father in 2007 to bone/lung cancer (stage 4), then my mom passed in 2016 from a terminal brain cancer called glioblastoma. My dad was only 58 years old and my mom was 66. I am in remission from thyroid cancer that was found in 2019. When you have close family and friends that have been stricken down by this illness you become over sensitized to it. I try so hard to not let myself get stuck in a ditch of self pity, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. I’m very familiar with that part of CT! Take care!
@@lisaanderson135 -- that's a lot of family history to deal with, and then your own experience -- at least thyroid cancer is treatable for the most part -- now you and I (hypo/hashimotos) and millions of others keep the makers of levothyroxine or a similar drug in business. I am of your parents' generation -- would have been in high school together -- they both were too young to leave -- that in itself is heartbreaking. Sandi is good medicine, don't you find? So much to learn from her and to watch -- I love everything she does. I'll be picturing you surrounded by light -- and sending good vibrations your way!
When I was in college, they gave us sheets with the reading, tests, and homework with the due dates in every class. I found it really helped to do the assignments ahead of time, leaving the reading for the night before. It really helped.
OMG, Jess. Get a second monitor. Once you go 2screen, you never go back. Easy to set up and you can drag stuff from one screen to the other. Way easier than laptop + iPad. ❤❤❤
It’s lovely to see you slowly getting back to your regular life post chemo. You are such a strong young lady and should be proud of yourself for how you have dealt with the last year x
I am really very pleased to see that you are feeling better and that you are enjoying your reading.
And that you are thinking about getting getting back into the field. ❤❤❤❤
I finished chemotherapy on August 29th. So good to see you getting your energy back. It's a big deal to fold laundry, make food/drinks, edit a video. All good. One day at a time.
Glad your better and doing more. I hated seeing you go thur chemo but glad your energetic more now. Still sending prayers. Girl you got this
Omg Jess it make cry to see you have the wonderful simple great things in life trying to decide on morning coffee sitting on a summer porch an appetite for tomatoes making dinner I’m so so happy for you ❤
That's why I've always said that girls are tougher than boys, and I see that in my own daughter, who has been through a lot, including two transplants. Go Jesse go!
Don't worry about filming us. You come first for you. We all understand. So happy to see how well you're doing. Happy you're able to take classes on line.
No need to apologize and worry about filming and content etc, you just look after yourself and take it easy. Put yourself first hun xx
Aw Jess, I'm glad you're taking some personal time. You deserve every second of it. It will be really great for your parents to see you getting better also. Less stress, right now, is perfection. Hugs.
Love your sweatshirt, Jess! 🎃
Jess, it's so good to see you with energy and running upstairs, cooking, doing laundry and shopping. I'm so happy for you. Prayers do work. 🥰🥰
Gone Girl is an amazing book!
So amazing how well you're doing. I'm so glad you got to spend time with your friends.
Love seeing more sparkle and energy as you get further along your recovery journey, Jess! Don't think you need to apologize for not picking up the camera as much as you think you should - when you do you always let us know whst you've been up to and I love the 'reading all day' status myself! 📚❤
I think you were very wise to ease into school again the way you're doing, but I hope you take regular field trips to visit your friends and the campus. It's fun to see and hear about the great friend group that surrounds you.
Looking forward to the next reading vlog! Take care, and hugs from here in Summerville SC! 🌞
Love seeing you come back to life in all the right ways. Thinking starting classes this way is an excellent idea. Yes Jess, beyond a shadow of a doubt all of that harsh medication most definitely dried your skin out, if you know a good facialist I would highly recommend getting an appointment to remove the dried layers and get those pores breathing again. So happy you are enjoying a good read, and starting a group can be really fun. Thanks for taking us along, see you soon!
Good to see you up and about doing normal things again…..yes your friends are a great booster to your mental health for sure….and not taking on more school than you can handle is a good thing, doing well in a few classes is better than trying to tackle a full schedule.🥰🥳
Jess it fabulous to see your positive energy about everything that you are dealing with. Keep up the Faith Young Lady!
When i first grauated, i got a teaching job but didn't get my first paycheck for a month and i was broke. The girls at work were sharing tomatoes so i bought a big bag of pasta and ate pasta with fresh tomatoes for weeks. I still love it.
Good Luck!! God Bless❤
Love your videos! Also on a different note I thought I was weird for removing the dust jacket when I read a book. It makes me glad that there is someone else who does it.
Me too❤
I've always done it, and I started reading at 4. My Dad told me to keep the dust cover intact to protect the book on the shelf and hold the cover in your hands, since it is more sturdy. Unfortunately that was before all these paperbacks that don't hold up as well, and don't have dust covers anyway. I think he'd be disappointed with most soft cover books. He used to open each book and smell it, even ones from the library. He'd say "I smell adventure" and smile. New books don't smell the same as when I was younger...more "chemically".😮
Jess, would you be willing to share the names of your classes? My college years were 1967 to 1984. I'm curious about what you're taking for ag business and ag science. (I'm a retired hospice physician, so the science part really interests me.) I'm so happy that you are feeling well enough to dive into school already. ❤🎉
It's so good to see you looking healthy and happy and enjoying life!!! Lots of hugs and love sent your way!
Hey Jess, ty for continuing to let us into your world. Been praying for you all. Even miss piper . shes quite a personality. Hugs
If those are paste tomatoes, you can make your own salsa, ketchup, tomato sauce, etc. If slicers, you can slice them, dip them in beaten raw eggs, dip in crumbs, and fry for fried tomatoes.
You look so good! It seems like you are bouncing back from chemo relatively fast. I think you made the right decision about school. Best not to over extend yourself to fast. I’m so happy to see the smile on your face. Take care and say hi to the family. 😊❤
I love it Jess you are so wide eyed and springy; with everything you have had to endure it's a nice sight to see for sure. much love to you live life to the fullest !!
Fellow cancer survivor here. My skin so super dry as well. So dry in fact that mu would crack and bleed. Moisturizing is a must. I found that aquaphor at night before bed to be the best moisturizer for me. And super cheap. I’m so happy to see you feeling better and coming back to life. Keep kicking butt!!!
WOWZA!!!! Its awesome to see you so full of energy and getting back into the swing of things.
I love your videos as much as I love your moms, I’m so proud of all that you’ve come through, I pray for you still, glad your taking it easy with simple school rather than trying to be as it were “normal” , stay well Jess, ps love the hoodies from a&f!
It’s wonderful that you are getting back to health! Don’t be too hard on yourself….it will get better! ❤
Matcha Latte is healthier for you. Even my family has switched to green tea/matcha products. Enjoying more vibing/less caffeine jitters, too. Love it when you talk to us like we're sitting in a chair next to you like buds. Going through all the clothes reminded me of how beautiful you are. So happy you're returning to school. 20/20 hindsight, I would have finished college 30 years ago instead of dropping out to work full time.
Your hair is growing back how exciting
You are such an inspiration ,to so many .. you seem so thoughtful of others and kind … I hope your treatment goes well and you are able to be back to all your classes and activities very soon ..❤️💕
I'm so glad your life is going back to somewhat normal ❤
God bless you Jess, and congratulations on going back to school. I think you are resilient and I admire your strength.
It is so nice to see you doing so well. School is a good thing. Glad you had fun with your friends. I've not picked up any books to read, but I'm doing those diamond paintings and I love it. I'm an old lady and yes you could be another granddaughter of mine. So I have all the time in the world. Keep up the good work.❤❤❤❤
Lots of hugs for You and your family we appreciate all of your hard work!
It is so good to see you coming back to your old self and considering school. Do what you can when you can. Love you, Sweetie. Take care and be safe.
ive heard if you are on chemo. they say eat drink something (sometimes) you dont really like and it stops you going off things that you do xx you look lovely jessica
Love the glasses, great to see you doing all the things you did before the cancer treatments. Keep healing and moving forward with positive vibes and living life to the fullest. I make my bacon the same easy way. Have a wonderful school year.
My heart is bursting with joy seeing your strength coming back, you are remarkable!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤❤❤❤
You are Amazing. I have been following you and Sandi for a long while now. Praying for you and Family during your treatment. I'm so Thankful your strength is improving. You are very wise in taking on line classes and keeping it light. That is wise as you are still healing. Just wanted you to know how BLESSED I am to know you and your family. I will continue praying for you Sweet Girl❤ Hugs❤
I can see you’re bouncing back!😊 I love your new hoodies. I want to reach through the screen to touch the fabric, it looks so cozy.❤
Hi Jess, so happy for you for a couple of classes. You are smart to start slow. It’s also so good to hear you want to eat. Thank you for the video.
Sounds like your homework load is light which is perfect for easing back into it.
Hey Jess glad you going Back to school. God is good 🙏🏽❤️🥰👍🏿💥
I'm glad your taking it easy this semester. Gone girl is a great book.😊
So very glad to see you getting some energy back. Give yourself grace! You/your body has been through hell and back. It will take time to recover.
Part time seems a very smart choice ❤❤❤❤
Tomatoes fresh from the garden are my favorite thing about summer. I have a lot and I have been eating as many as possible, and putting up tomato sauce in jars. Most years I end up having a lot go to waste, but so far this year I have been really good at keeping up .
So glad to see your energy and appetite come back…and yes, your tastes will change after chemo. I craved more spicy foods.
I am so proud of you, you have been through hell and back. Your an inspiration to the younger generation and older. Like your Mom your strong, determined and you keep going.
BEAST MOOD❤💪💪💪
Jess... thank you so much for your weekly vlog. Its inspiring to me and to others to witness your post-chemo recovery... your decisions, choices, and routines are uplifting, educational, and entertaining. It seems that you're making good choices... i.e. - going back to school, but for now, doing it on-line. Keep your spirits up and please keep vlogging!
You are beautiful like your mom! You are looking great for everything you have been through. Praying for you.
One wash and dried in the tumble drier, your new hoody will shrink just enough to be the perfect size 😊
I really enjoy your chit-chat videos! Enjoy the start of a new semester. Your BLT inspired me to make one too 🥓
Jess, your vlogs are interesting. A little glimpse into who Jess is, a busy young lady. My daughter enjoyed Gone Girl. That’s all I’ve got to say, give Piper a hug .
I’m older than you (much older), but envious of your energy. You are doing great and I’m so happy you’re doing well.
So stinking glad to see you so up beat and looking so good! Love your videos! ❤
Jess, You are a fighter and a winner. Go back to and be proud.. Be as proud of yourself as WE ALL are proud of you. And I am sure I speak for every one of your and your family FANS. WE LOVE YOU. ❤ STAY STRONG. OH YEA, AND SMILE. You are beautiful with or without hair. Not many women can pull that off. Give your Mom a hug for me.🤟
Spend time enjoying every day, eating what you want, whatever!
Starting the first of 15 books in the “Wheel of Time” series by Robert Jordan. I’ll make a comment when I get half way through. Have stashed a couple of your books for the future.
Me too!!
The wheel of time series is awesome . I read them back when I had to wait for half of them to be written. I was always waiting on the next book and it drove me crazy.😊
Jess it’s so good to see you up and moving Love fresh homegrown tomatoes.
It so good to see that cheerful spunk come back and did I notice you have color coming back into your cheeks? Your beautiful beyond words and so glad you’re feeling better every day.☺️
So happy to see you enjoy reading. BLTs are really great and one of my favorite sandwiches. Fresh tomatoes are the best right from the garden. Yum. Online classes are a very good choice. Oversized is good and very comfy. Ya
The energy you have to is so refreshing to see. God bless you Jess you are an amazing young lady.
It’s lovely to see that beautiful smile again 😊 stay strong 🤗😘
Online courses was the way I did all of my college, well, except for my associates degree. So and all by the way, I’m enjoying seeing the fuzz grow a little bit more. Yeah I remember that with mine.
This is the first video (following chemo) where your voice sounds strong! Welcome back to health. ❤
Love your new clothes.
Hope you're doing alright keep going!! YOU GOT SUCH GOOD POSITIVE ENGERYY
Congratulations for going back to school remotely! That was a wise decision to start back slowly. I am so glad you could go and see your school friends! Pat your puppy. She is great. We have an almost 8 year old border collie named Jewel. Dogs are the best! I hope the weather gets more fall-like so you can spend time at the cabin.
You're taking things intelligently. Btw, you are SOOOO lucky to have cool parents! I was in a situation at your age where I really needed to stay home and recover from something, but my parents' home was not a safe or welcoming place for me to live, so I instead jumped into an abusive marriage situation (that, believe it or not, was an *improvement* over that household).
Love how you plan things and are so organized. Have a great school year!
I’m proud of you
Glad to see you are doing better, each day will be better and better
It’s so good to see you getting back to yourself & feeling human again! ❤❤❤
I really enjoy your vlogs ❤
Great to see you up , out and about , doing 'normal ' stuff. A good call on staying home and taking studies slowly.
Thank you for sharing your journey. We wish you the best. This year we were overwhelmed with cherry tomatoes, sliced them then oven dried them. They are a bit over dried and we sprinkle them and chives for our eggs.
It is wonderful to see you on your way to healing! Such a beautiful place you live. Just that is food for the soul. And the fact you are a reader is even better! May God bless you and keep you and make his light shine upon you, today and ever more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
And your precious parents who have walked through hell.
P.S. love big cozy clothes to snug in when the cold days come. You would be darling in a gunny sack 😆
YAY…Your getting your strength back!
Currently reading The Queen's Rising and love it! I found your channel as I was looking for reading vlogs and love your content! Can't wait for more book tips! And you rock that cancer treatment, I hope you will get better and better!
so glad you have alot more energy then before and more like your self keep up the good work love your videos
Tomatoes taste wonderful, but as a fibromyalgia patient I can attest to how much pain they cause me. Last year I bought 2 big tomatoes and ate 4 tomato sandwiches. My whole body hurt so much, especially my knees got super swollen, that I could not walk too far for a week. I have to restrict or eliminate my intake of nightshade vegetables. BLTs taste wonderful! Hopefully this hurricane headed your way does no harm. Online schooling sounds like a great way to continue to heal for awhile until you feel up to getting back into life. Take good care.
I’d always choose matcha - I have chron’s disease and it is the one drink I enjoy that doesn’t make me nauseated. Also I love to read, I enjoy your book recommendations and your strength and resilience in fighting cancer.
Jess, it is so great seeing you up and about!!!!❤❤
You are doing amazing!!
Have a great week Jess!🧡💜🧡
If you like bacon but don’t like the fat, try wrapping it in paper towels and microwaving it. About 45 seconds to a minute per rasher. I put 3 layers of paper towels below and one on top.
